DARKHAN is Book 4 of the multi-authored Monsters of New York series. It's a short and steamy OTT, age gap, fated mates, curvy plus-size virgin gets her dragon shifter paranormal romance. Zeno Darkhan is a hunky 400 year old dragon shifter. Harmony is a 24 year old curvy human who has been raised by controlling parents who don't really care about her. The last straw is when they decide to give her to an evil honey badger shifter against her will to settle their debts. She runs literally into Zeno in New York. He knows instantly that Harmony is in danger and that she is his fated mate. He takes her to his penthouse. She thinks she is being kidnapped but also feels that she can trust him. She also has nowhere else to go. OMG, I am totally in love with Zeno. The way he loved and cared for Harmony was everything. That poor girl so deserved his pure love. They had insane chemistry, their banter was funny at times, and the ending was so happy after the danger and drama. I hated her parents so much and would have loved some Zeno flambe for them. This was my first book by this author but not the last. I loved it!.

DARKHAN is the fourth instalment in Rose Wulf’s contemporary, adult MONSTERS OF NEW YORK erotic, paranormal, novella series. This is four hundred year old, dragon shifter Zeno Darkhan, and twenty-four year old, Harmony Lace’s story line. DARKHAN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Zeno and Harmony) DARKHAN focuses on the rescue and claiming of Harmony Lace. Harmony Lace is a human, whose parents have sold their only daughter to the local shifter gang headed by honey badger shifter Patrick Eades but Harmony wants nothing to do with Patrick, and takes off into the night only to find herself in the arms of our story line hero. Zeno Darkhan is a dragon shifter who has been searching for his mate for hundreds of years but never expected to find his future in the guise of human female Harmony Lace, a young woman on the run. Zeno knows immediately that Harmony Is his mate but Harmony’s parents and the local shifter gang are refusing to let go without a fight.
The world building reveals some of the sheltered existence of our story line heroine, and the actions of the Shifter Relations Agency including their ability to take down even the largest of dragons. As Harmony comes to terms with a dragon in her life, our heroine grows a backbone, and is determined to stand up for herself, and the man with whom she is falling in love.
The relationship between Zeno and Harmony is one of fated mates; a rescue of our story line heroine from the people who sold her life for payment, and the shifters who were determined to take control. Zeno is determined to prove Harmony is worthy of love but her shattered self esteem is in need of healing. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

Dragons have a tendency to spread out and not being in large cities because it will be harder to hide, especially for dragons that want to fly and have trouble with their tempers, they breathe fire. Zeno Darkhan is a dragon shifter, but he is in NYC and he meets Harmony while she is running barefoot from the fate her parents forced her into. Poor Harmony has gotten the attention of a gang of shifters in her neighborhood and her parents have been forced to pay ‘for protection’, and one of the shifters has decided that Harmony is how he wants to be paid. This will change her parents’ life and hers. Her parents’ for the better, and hers’ for the worst. I felt really upset seeing her own parents do this to her and it was all planned out and why she was brought up the way she was. I got really upset and cursed up a storm, chewed on my nails and freaked out. The book has a few fun and funny parts in it. I very much enjoyed dragon justice. I so needed my AC on for the entire book- for the freaking out parts as well as the yummy steamy, and romantic scenes.
Zeno is protective, possessive and soooo Alpha and extremely hot, poor Harmony had no chance of getting away from him, her fated mate. That took some explaining. Monsters in New York Saga continues so get comfortable you put it down until the last page has been turned. Zeno is a dragon shifter who is drawn to New York but can’t figure out why he is so drawn to New York, he has lived for so long searching for his mate and never finding her until she runs right into him. Harmony is sweet but dreams of freedom away from her parents who keeps trying to set her up just when she thinks she is free they tell her she has been gifted to a shifter that she can’t stand and of course she does the logical thing run but no friends, no where to go she runs right into Zeno who know she is his mate. He isn’t going to let anything or anyone near the one he has searched centuries for but will she trust him enough to keep her safe, the more she is around him the stronger she grows learning to stand up for herself and the man she loves refusing to walk away but her parents will they back down, will the man she was promised just let it go considering she found her fated mate or will he cause trouble, and will they find their happiness high up in the sky?

With no where to go or any friends to seek help from she ends up running into Zeno who immediately knows just who she is to him.
A nicely written narrative with two likable leads, that included spice, drama, romance, fated mates, and intrigue, the story was entertaining and I enjoyed reading this sweet, captivating adventure of the heart. HEA.

This was an engaging and steamy romance for Zeno, a dragon shifter male, and Harmony, a human gal. He's desperate for a mate and can't figure why he keeps coming back to NY. Harmony has been super sheltered her whole life and has just been traumatized by her parents gifting her to the neighbourhood shifter bully - a fellow that has harassed her since she hit puberty :( When she can, she runs and bumps into Zeno, and then the fun begins ;) He must prove to her that he's not like other shifters and she has so much to learn about, well, everything ;) These two were fire together but the drama keeps on coming at these them, making their journey to an HEA hard won. Expect to get caught up in the drama, intrigue, action, suspense and sweet and spicy romance. Good fun!

