Transformed into a formidable warrior, Alice and her friends join a rabbit-like guide on a mission to stop the dead walking the earth. On their epic quest, they meet an amazing caterpillar, the King of Hearts, an infernal Duchess, and more demonic delights as they fight through the horrific nine circles of Wonderhell.

She now writes full time, working on a zombie series of nine books, short stories, horror, splatter punk, thrillers, vampire books, and westerns.
Dahman does it again! We all know I am a fan, so this is no surprise to me. I loved this tale of hellish adventure and recommend it to all. If you loved the original Alice in Wonderland, you're sure to enjoy this weird and twisty tale as well.
Alice in Wonderhell is a wonderful little mash-up of Lewis Carroll and Dante Alighieri and some nasty, rotten zombies on an excursion to find the Big Boss Down Under. I've read Catt Dahman before, and this one impressed me with its wit and original mixology.
Who can save the world from being overrun with zombies? Why our own little Alice the waitress! Though this book IS NOT about zombies…that would be the outcome if Alice doesn’t agree to go to Hell and save the human Ellie who was sent to Hell by mistake and who is taking up too much room. Hell is filled to over flowing and Ellie must be brought back or…all Hell will break loose on Earth! With a great cast of characters that can only be written in the mind of the phenomenal Catt Dahman, they come together to join forces with Alice and enter Hell on a magical trip that is full of more colorful characters that our little army meets along the way and who help them on their journey to save Ellie on this dangerous adventure! This is definitely NOT the Alice that entered the looking glass…no…this is much deeper and darker. I loved how Ms. Dahman described how the souls in Hell had to live out all eternity according to what crime they had committed while alive…Ahhh…sweet justice! With mortals…angels…demons and the ruler of Hell…The Big Guy himself…all after one thing…escaping the nightmare of down below can all of our friends that you will learn to love in this story make it out in one piece? You will have to read this story for yourself for that answer! I will say…I laughed and cried…cheered and jeered while reading. This is one of those stories that come along and takes you to another world…with descriptions that make you see each scene in your mind.I am a fan of Catt Dahman’s…having read quite a few of her books…and each one has left an imprint in my mind that when doing everyday things…something will jar my mind and remind me of one of her stories. That is the sign of a great author to me! I know whenever I hear “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane(yes…I love that song and have it on my IPod) I will think of you Catt Dahman and ALICE IN 9 CIRCLES OF WONDERHELL!
Very gory! I don't want to go to hell when I die! The author did an amazing job at describing Hell and its inhabitants. Wow do the sinners suffer there!
I chose this Wonderland related book because I am willing to accept an alternate reality. In this telling Alice's real world is so unrealistic, I simply could not follow the author into Wonderhell. I really wanted to; Shostakovich playing in the background, red Valentine heart lights setting the mood. I am ready for a night of HORROR!
That said, if I were not a jaded old woman, who has lived too many lives and experienced too many things, maybe I would like this.
Now I need to go find Stephen King, I am not going to let all this ambiance go to waste. 😉
Ok we'll I have rather a lot to say about this book.
I love the story and plot but felt that it could of gone a lot deeper. For me Alice in Wonderland is a dark story so I wanted Alice in wonderhell to be much darker. I think the author could if research more historical characters and place them in the story rather than just a page for example.
I felt that some parts of the story went too quickly and others too slow. Also I didn't fall in live with the characters although there is potential too. I'd like to know more about them, I also got a bit confused with who was who as some names were so alike. Dinah and Dana and Cory and Coral!
