Distraught, heart broken and facing a heat on my own, I’m still reeling from the way my relationship with the Hamilton alphas ended.
I believed I’d found a pack of my own. Five men who’d stolen my heart, who treasured and loved me. Turns out, I was wrong. Now they’re back and begging for forgiveness. They claim it was all a terrible misunderstanding. They swear I am the omega for them. But my heart’s been broken one too many times.
It’s going to take more than flowers and chocolates to win me back – even if my battered heart still pines for them all.
***If you love the sauciness and steam of omegaverse with the sweetness of contemporary romance, heroes with hard shells and soft interiors, and heroines who fight for what they want, you’ll love Hannah Haze’s soft and steamy books - omegaverse set in our world.
I'm Hannah Haze, a why choose paranormal romance author known for my sweet omegaverse books and not so sweet magical academy series. If you enjoy a touch of humour, a lot of steam and plenty of swoony, romantic moments; strong fmcs who know what they want and mmcs who vary from the devoted to obsessive, then I am the woman for you!
My other loves include long romantic walks in the countryside, undisturbed soaks in a hot bath and even hotter stories. I have one husband, three children, a very naughty cat and a new fluffy pupster. When I’m not writing stories, I’m thinking about stories, listening to stories, reading stories or dreaming about them.
Disappointed. But I am in the minority with my opinions I think... review maybe a bit harsh.
I was really excited for this book as I LOVED the first. I was looking forward to how her guys were going to grovel and win her over. Unfortunately, this book had a lot to be desired in that department. The answer for the grovelling... there was barely any grovelling done. Kent went over there to try and win her back and 'fix' his mistake but he didn't do anything. Neither did the guys. Like legit said sorry and that was about it and she just rolled over (in my opinion) and everything was fine. She did put a sex boundary on until she could trust them but they all still had oral sex (well she did the guys didn't) I felt that because of that they didn't actually respect her and she should have had way more respect for herself.
I dunno, just really really disappointed with this book was expecting so much more but it's just another book where the guys do something horrible and just get away with it with barely any responsibility for their actions and zero effort to win her back. The whole acting thing at the end was a bit much. Literally just rolled my eyes and started skim reading by that point.
Don't think I'll continue the series as I feel this book was a let down but I do think I'm in the minority here but if you like a weak(ish) character that let's her men get away with sh*t with nearly nothing to atone their actions then this book is for you.

