My name is Cale Kinley and I'm a f--king virgin. Well, with the exception of my tongue. The countless things I can do with my tongue are bound to leave you breathless and begging for more, but more is something that I can't give. It's a choice. My choice.
There's a reason for that. A very good reason, and that reason is her.
Riley.
She's the only woman that I want to bury myself deep in. The one woman I have wanted since I was old enough to f--k.
I never got my chance though, because she left. She had no choice and it stung like hell. But I couldn't let her leave without telling her how I felt. I wanted her to be my first and I didn't give a shit how long I'd have to wait.
It's been six years and now she's back and sexier than all hell. Just the sight of her stops my damn heart from beating. I want her and for more than just having her as my first.
I'm determined to have her in every way possible. She thinks this is still a game; that I've already given myself to countless women. What she doesn't know is that I have a lot of willpower.
When I want something as badly as I want her, I don't let shit stand in my way. I'm going to prove that to her. There's just one little problem I need to take care Him.

Hey everyone!! I'm the author of the Walk of Shame Series plus many other titles! If you're into reading about sexy, dirty talking alpha males then you're in the right place!!!
Any books listed under my name that aren't Romance do NOT belong to me! They just keep appearing under my name.
I was really excited to read this. I mean come on,A VIRGIN MALE STRIPPER. You don't hear that everyday.
So this is the 3rd book in the Walk of Shame series and if you've seen my other reviews for the previous books you'll know how much I love this series.
Whats not to love? God bless America!
So this book is about Cale (our virgin stripper). Six years ago Cale promised himself that he will never give himself up only to the women that he loves, and that women is Riley.
“She’s the one and only girl I have ever loved and I never even got the chance to tell her. Life can be a bitch . . .”
AKA his best friend since childhood. He let that opportunity pass when she moved to Mexico? Yah I think so. Anyways, he kept his promise that he will wait for her. So when Riley gets back six years later....things go down. Literally.
One taste. One fucking taste and I’m ready to give her all of me. I want to bury myself between her legs so bad
The only problem I had was that it was short and we didn't really get anything from their past. But for only like the Prologue and that's like 2 pages only. So I wasn't really sure of what to feel when I know nothing about their history.
☆I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much!! ☆
"When Cale loves someone, he loves them with everything in him."
Cale. The virgin male heroine of the series. Man, was I waiting for his story. Especially, after reading that synopsis! Wowza!
Cale and Riley have been besties ever since they can remember. They also have been unknowingly in love with each other for as long too.
With chance taking Riley away and years later bringing her back into Cale's grips, he's not taking any more chances. It's time now to finally claim what's always been his, and that is, Riley.
But with Riley's ex and Cale's racy occupation at The Walk of Shame causing concerns, as well as the two battling their own insecurities and feelings for each other, how will it all turn out? Is their love truly meant to be? Or not at all?
An over all smexy as hell read of missed opportunities and friends to lovers romance, ladies get ready to be fanning yourselves and your undergarments!
I was really excited to get Cale's book and if you've read the Walk of Shame books, you know why.
Unfortunately, I was a little bit disappointed. For one thing, this book is really short...it's only 133 pages. Not nearly enough to do Cale justice. This causes things to hit the ground running. I didn't feel there was enough time for Cale and Riley to reacquaint themselves with each other...emotionally.
There's also some drama with an ex and Cale's profession, of course. Although Riley's profession wasn't addressed at all...I can't imagine Cale would be okay with that.
It was great getting more Aspen and Slate, okay, mainly Slate. Slate still busts me up and I loved how he gave Cale a hard time. I did like getting more of the guys...and there's some new ones as well. I'm sure there will be more books and my bet for the next one is Stone.

TITLE: Cale SERIES: (Walk of Shame #3) AUTHOR: Victoria Ashley GENRE: Contemporary Romance PUBLICATION: July 6th 2015 MY RATING: 4 STARS!!
I have followed *coughs* more like stalked this series right from the very first book, and when I saw this sitting on my kindle I did the meanest booty dance in history!!
My dilemma will be Team SladevsTeam Cale??
Even though I enjoyed this and read it in record time my heart just belongs to TEAM SLADE he was just dirtier, sexier, hotter in a manly sense of the word..
