The fourth and final book in the now-completed Dark Codes reverse harem series!
I’ll risk everything to make sure my father’s killer ends up dead.
Because of my abilities, they’ve made me one of them. Five men and one woman - secret agents working against corruption. The locations of the six training bases have been revealed, and now it’s down to us to make sure the people there stay alive.
Special Agent Hollan, the man who killed my father, always seems to be one step ahead in this deadly game of chess. Will we reach the other bases in time to warn them of an imminent attack?
I have my five guys by my side as we travel, and stolen glances and secret kisses hold promises for our future...assuming we all live long enough.

The final book was a race to see who would get to the uncovered locations first : Darcy and her team - to help and warn them, or Hollan - to destroy them all. Not to mention the fact that they all would need to decide what to do next, now that their secret organization was no longer a secret.
“I wish I could say we’ll all live happily ever after, but chances are that’s not going to happen.”
I enjoyed this fast paced, action packed ride that the series provided and the final book did not disappoint in that department. It was again full of excitement and battles and even some twists here and there. And I did call it a race for a reason, because everything happened so rapidly that it hasn't fully sinked in yet that the story is over. But while I loved about 95% of the book, I wasn't really satisfied with the way things wrapped up for the characters. The way their story ended sort of disappointed me even, because I just don't see them in the setting they were left in. It just did not feel right to me.
This is book four in the series and what an up and down ride it has been! Darcy will do anything to get the man who killed her father! With the use of her special abilities and five men, they ban together to help stop the murderer. There is suspense, action and thrills as they try to locate the killer and save lives. Some sneaky romance among Darcy and her men along the way, helps keep the book going strong! Read this book to finish out a great series!!
I read this series as the kindle version of the box set, so I read continuously through the four books. Normally this is something I like to do, but with this series I would recommend having a short break half way through. I suggest this, just to let some anticipation and interest build back up before diving back in.
My 4 star rating is for the series as a whole. The first book is definitely one of the better books in the series - for me anyway. There were times when I cringed a bit at the beginning with things Darcy did/felt towards her kidnappers, but it all changes as you learn more about them and her synesthesia is really interesting, not something I've heard of before.
I think my favourite of the series is when Darcy is a bit self-sacrificial and we truely get to see how strong willed, determined and resourceful this girl is. This is probably the main reason I would consider reading this series again, purely for this instalment which I loved.
As the books all span over a short time frame, I did find them dragged out in some places and rushed in others. The times where the team interacts with Hollan at various stages felt repetitive (until the last one of course), there were a few twists and turns I didn't see coming, but the ending of the Hollan saga I felt to be quite predictable and the events shortly after this which closed the series, while surprising, felt rushed.
All in all a 4 star series, and I would recommend to RH lovers.
After reading the first three books I was hesitant to read the last one! I really loved the first book but unfortunately, it’s only been going downhill since then and to be completely honest, I kind of had to force myself to read the last one. Unfortunately, I think that’s because of young Darcy who I adored in the first book, but now she seems a bit too immature and stubborn for my liking. There’s nothing wrong with a headstrong MC, however, a downright dumb and emotional one is another story!
To me Darcy hit and all time low in this book where her childish entitlement, emotions and lack of responsibility really shows. Her dad died when she was 14, and we know her mum left them both. However, someone should have taught her the basics about life, like how it’s not always fair, sometimes bad shit happens to good people, but most importantly: every action creates a reaction! Darcy has been going through these books with such righteous fury, and yet it never daunts on her that even though, NONE of them has been dealt a winning hand in life we don’t see the others lashing out or crying about how unfair it all is – and let’s not forget who dragged who into what. Such lack of responsibility doesn’t add up to a strong female lead.
With all that being said I do think that the majority of the book is an okay finish to the serious, and I did enjoy the unsuspected twist at the end.
Special Agent Hollan is one step ahead of the team. He has destroyed one base already and is en route to the next leaving a trail of dead or missing bodies in his wake. Darcy and the guys have to stop playing catch-up and stop him once and for all.
I made it, I finished this series. Thank goodness this is the final book. SO REPETITIVE. And I am not sure I have ever been more annoyed by a main character than I was by Darcy. I may have rooted for Hollan more than once. Darcy was internally cringeworthy. She missed the big picture and would fixate on the inane as a rule. She was whiny to the extreme, inappropriately lusty at times, and never an asset. That was the unforgivable fault of this series. It started with a great premise. I had hoped the guys would be well-trained bada**es and that Darcy would be an asset with her brain. NOPE. Barely used. The guys were disappointing and Darcy was worse. There was no research put into this book on ghost agencies or special ops training, and it showed. Their relationships never developed, so when the end arrived, I had no reason to care if they stayed together or went their separate ways. Again, at least it's over.