They didn't grovel enough. I still think Max isn't really necessary, and she doesn't really know him. It feels like she only really had chemistry with Cruise and Kent in this book. All she ever did was have sex with the characters, even when she was like "I'm not going to have sex with you until I fully forgive you," she was still doing just about every possible sexual act except sex. I wanted her to have a bit of a better backbone and to actually get to know the men beyond sex. I needed more banter and tension and a bit of a slower-burn after she starts to forgive them. Also, her mom was still annoying as fuck.
Well, that was a really good grovel. I'm glad Avery stuck to her guns and made them work for it.
On a side note: Why'd you have to give a us a cute dog on the verge of crossing the rainbow bridge. I was anxious the whole book waiting to cry when Barney kicked the bucket. I think he might have been my favorite character. (I had a 120lb fox red lab, that I rescued from animal control when I first moved out of my childhood home. Her name was Honey, because she was the color of reddish gold honey, and she had these sad eyes. She lived to 15, like Barney, which is crazy for such big dogs. So, this whole book Barney just reminded me of her. She and I had a special connection like Kent and Barney. 😭💖🐕🌈🌉)
wow. i was so excited for this one but it bombed majorly. the boys didnt grovel enough, each of them said sorry and then got her off and that was it. then they just force her to do somethkng she has said she didnt want to do again? they completely take control and manipulate everything. if this was real life i could not see this pack lasting because none of them know how to act in a relationship.
i could barely finish the end when she asked them all to bond with her bc it was so cheezy and shitting. it didnt even seem like shs thought abt it at all which is why they split in the first place.
this couldve been 1 semi okay book but instead its one 3 star and one 1.5 star.
i dont normally write reviews but i had to get these thoughts out bc i was icked out multiple times during this book
edit: dont even get me started on the moms wtf was that shit i could never keep her moms attitude straight i was so confused
I’m super disappointed. It was boring and I didn’t enjoy it sorry. This felt like a story that should’ve been one book. Molly’s story had one book and it worked. Sometimes trying to split one story into two just isn’t worth it if it hurts the overall story you’re trying to tell.
The pacing felt flat, the emotions didn’t land, and I just wanted to get the book over with. I finished feeling unsatisfied.
Verdict: I would skip this one read the first three books and stop.
Seeing people mention that this book has great groveling lets me know why people no longer know how to apologize properly and take accountability. Because that doesn't happen much in this book lmao. And if it does it's on top of what's basically harassment. Like Kent spending 8 hours at the diner Avery is working at just because she says she doesn't want to talk... dude... go home try again tmr. Maybe bring some flowers idk. But that's not groveling. Following around like a shadow and making someone come is not groveling either.
Dnf'd at 80%. I know I could have just skimmed through the rest like most of this book but I really, really didn't want to. It was so boring. This whole book. There was a couple good parts but that's it. And with 20% of the book left and she still didn't get back with them for real. Still didn't bond any of the rest of them and still didn't get her big movie break, there was too much to pack into a tiny bit of the book and I knew it would be rushed.
I was so excited to finish this one. I waited to read part 1 until closer to when this came out. It was torture waiting. I love Hannah’s writing. This did not disappoint. Avery holds her own and those boys grovel like they should. It’s not easy but they do earn forgiveness. I loved how they came together to make sure she was safe and could pursue her dreams. Another hit for me!
This duet had me in the first book, lost me in this one. It was just so "meh," really not what I was expecting, and there was even less spice in this one than in the first; so I just wasn't as into it as the first one. Had such great potential, then ya lost me. There was a lot of over explanation in certain parts, and then in others, when there needed to be more detail, the author seemed to press fast forward and gave loose reasonings for what happened. I think adding that Avery wanted to be an actress and making that happen for her in the end of the book felt forced and not authentic to the rest of the story. And she gets back into acting because of her connections, not because of talent. Calling it something else is just lying. There was so much potential for great group sex scenes, but with Avery "punishing" the guys for so much of this story, the reader only gets a truncated version of a heat in terms of smut. And lets be honest; most people read Omegaverse stories for the spice.
One of the things that I really do love in this story is that Jacks is honestly the kind of best friend that everyone needs to have in their lives. She's incredibly loyal and even cutthroat when she needs to be, defending those she loves. And she's down to get into trouble and maybe cause some mayhem, so she's an excellent balance. I love that she gets a happily ever after with Miranda as well. It wasn't a main part of the series, but it was going on in the background and they deserve their happiness too! Especially since Jacks works so hard to ensure that Avery gets her HEA.
This just wasn't the story that I was hoping it would be in the end, and it bummed me out.
This was entertaining. I do wish there was more physical evidence presented to the guys that made them realize how big they screwed up. Once Kent explained his error, they then decided to believe she was innocent in their previous judgments. I felt like that part was glossed over even though there was a good chunk of the book having them apologize in various ways. Her thoughts and reactions felt entirely natural and the most important part, it wasn’t rushed. She didn’t immediately forgive them. They worked for it. I loved how she still lived with parents and older sister. She had what everyone ever dreams of, supportive and loving family. They had no qualms at telling the alphas off when they first showed up. Her sister too, it was actually refreshing to see omegas written in a light where they showed their backbone. The stereotypes were questioned, about omegas and alphas in the story too. Again, it was refreshing to see the right questions being asked and how they could admit when they were wrong. Honestly, it was a great series ender. Wish there was a 3rd book for this pack.
So proud of Avery for holding her ground and fighting for what is best for her in the face of five hot men. So proud of the guys for acknowledging the wrong they did her and opening up to her about their pasts. They all get the chance to grow and learn from their actions and dedicate themselves to being better.
My absolute favorite part of book 2 is 'the mom brigade' coming to kick their sons in their butts. They needed it, and getting to see a bit of their familial relationships was a treat, especially with Kent. Avery's dad was also an unexpected delight. Things get wrapped up nicely without dragging on or complicating things unnecessarily.

Not much groveling going on. I mean the only one that got punished was Kent, and although he deserved it, the force eating was awful. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. The whole mama saga was entertaining, the conference planning was pitiful. It felt like a one and done apology apart from Kent, plus family trip bribe and maybe guilt on Avery's part because of the lying journalist. This one was pretty much Jacks paving the way for her friend, and the guys taking down a predator. It was pretty soft and forgiving.

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕: 🎰 omegaverse 🎰 vegas wedding 🎰 accidental marriage and bonding 🎰 enemies to lovers (for some)
𝑴𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔: The second part of this duet picks up right after we left off and explores the alphas redemption after what happened at the end of book 1, and it was so much fun watching them grovel!
Great Groveling! It was great to see how the they worked through everything. I love how the guys proved their worth in the end and showed her what she meant to the!