My name is Cale Kinley and I’m a fucking Virgin…<-- I have my WTF face on!!
She's the one and only girl I have ever loved and I never even got the chance to tell her..
“A virgin stripper…. No fucking way. Impossible right? Well, I’m the fucking exception. She is the reason that I’m the exception”.
There were so many times in the past that I wanted to feel him against me, but was too afraid to get close to him..
Soooo I've just picked this up now and can already tell by the first chapter that I'm going to be lost within the pages, I'm drawn into the story straight away, just has that easy flow writing style that's easy to follow and draws you in..
You work at the bar tonight? Bartending, right?
I choke a little on my orange juice, realizing that I haven’t mentioned the small fact that I’m a fucking male stripper.
OPPSEY
So… tell me about your job, Cale. I want to know what you’ve been up to. I want to know all the details.
SNORTS
Wonder how this shit storm is going to go down? Well she took that little bit of information better than I thought she would..
This kind of story is one of my biggest weaknesses, from friends to lovers..
You will be the first woman to have me inside of her. I promise that… Rile. Just wait and see.
These two's sexual tension and their release without actually going to full distance is pretty damn hot!! for a virgin he sure knows how to work what he's got..

My Thoughts - Story As always with Ms. Ashley’s book, I was sucked in from the first page I read. Don’t even get me started on how freaking hot her sex scenes are ---- I read and then re-read each scene because I couldn’t get enough of Cale. Oh, and don’t get me started on how she describes each time Cale dances at Walk of Shame – now that had my heart pumping and my panties squishing.
Why did I take almost a whole star away? I think the book could have been longer and have been spent longer with Riley coming back home. I would have liked to have Cale fight a bit harder to get to Riley. Maybe have him second guess himself and question his ability to get Riley to agree to be with him. I would have liked to have him a bit uncomfortable and out of his element by taking her on a date and romancing her.
Why? Cause I couldn’t get enough of this boy…bwhahahaha…I just wanted more and more of him!
Re-Cap Have you ever met a male stripper who was still a virgin? How about a man who years ago promised his friend that he would save himself for her? Then you must meet Cale!
He has been waiting for Riley to come back from Mexico after being apart for so many years…and when she gets back, he has every intention of popping his cherry and being with her forever.
But with every new relationship comes hardships and obstacles…How will Riley feel about him being a male stripper? Does Riley have a boyfriend? What if she says no?
Wait a minute…scratch that last question, because Cale will NOT take no for answer.

Not the hottest thing I've ever read either. Tho it's supposed to be a short erotica. The whole - I've kept myself a virgin cuz I've been waiting for you (for 6 years) while I've been a male stripper grinding my junk on every woman that comes in the bar and have my ass and front grabbed by said women on a regular basis and get blown by said women and also blow them back... but I've been WAITING FOR YOU, you know??
Yeah, that whole thing got pretty old pretty quick.
Oh wait! she's a virgin too! Despite having had a bf for a while! Bc she's been waiting for him too!
I dunno folks. I just kinda snored after the FINALLY DONE IT scene and didn't feel the urge to read further.

One trope of romance that I can never get tired of reading of is the friends to lovers theme. And toss in a male virgin stripper who has been in love with one woman, his best friend then that definitely has piqued my interest. In Cale, the third installment of the Walk of Shame series, Ms. Victoria Ashley has readers as to curious who is the real Cale Kinley and his relationship with his best friend, Riley.
Fast forward to six years later, Cale is a stripper at the Walk of Shame and is still a virgin. A hot young blood man still a virgin, who happens to be a stripper. Well for Cale, regardless of how many young women throws themselves at him there will be only woman who owned is heart and body, Riley. When Riley returns back to her hometown,Cale makes it known that this is finally his time to get the girl. Toss in an ex-boyfriend and Cale's occupation into the mix, can these two finally get their shot at a happily ever after?
Cale was a quick fast read. For all those readers who loves the friends to lovers trope, this book might be the book for you. It had some heart-tugging moments of two friends trying to deal with issues that might hinder them from truly becoming a couple. But like any couple that is meant to be, they persevered and showed that the wait to be together was well worth it.