REVIEW This is the fourth book in this series and oh my god it gutted me. I can honestly say this book kept me on pins and needles the entire read. Darcy and her guys are off to battle Hollan and save the other bases or can they? This book gives us action, suspense and oh yeah we get the hotness too. I have to say I think this has become my favorite out of this series. Grab your copy and get reading...
This is the fourth and final book in the series. You definitely need to read the books in order to really enjoy the story.
Darcy is determined to kill the corrupt FBI agent who murdered her father and stop his plans. There is a lot of action as she and the team work to save the other teams from discovery. There are some definite surprises in this ending to the series. I did not see them coming.
I would have liked to see more of a focus in this final book on the relationship among the six of them. The series has a slow build and I was really hoping the end would give us more of a personal focus on the men that she has grown to love. The addition of an epilogue showing them in the future would have really helped.
Darcy will risk it all to get the man who killed her father and it just may cost her everything. The location of the bases is out there in the hands of the bastard who stole her dad from her and it's all her fault. With the help of her guys, her five sexy guys, Darcy sets out to right a wrong before it's too late. Will they make it in time to save the boys at the other bases? What happens to the team now that the Ghosts are no longer a secret organization?
Lots of action, some stolen moments, betrayal and loss make this a fast paced, can't put it down kind of read. I highly recommend this book!!!
The storyline was great and very different but there was so much repetition with the FMCs thoughts. I often found myself skipping pages because it was the same over and over again. Spice level 🌶️🌶️ one of the guys she didn’t even have sex till the last 10 pages of the book for the whole series. This was my first series that Marissa Farrar wrote by herself. The other books, I read by her were cowritten with another author. Maybe that’s the issue or maybe because it was only from the FMCs point of view. I also found the FMC to be kind of whiny and stubborn without reason
Wow! Fitting finale to a fantastic series. As you would expect from a Marissa Farrar book there's plenty of action in this race against time to save the young boys and men (and a woman) at the other bases; not forgetting twists to keep you on the edge of your seat & those pages turning - I actually found myself holding my breath on more than one occasion! As the action unfolds you think you know what's going to happen but find that you never know who you can trust. Powerful, sexy ending for Darcy and her guys, great read!
I was on the edge of my seat through this whole book. It was such a roller coaster of emotions. Darcy got her end game but at a price she did not need to pay.... but than she got her ending and maybe it was all worth it? God I loved this series and I'm so sad it's over. Finally got to see isaac and Darcy have there time to shine and it was everything I wanted. I'm hungover from this series and now I'm sad where do I go from here. All I can do is a slow clap and hope this author takes me on another journey soon♡♡
This is s stunning climax to an amazingly awesome series. Darcy and her boys are in a race against time to stop Hollen from infiltrating the other bases. But in life nothing is ever easy or straight forward, with twists and turns you just don’t see coming this series ends with a hell of a bang, will they all survive it? And will they all still be together?
I absolutely loved this series and this the final book is incredibly exciting and a fantastic read
I liked how this was broken down but were overall fast reads in the series. I liked how each character had their own thing with Darcy and within the group. There were a few twists that is kind of anticipated but not in a bad way. It might just be because i read a lot so i am always digging for the clues. Darcy is strong and i love it. Shes not a push over and has fierce loyalty to the people she loves.
The final book with Darcy and the guys. The story definitely has a lot of action and suspense throughout this one. We get all the answers to the questions that have been on our minds since the beginning. There are some painfully sad moments but yet there are some good moments that really make up for those sad moments. The story is well written and developed. Definitely a fantastic read that won’t disappoint.
This series lost my interest the further it went on. It felt very slow at some points and I just wanted to finish it.
This series is more plot than romance or smut. To me, there was very little moments of bonding between the FMC and MMCs. The whole relationship feels built off of Stockholm Syndrome and nothing more.
Glad to have read it once but wouldn’t read it again.
Loved the way the story and characters developed. Lots of action, suspense and surprise. You get to see the loving caring side also the ruthless side to the characters. The author did an amazing job with this story line and ending. They really kept you on your toes, couldn't put the book down til I read the whole series.
Now we are in the thick of things with Hollan. We see that the guys really do care about her. I was wavering since we don't really know how they feel. There is a lack of intentions and emotional connection with the characters. This conclusion really ties up everything nicely.
OMG!! I LOVED this series!! Another exciting book in the series. What a finale! Finally some closure for Darcy...but more heartbreak and sadness along the way, as well as relief and happiness. And the relationship between Darcy and the guys finally got a chance to blossom. This is definitely a "must read" for any RH lover!
HEA. I wasn't enrolled in how the story went. I don't understand the reason behind setting up a trap and backing out but I guess it concluded just kind of felt like the story ended but could have had a better conclusion. Also if everyone knew about a rogue agency that the members would just be allowed to wander into a normal life without more consequence and questioning.

I really liked this series as a whole. Multiple books are not my favorite, but this was really well done and all the new books really contributed to the overlining story that was kept the same throughout the book! The build-up towards the spice was good, with a climax in every word at the end ;)
This was a great end to a great series of books. It was lovely to see the character grow as the story came to a close. Well written, good storyline. I voluntarily read an ARC copy of this book for my honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this book. While riddled with a few surprising and unexpected occurrences, I felt this book concludes the series well. I'd recommend this book & series for readers that are fans of RH and dark adventure series.
This series has been a wild ride! Thank you Ms. Farrar, for the exciting afternoons you've given me reading about Darcy and her amazing men! Looking forward to a long relationship with your books in the future!
A great finale. Slightly annoying the inconsistency of Darcy attempting to call Sarah repeatedly after Sarah had told her in the last book that Hollan had taken her phone, but otherwise really enjoyable.
This last book was the perfect end to the other 3 books! Tied up with a hot juicy bow! I enjoyed all of these books and this one was one page turner after another! What a great end to a great series!
Best series I have read in a long time. I enjoyed all the action in the book. Both kind of action lol. This series had just the right amount of action and the right amount of loving. Such a good read.
I was so pleasantly surprised with this series! Each character was so different from anything I have ever read. The action was great. It was written so well. I might have a new favorite author. Thank you for writing this series!!
Great ending to this series!! Definitely nailbiting at times, and gosh, my heart broke a little towards the end, but I loved this. Definitely a great series to read and will be checking out other books by Farrar!

The book was a conclusion to the previous 3. It was a strong book and ended perfectly. Darcy still Bugged me a bit with her thought processes. But, it really was mostly in the beginning.