She stood her ground. Good on her. They needed their moms to kick them into action and actually apologizing though which was amusing but sad. Might need a break from omv for a little while.
Absolutely loved it! There's plenty of much needed groveling and apologizing. Avery is such a sweetheart, and the Alphas really work to gain her forgiveness in this book. I love all the characters, they're wonderfully written. 100% recommend this book.
☆ grovelling ☆ apologies galore ☆ heats ☆ mfc is standing her ground (temporarily lol, but who could resist!) ☆ brill writing as always ☆ sweetness and spice and all the goodness ☆ Kent grew on me, but Cruise is still my fav lol

The good: Avery’s family and best friend Jacks. She had an amazing support system, which was honestly a pleasant surprise.
The less good: the didn’t hit the mark for me. When I didn’t get that cathartic moment, my attention started to wander to questions like “I thought they were running a billionaire dollar business? Hope that’s still surviving.”
Overall rating for the duet: 3.75 stars. I haven’t always vibed with Hannah Haze’s books, but I liked this one more than expected and will be reading the others in this series.
I have to say, Pack Gamble: Part Two was not on par with the first book. Here it shows, what I meant in my first review, that Hannah Haze's books are often a toss up for me. The quality and reliability is patchy for me then and there. One book, I can love and have nothing to complain about or any issues with, and the next could be a whole different story. Meaning, I find issues, topics/situation I can argue about, leave something to desired or leave me with a sour taste.
So, I totally loved Pack Choice, and was hesitant to start Pack Gamble, since that was the usual pattern for me. But I loved the first part of Pack Gamble, but the second part was not on the same level for me.
So no 5 stars this time, because I had issues with the second part. Like the grovelling. I have expected more than what I got. I mean, they only said they were sorry, and no big actions were really made. They were just persistent, and Avery crumbled. She couldn't stay mad at them. I mean, it kinda fits her, since she is really sensible about emotions and empathetic. And a genuine, nice and honest person. So, she forgave them. Which isn't a bad trait, but after what she had experienced… I mean, it's not necessary, that she has to get some kind of revenge or anything. But I expected at least a bit more fortitude and let them work for her forgiveness.
The things they did was the bare minimum and was the least they had to do. Like, that no one is talking bad about her and them preventing this and defending her. Or them apologizing.
After she forgave them, she wanted to take it slow and put on a 'sex ban'. But really, she did not truly adhere to it, since she let the guys touch/satisfy her with some 'action'.
So, it really did come across as her being less forceful/assertive and ignoring her self-worth.
Another fact was the pace of the book itself. Book one was full of smutty moments and all. And the second one is prolonged with nothing really happening. Sure, they took care of her 'needs' in a way. But mostly she is unsure about going all in with them again, which is understandable, but again, she did not truly adhere to her own rules. And therefore it comes across like she is agreeing to try, but not really try, or leave them in limbo without getting any closer. Also, them reflecting about their situation and how sorry they are is not helping the progress of the conclusion either.
So, it felt unnecessarily prolonged.
Tho, I liked that they did help her with her acting. Even if they did mostly help through their money. It was not really a 'big deal' in my opinion. But it was still good that the director was fired and had to go to jail for what he did, and she could get back into acting.
I don't like how the ending was written. For one, the ending was left hanging. Sure, I know there is a bonus story, that picks it up and delivers a conclusion to it, but it shouldn't be that way. I get it, it's about getting readers to subscribe to the newsletter. But this feels like forcing me to subscribe, if I want a proper conclusion. And further, even the bonus story is not really giving me something special or more.
So, the bonus story was just the rest of the ending, that was intentionally left out. The author could have done better. Further, I hate it, if things are mentioned but not shown. Like the pregnancy. Instead of that bonus story, a skip forward to when the baby is already born and adding some more insight in the new life of them as a pack would have been a better choice.
But that's just my opinion, and of course every author has the right to write what they want and how.
Still, as I always said, it was a solid story and I did still like it. It was just not as strong as the first part, which is a pity.
Immediately started this one straight after finishing book one in the early hours of the morning because I need to know what was going to happen with Avery and her story. I was heartbroken at the end of book 1 and this continues into book 2 as Avery goes into heat so as well as dealing with the agony of her broken heart she must also contend with the painful cramps of her heats and no alpha's to help soothe them or care for her how she deserves. After being let down so many times, Avery becomes slightly jaded and refuses to allow the pack back into her heart until they've worked hard enough yo redeem themselves. How can she truly trust that they will take care of her, especially her heart which has been broken by so many false promises in the past?
Kent realises very quickly that he has messed up and possibly ruined any chance of his pack's future happiness. As a successful businessman used to getting what he wants he's not prepared for being knocked back again and again by the omega he desires, used to getting things handed over to him after stating his case but he's going to have to grovel a lot more. Cruise basically becomes comatose in his heartbreak, and the others don't far much better, all of a sudden work and their business is no longer their top priority but the omega that captured their hearts. In ways, the boys and Avery as so well-suited for each other all of them having faced the devastating heartbreak that comes with a broken heart. The pack have some serious groveling to do and whilst I feel like there definitely could have been more because I'm a vindictive person who wanted to see them squirm I just can't hate Avery for giving them a second chance.
The side characters were some of my favourite parts of this story, Jacks' is the best friend that I think we all want, supportive and encouraging but will enact vengeance on your behalf should their best friend receive even the smallest slight against them. Avery's dad is the dad we all want willing to beat up the men who break his daughters heart, loving and so sweet with Avery and then lets not forget the mom-brigade! Loved how they came in a gave their sons a telling off and whipped them back into shape but didn't do everything for them, even if they do have a one track mind for grandkids. But my favourite side character was definitely Barney!
Overall, compared to the first book this has decidedly less steam which is to be expected but for a sweet omegaverse this really hit the spot, keeping my enthralled so that I managed to finish this book in less than 24 hours. Who needs rest, and food and to keep hydrated when I need to find out if Avery and the pack are going to get their happily ever after???