Nope, nope, nope, should have listened to my safety group friends. Even though H is a virgin, descriptive scene of two women giving him a bj at the beginning of the book. He's always been in love with the h, but is willing to do anything oral with OW. I don't want to read that crap unless it's with h. PASS
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is a first Victoria Ashley read for me so obviously, I haven't read the first 2 books in this series, and I found that it was ok. Just like with any stand-alones within a series, the characters in previous books show up here and there but it doesn't give away anything as the focus are on new characters.
It reminds me of Magic Mike, how can it not?!! I rarely read H's with Cale's background, and even more rarely a virgin one at that. I thought that made it different than most. Although with his talents, I must say it's hard to believe it at times. Riley is the h who Cale's been in love with, for like ever. They have a long history, a cute one. In a way, Cale is adorable. His thoughts on Riley has always been about how to take care of her and how to tend to her. It’s always about what she needs. And Riley is not bad as a h. She’s considerate of Cale. And it shows how much they care for each other. Nothing feels contrived about their interactions.
It's a quick read. Very straight-forward, no unnecessary angst. It's got enough funny moments. It's got heat, that's for sure (if you don't question anything and just enjoy it for what it is). Sometimes, you just need something light that's all about a good romp, a decent story and likable characters.
3.5 STARS Another fun & sexy quick read. Cale was super sweet in this friends to lovers. What's up with everyone having sex at work tho??? Riley was also kind of a bitch when it came to the situation with Tyler but I guess it worked to add some drama into this
Cale, another boy who strips at the Walk of Shame, is our main man in book three of this erotic series. And believe it or not, he is a virgin. But with the moves described, one can only imagine how many women wished they had his V card.
Riley is Cale’s first and only love, only he never told her before she left. Years later, after moving back home and leaving her ex, Tyler, she runs into Cale again. Just like old times, they are very shy to reveal their feelings.
When the sparks start to fly, watch out for your panties. As always, Victoria can write one hell of a steamy scene, so make sure to have extra stock on hand, as the ones you are wearing will get wet.
I really loved the fact that, right off the bat, they seemed to click and became very committed to each other, and even with the few things that could have been major, they seemed to be mature enough to work through the issues instead of throwing in the towel.
There is one part that was hard to believe for me, regarding Riley relationship with her ex... I am not saying it’s not possible, just a little farfetched. ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars
~~~
Cale by Victoria Ashley follows Cale, the virgin stripper who's been waiting for his love, Riley... If you're a Victoria Ashley virgin, you should quickly stop what you are doing and start the Walk of ShameSlade, Hemy and Cale are HOT!!!
Now back to our regularly scheduled...oh, well. Don't worry about panties while reading this book. I fell in love with Cale, so hard and so fast! He's fun, sexy and knows how to temp a girl in the best way possible.
"After not having him touch me for two days, I think I can orgasm just from the feel of his tongue alone."
If that doesn't make you want to stop what you are doing and grab this book, now, I'm not sure what will!! ~ Heather, 4 stars
But also with a bit of a second chance romance undertone to it.
Cale and Riley had never let their relationship move past friendship when they were "kids", but they have both always loved each other and wanted more. Just never said anything.
After being 6 years apart nothing seemed to have changed with the fire that burned between them it seemed to be even hotter and the sexual tension was off the charts.
They made a promise that they would be each other's first.
There was so much emotion in this story between the two of them, being torn every which way.
How do you tell someone you still love them after so many years?
How do you tell them you are still a virgin? Only because you have waited for them.
This story was so sweet and special but also was full of passion and intensity!