Darkhan is one of the sweetest paranormal love stories I have read. Zenoa and Harmony had me turning the pages for what I hoped to be their happily ever after. With all the family drama and that remarkable idiot who thought he stood a chance with her, this was the best story and outcome. The book was its own page-turner style, with the drama and paranormal action. Even in the end, Harmony has a mischievous vibe that lets you know she does not want trouble but wants her man to work for it! LOVED IT! Darkhan has wonderfully engaging characters, a lot of steamy romantic drama, lots of paranormal action, steamy romance, and an ending that promises more in the future! I could not put it down!.

I have to say that this world is coming to thei spoint but not yet.
I love that Harmony was determined to live her life on her terms in the midst of greedy and restrictive parents that were willing to use their daughter to get what they wanted. Harmony ran ..right into Zeno.
Zeno has lived for over a hundred years and come to accept that his fated mate would not ever be in his world...well not really cause she ran ito him and he hears from his dragon - MINE!!!!!
That was it for the them but the beginning for end of her parents and that downtrodden neighborhood. He would need to prove to her he wasn’t like the shifters from her neighborhood and that meant more than merely roasting the ones who’d harmed her over an open flame…

MONSTERS IN THE DARK
This short but definitely full of depth novel from Rose Wulf is a definite must, I devoured Darkhan in one sitting and I want more! With a female character who has been sheltered or smothered her entire life finding her backbone and her strength in the form of a monster from New York and that monster finding his heart and soul, this book was exactly what I needed. Actioned packed and full of steam, these characters grow in themselves and as a couple and I loved the test of trust from our FMC. The writing was fantastic as always, as Rose Wulf never disappoints, she know how to engage the reader and give us a monster we'd all love to find in the dark.

Zeno is just so swoon worthy! I love what he calls Harmony, cue more swooning. Zeno is such an alpha, but is just is so sweet to Harmony. All he wants to do is show he cares by giving her gifts, but Harmony doesn’t know how to deal with that very well. I love the humor that is embedded throughout this novel. I laughed from the very beginning all the way to the last page. Harmony hasn’t had the easiest life, so when she runs into Zeno it’s difficult to trust him and his apparent desire to help her. One of my favorite scenes is the new decor placed on the penthouse windows. Want to know more; dive into Darkhan and enjoy the ride!

I loved this book! I loved the idea of Harmony being the sheltered not-so-little girl who her parents are planning everything out for and her knight in shining armor flys in (literally!) and shows her what life she is missing. Zeno is one of the only dragon shifters left and he has a human for a mate who has no idea about anything. Their dynamic was beautiful. I wish this book was longer and it wasn't as rushed as I felt like it was. If there was a book 2 about them and growing together I would for sure read it!.

Convincing his mate, he wasn’t like other shifters was a challenge but with patience and his love he would get there but in the meantime he had to deal with an unfortunate incident to make sure she was safe.
Entertaining, steamy, this is a wonderful Dragon Shifter read.

Harmony had lived in extremely sheltered life. She was determined to escape her parents control and get a job so she can make it on her own. What she hadn't expected or planned for was for her parents to try and give her away to a member of the neighborhood shifter gang. When she fled their home is when she ended up meeting Zeno a dragon shifter. He claimed to want to protect her but she couldn't figure out why. He was a stranger. Imagine her surprise when he told her that she was his mate.

Harmony Lace has very controlling parents and all she wants is freedom. Her parents gift her to a neighbor Patrick who is a bully and a badger shifter. She runs away right into her fated mates life. Zeno Drakhan is a dragon shifter who keeps be drawn to New York. This is the fourth book in the Monsters of New York and does not disappoint. Zeno is protective, Harmony finds her confidence, nonstop action, love, romance and very spicy.

This is a good romance with shifters and humans. Harmony is a human who becomes the mate of a dragon shifter. There are a lot of dangerous pitfalls before they get their HEA. The author gives us a well written shifter love story with a hint of danger. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

This is a wonderful dragon shifter romance that contains some dark elements but is filled with a sassy female lead and an overprotective male lead. There is just enough angst to add another layer of depth. Great read!.

Man what can I say first!! Such a good read. I loved how this whole story just jumped into the action. I was hooked from the very beginning. The action was non-stopped and the surprises that happened were so much fun to read. As well the romance was both sweet and spicy. I enjoyed every moment of this read and I hope you do as well.

Yanno when you have an itch that only a spicy monster romance can scratch? Darkhan checked that box perfectly! This was 130ish pages of chaos in the best way. We saw a gang of shifters get knocked down a peg or twelve, bathtub barbecue anyone? Our girl Harmony got all the love she deserved and then some. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

A delightful story with enough darkness and gloom and enough romance and steam. The characters keep you glued to the book and pull you into their story. A great dragon shifter novel that is worth checking out.

Zeno is perfect as Harmony’s fated mate. She has such a low opinion of herself, thanks to her horrible parents, and Zeno worships at the altar of Harmony.
Even with a honey badger gang leader and Harmony’s terrible parents doing everything they can to make her life miserable, the love story of Zeno and Harmony maintains its sexy, cozy feel. ‘Darkhan’ has its intense moments, but I’d still recommend it as a perfect palate cleanser — just what I needed after two back to back intense books.
