Jon Nelsen has garnered national attention for helping people in real industries have a voice. After studying both Finance and Psychology at Liberty University, he turned his attention to writing. He crafts interview style books that give the reader an unvarnished behind-the-scenes view and practical subject knowledge.
When he is not writing in his favorite Parisian coffee shop, Nelsen spends most of his time reading, cooking, traveling the world, and catching his favorite shows at the theatre.
Just kidding, he lives in the backwoods of Pennsylvania and has an infant son… He spends his days watching cartoons and his evenings in a cramped writing office!
This book by Nelson nicely explains the concepts, theories and exercises to improve memory. This is a good compilation of some good practices one could follow to improve their brain function in general, not just memory. If you are looking for actual techniques on memory improvement then that is covered in the third and last part of the book. Overall a good read.
I really liked this book. I liked the layout. It is well-written. It is an easy read. And the memory techniques are 'doable'. I'm making use of the knowledge...The real test will be the day I don't forget where I placed my car keys. Hopefully soon. It was a refreshing experience.
I loved the positive and friendly attitude of this book on improving your memory. It is filled with interesting and actionable information about learning and retaining knowledge. Loved the quote found disbursed throughout the book. I would recommend.
An interesting and informative book on memory. From types of memory, foods and games to increase and support your short and long term memory, Mr. Nelsen delivers. My favorite part of the book is the memory palace.