I received an arc of this book for an honest review. I was dying for this book before I even finished reading Slade! I wanted to know what had made him be so mysterious & withdrawn, who he was waiting for, how that relationship had ended. I have to say that with all the build up to this book I was left a little disappointed. I guess I thought that maybe his relationship with Riley had ended contentiously, or maybe she broke his heart by choosing another guy. So he decided to wait or couldn't give his heart to someone else. I was glad to see that it turned out to be less dramatic but with that being said maybe that's why I couldn't connect. Cale & Riley had been best friends since they were kids both harboring secret feelings for each other that neither confessed to the other. Riley had to leave to go take of her grandmother in Mexico & ended up staying for 6 years. During this time they kept in touch but as time went on they slowly lost touch and started to move on. Cale with stripping at Walk of Shame and having meaningless hook ups but never having sex with any of them. Riley with starting to date a guy named Tyler. We find out at the end of Hemy that Riley is coming back to town and that gets Cale going. At the start of Cale, we find that he's wondering when she will arrive back into town and how soon he can see her. Unbeknownst to Cale she's actually already back and not with the boyfriend. We meet Riley as she's about to start her first day at a massage parlor. She's quickly given her first client as soon as she walks in and it turns out to be Cale, who she wasn't quite ready to see. From there I felt like things just went into fast forward. I get that they hadn't seen each other in years and that Cale had a plan to not let her get away without her knowing how he felt about her. But I didn't get that feeling from it, it seemed more about the sex to me. How soon he could show her how he could make her feel, how he could turn her on the way no other man could. Wondering who she'd hooked up with, how many guys she'd been with. Like it was some sort of competition. I guess I wanted to see more of them as friends reacquainting themselves with each other, than him making his move. Basically saying hey I waited for you, you were the one I always wanted. The one I'm meant to spend my life with...... I did get that to an extent but it happened more towards the end. They barely caught up before they went straight into having sex with no thought as to where it was going from there, almost a friends with benefits thing. Heck even Riley's sister Aspen asked her if they were just friends with benefits. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed reading this book and pretty much read it in a day and the sex was HOT, HOT, HOT!!! It was well written which I have come to expect from a Victoria Ashley book. But I think it fell flat for me because I had such HIGH expectations from this book since I fell for our bad boy with the magic tongue all he way back while reading Slade. So I'm gonna have to give this book 3.5 stars.
Let me start by saying I am not trying to be rude in this review, and their may be a few spoilers-not major ones-but they are necessary to get my point across. I usually write spoiler free reviews, but this book really let me down; and it did not live up to the hype it was given.
First, I enjoyed the other two books in this series. This book was pretty much just like them. This is my first issue-originality. This book was basically the same as the first two just insert new character names. Granted I know Cale is a stripper too, and they all worked at the same joint; but I feel as though none of them really showed separate personality. I really thought I would see that with Cale, and I didn't.
Second, this book was basically built around Cale's virginity, so I expected one fantastic first sex scene ( I really expected it even more after finding out Riley was still virgin too). The book was a complete fail in this aspect, which truly surprised me from this author. I was kind of lost at this point. I expected high emotions, and hot descriptive sex. It was no different than anything else.
Third and finally, this book also had no epilogue either. I know they are short Novella's but it was supposedly the end of the series. It would have been nice to hear a little something about all the guys and their HEA. Kids ?, Marriage ?, New Jobs ?.
I know this review sounds rude and ruff, but when I pay 2.99 for a Novella and it is basically the same as the first two; I tend to be let down.
CALE was a great, fast paced, friends to lovers romance with a heavy erotic edge. The author gave us a unique perspective with having our hero be a sexy male stripper who is also a virgin. As crazy as that sounds, it actually worked really well in this story, and it kept me intrigued.
Victoria Ashley always brings the HOTNESS in her stories and CALE was no different. Even though this was an erotic novella, it contained quite a bit of emotion and heart warming moments. There is just something about the friends to lovers trope that just makes you all warm and fuzzy, and to say CALE brought those feelings out of me would be an understatement.
I always enjoy Ms. Ashley's work. She always gives us a complete story with no added fillers. She cuts right to the chase and always packs a punch in this genre. Erotic Romance fans will absolutely enjoy this installment of the Walk of Shame series.
Cale, Victoria Ashley's newest Walk of Shame book and the third in this amazing series, is a sweet, sexy, sinful, and powerful second-chance romance that's a must-read masterpiece. From the very first page, your heart, mind, and soul are pulled--more like dragged--into this beautifully written love story where you can't help but root for that much-coveted second chance and happily ever after. The writing is so descriptive and raw that it makes the story much more compelling and real.
Not quite as hot or humorous as its Slade and Hemy counterparts, Cale is more heavy and heart-tugging where you will have a huge case of the feels. Cale is a poignant and powerful story of second chance love where an oh-so-sexy and sweet stripper will do anything to win back his best friend who captured his heart when they were teens and still holds on to his heart---she just has no clue that he wanted and still wants to be more than friends. Cale is so beautifully and brilliantly written---with just as much sweet as sexy---that you can't help but fall in love with Victoria Ashley's latest sensational Walk of Shame story.