“I am going to show you how sorry I am with my mouth, going to show you how much I missed you with my tongue.“
so, I read the part one a bit ago and I mean, I was counting down the days for part two by preparing myself by rereading part one once again. To be honest, part one wasn't as captivating as I had previously thought but sometimes, that depends on the other books I am reading at the present or prior to the one that has my attention. I didn't take that as so much as a warning-but I should have. Anyhow, part 2, just felt like a let down. I saw all that was to happen as if I had placed a crystal ball and had the name madam before me. It was just lacking. She goes home, licks her wounds, the one alpha comes to apologise and it doesn't work. His mates who are grown men need their mommies who watch them struggle to come up with a plan on how to reclaim their omega that they desperately love and desire even when they have a private plane, ability to leave work (being they are the bosses) and loads of money. I mean, they are tech billionaires but none of them had the mind until a few days pass to look up where their omega is she and their distraught/missing pack mate. I mean it wasn't even plausible, it was laughable. Truly the scene stealers are the omega's mother, father and the alpha's dog. All these side characters (Jacks included) were more so captivating than the omega and her pack. I almost, felt bad for the omega except she was just as annoying. I wished myself fishing with her father just to get out of finishing the book. What I could have speed read in little time, I found it took me two days to finish while I started rereading books like the beta, and pack darling to give me a pick up and little boost in hoping for a better ending. Maybe, the moving up of the release date wasn't such a good idea. Maybe, patience is truly a virtue because this was far from the author's best work. I think this book couldn't be saved, not even with the dad and his wanna be mike Tyson moves and his cheerleader and banshee wife.

I absolutely love Avery and her guys so much!!!! What a beautiful finish 🍯🍯🍯
This book is full of grovelling (as it should be). Part 2 picks up where Part 1 concludes. Avery, she is so strong. She slowly starts to knit herself back together after such heartache. The pack all but loses their ever loving minds especially Cruise.
Kent realises he's made a huge mistake and does everything in his power to win back Avery's trust. Avery doesn't make it easy for him in the slightest and I'm here for it because he should grovel, well they all should and believe me, they do. They put Avery through hell for absolutely no reason.
I really enjoyed the guys proving to Avery how truly sorry they are as a pack but also individually. The character growth from the guys and Avery was amazing. Especially Kent, his growth was beautiful and I really like him. I don't know who my favourite is, it changes constantly 🤩🤩🤩
After learning what truly happened to Avery and her acting dreams, it was lovely to read how the guys came together to seek justice for their omega, even though she was still on the fence about them as her future pack.
This story is the perfect ending to the duet and brings it altogether so well. There's so much more I could say but I don't want to give it away 😍😍😍
I kind of want Jacks and her girlfriend to find a pack as well. I think she would be extremely interesting to read about. 🩷
Thank you so so much to Hannah and her beautiful team for giving me the chance to read this story. It's a pleasure to be on her ARC team and I'm truly grateful 🙏 All opinions are honest and my own 🩷
I think I've mentioned this several times but Hannah's writing is otherworldly and I get sucked in each and every time.