Tall, hot, and oh-so-sexy Cale Kinley is a hot stripper at Walk of Shame--where every woman leaves happy and, perhaps, horny. A unique breed in modern day, sweet and swoon-worthy Cale is a virgin. Yes--he's untouched--the virgin stripper. Talk about oxymoron. Cale has been saving himself for the love of his life, the girl who got away six years ago. Holy amazing gift--a big package to open and take for the first time. Lucky lady.
"We haven't spoken for two years now and even I know, I'm not over her. I'm not sure that I ever will be...I want to find peace in the fact that when my cock enters her, that she's the only woman I've been inside of and that I plan on pleasuring her over and over again until she can no longer handle me. I won't be able to stop and I sure as hell won't have any plans to...Riley Raines is coming home and I know without a single doubt that she's going to ruin me."
Beautiful Riley Raines left Chicago six years ago without looking back--abandoning her best friend, Cale, someone who could have easily been more. Though she has tried to fight her feelings, Cale has taken her head, heart, and soul captive all these years. Now she's back in town and it's time to face reality--Cale.
"As much as I've tried to convince myself that seeing him again won't stir some crazy emotions inside of me, I know with everything in me that that's not true. I'm not sure I can handle seeing him while in this emotional state...Why am I so nervous when this is the guy that I spent most of my teen years with? He's still the same guy except...he's drop dead gorgeous and every inch of his body is covered in hard muscle that I want nothing to explore with my tongue."
Friends to lovers sounds like the perfect recipe for romance. Cale and Riley already have that much-coveted body-to-soul connection. Though the pesky past has a way of raining down on their happy parade. Let's hope they find strength, love, and their well-deserved happily ever after.
"I may give her a day to get her head on straight, but there's no way in hell I'm giving up...Riley is mine. She has been from the very first day we met. It's time I show her that."
WOW...So sad to see this Walk of Shame series come to an end, but what an amazing book to wrap it up! Cale was definitely my favorite of the three men and Riley and Cales story was amazing!
For the past 6 years Cale has thought of no-one but Riley, the girl that got away. Being childhood friends, he never worked up the nerve to tell her how he felt before she left to live with her grandmother. Now after 6 years, she is coming back and he will stop at nothing to tell her this time.
Riley is a girl who has always loved Cale, but never told him before she left town. Now shes back after 6 years, fresh off a 2 year relationship, and scared to see Cale because she knows she will still have the same feelings for him.
I absolutely loved the fact that Cale and Riley were best friends who could never say how they felt. The bond they had between them (a special one.. sorry dont wanna give it away) was amazing and I loved that Victoria made it this way!!! It makes the chemistry between them powerful and sparks definitely fly when Cale finally gets his chance.
The Walk of Shame men are ruthless and Cale was definitely no different when he went after what he wanted. He was HOT and sexy and of course I would love to see this man in action at work ;) Amazing job Victoria and I cannot wait for more of your books!!!
5 "Master Cale" Stars! #Cale is a stripper at Walk of Shame and believe me he has no shame! With a body built like a God he can get anything and anyone he wants, As he keeps his pants on his heart is somewhere else and we are taken on this journey. Riley is awesome and knows what she wants and knows how to get it and keep it all her own. Loved the Victoria gave us a continued insight about what past characters have been up to! Yes Slade and Hemy have been missed! <3 The chemistry Cale and Riley have is real but can they pick up where they left off so many years ago? I left this book wanting a massage! Loved every minute of every chapter a late night keep you up page turner for sure! You will be begging for Cale to take care of you! So he's waiting for you now so be sure to go pick him up cause he's Live! Happy Reading <3
HOLY VIRGIN STRIPPER! I can't even believe I'd say this, but it's true.....CALE is just as hot as HEMY....even given the fact that he's a stripper AND a virgin! His love for Riley is unbelievably sweet. I love that about him. The filthy mouth owns my world. Call me baby any day CALE any day ❤ SWOON! He knows exactly what he wants and he'll get it! I was so lucky to get a copy of CALE before the release date. I'm extremely thankful and I'll ALWAYS read anything Victoria Ashley gives me or releases ❤
Ah, where to begin. Slade, Hemy and now Cale. It doesn't get better than that. I never give away spoilers, so I will just begin my praise. Just when you think the series cannot get better, you are sadly mistaken. Falling for Cale is as simple as pie. The love, lust, romance, suspense and heartbreak is all there. Ms. Victoria Ashley pulled it off again with this book and I pray that she continues with this series. Maybe Stone will have his very own book? One can only hope. I absolutely look forward to reading more from this author.
I have been waiting for this book since Slade came out. I loved it. The book did not disappoint at all. Now the Walk of Shame series is short, romance erotic books. I have loved each one, they are uncomplicated and have a story with some conflict followed by a resolution and a HEA with a lot of erotic moments in between. I enjoyed Cale it was fun to read and I did it in one day, No complicated storyline just a story of a couple that was destine to be together since they were younger.
If you like uncomplicated stories with romance and sex this is the book for you.
A virgin stripper, yes people you heard that right!!!!:) I wasn't sure how Victoria could pull that off and it feel believable, she absolutely pulled it off. Once you meet Cale you will TOTALLY get it!!!! He is a total lover and soooo devoted to his girl! Cale was so hot, I loved his dirty mouth. The fact that he was so experienced yet still a virgin just made it all so much more hot! This series is molten hot!!!
***I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review!***
This was a very steamy, sexy friends to lovers story! Cale is a virgin male stripper. I know, I know...hard to believe, but true. He has been saving himself for the one woman who has always held his heart-his best friend Riley. Now that she is back in town, Cale is more determined than ever to let her know how he feels. It's time to claim his woman.
Cale is absolutely sexy, confident, strong, loyal, determined and 100% alpha male. Even though he hasn't had sex yet, he knows how to work his body and his tongue to make the ladies go crazy! He is sin personified. Cale is all about taking care of Riley and making sure that all of her needs are met. Who does not want a man like that? She is one lucky lady indeed.
Riley is just coming off of a bad breakup, and has returned home for the first time in 6 years. She takes a job as a masseuse, and who does her first client turn out to be? None other than the man who knows how to get her hot and bothered-Cale. These two finally reconnect, and the chemistry is off the charts. Both had held back from pursuing something in the past, too afraid that they would ruin their friendship, but that is no longer an option now.
These two had some amazing sexual chemistry, and this book was seriously HOT HOT HOT!!! They couldn't keep their hands off of each other, and let loose on one another in order to fulfill some of their darkest fantasies. The only problem is that when one of you works as a stripper, the little green eyed monster often comes out to play. Add in an unexpected guest, and all hell breaks loose.
I thought that this book was very steamy. I liked the characters, and I thought that the story line was interesting. The only problem I had (though I'm sure I would have reacted exactly the same) was when Riley gets mad at Cale for working as a stripper. Jealousy can kill a relationship, and it would be incredibly hard to look past women constantly trying to get with your man, but Riley's job doesn't really give her a lot of room to talk in my opinion. Yes, it's not the same type of work, but I think it could still cause problems for the two. It almost did.
This was a quick read. One that is sure to get you HOT. It was the final book in the series, and a good way to end it. I am happy that everybody got their happy ending. I recommend this book and this series if you like books that will make you sweat!
Cale was perfect! Who knew a virgin stripper could be hot in bed?
The book started with a peek into the teen past of the main characters and their final farewell, which would last several years. I could feel the pain of each, thinking they may lose their best friend. Miles apart, they stayed in touch for a few years, but the phone calls trickled down...and Cale felt forgotten. Through all of this, he was saving his virginity, hoping one day she'd return and he could give that to her.
"Her" being Riley, Cale's best friend going back ten years. The two have been secretly yearning for each other, even as teens, but held back, afraid of losing their friendship if they even tried the next level. In the meantime, she returned and was surprised to find Cale on her massage table at work. Then the real story began, and I certainly would't spoil that for you. Just know, the sex in this book was SUPER FIVE-FLAMES HOT. :)
One of my favorite parts of this book was when several of the guys from the Walk of Shame were together somewhere, eating and drinking, having a great time being friends, and talking guy stuff. That all made me smile. Those boys had become family to each other. (For you grammar-minded folks, I'm going to slide into present tense ON PURPOSE.) :P I'm hoping with all my heart that Victoria Ashley has at least one more story for us based on the new boys at the Walk of Shame. I wouldn't mind seeing the "evil bossman" take a few more hits...to his pocketbook and his FACE. Heh heh...
I can't wait to see what Victoria Ashley has next in store for us. I know of at least two things in the works. One is from the Pain series, and the other has something to do with a guitar and a VERY HOT man who, I assume, plays that guitar, maybe perhaps stark naked. Swoon!!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. As a new-ish blogger, this is my first blog tour, and I'm so pleased to be helping to support Victoria Ashley in her great success. Buy this book! Feel the heat!
Cale was a friends to lovers romance that will have you pining *hearts-in-eyes emoji*.
Cale Kinley. Sexy, confident, loyal, and 100% alpha. He's a 23-year-old male stripper whose been holding on to his virginity for 6 years; waiting for the girl he's loved since High School to return.
Riley. The said girl he waits on to return. She comes back home after 6 years of being away taking care of her sick grandmother. She just broke up with her boyfriend of 2 years, two weeks ago and is heartbroken. Luckily, she's able to find a job at a massage spa where she finally sees Cale again. That spark that's always been between them ignites like a flame.
When Cale and Riley realize that their friendship all those years ago was so much more, they finally give in to one another. It's explosive, passionate, intense, and so much more than they expected. But before the calm comes the storm. Cale and Riley have to overcome a lot of insecurities, and a few mild bumps in the road in order to be together.
Cale is a quick, easy read that will leave you hot and bothered. For the readers that like a good friends to lovers romance, this one is just for you! I had some issues with the plot but it didn't stop me form reading or enjoying this novel. Though after reading, I've realized that Hemy remains to be the only one that owns my heart!
*An ARC was kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.*
I'm extremely disappointed in this book. I loved the first two and Cale was my favorite in those so I was expecting this book to blow my mind. Unfortunately it fell short in every aspect. Cale ends up moving WAY too fast which kind of makes us readers lose interest in him, the heroine was so insignificant and at times annoying that I barely remember her name (I just finished the book and I can't remember her name, that's how bad it is!), there are errors in the book that prevent it from flowing well: from misspelled words, to wrong usage of words, to the characters contradicting themselves within the same paragraph as if the author forgot what she was writing. There is absolutely no angst, the story is so predictable that I found myself rolling my eyes at times after certain scenes and the ending? Oh man, that was a freaking joke! This was supposed to be the end of the series so I was expecting an epilogue or something that lets the reader know that is over but instead it just abruptly ends on chapter 18 and that's it? Finito! I could go on and on about everything that irked me but then this review would never end. My comments on goodreads as I read the book speak for themselves. I started the book on July 5th and it never captured my attention; it took me 17 days to finish it when usually I finish books this short within the day. I only finished because I hate DNFing. I'm sorry Victoria if this review seems mean, I am in no way, shape or form trying to belittle your work. I'm just giving my honest opinion.
I have been waiting for Walk of Shame's resident virgin, Cale, since Slade's book and let me tell you it was so worth the wait. The book starts out with Cale and Ryley as teenage best friends who both feel so much more for each other. Ryley moves away and Cale promises he will wait for her. Seven years has passed since they have seen each other and Cale made true to his promise. At first they kept in touch but as time went one the phone calls became less yet Cale still held on for Ryley. Now Ryley is back and Cale is ready to get his girl and get it on! The chemistry between Cale and Ryley just jumped off the pages. Their feelings felt genuine and not the initial lusty feelings you get with so many books these days, even the second chance stories. I felt like the characters complimented each other very well and loved how their friendship stayed at the forefront. Cale was just delicious! Totally fierce and protective, my favorite kind of alpha. The way he was with Ryley had me swooning like crazy. The sexy times were so hot they could have set my kindle on fire. Victoria does a fabulous job and putting the reader right in front of the stage at Walk of Shame and into the heads and hearts of her characters. This book was well written and kept me so intrigued from page one I finished in an hour and a half. I give this 5 stars. Reviewer for FMR Book Grind
