Lam never expected to reunite with her first and second disciples in her current life—let alone discover that they were the ones who orchestrated her reincarnation. Finally, she has a chance to learn the truth about how her life as Aurora ended...except the two refuse to tell her. How infuriating! Right now, though, she has bigger problems. Épée, her first disciple, has kidnapped her, and she needs to find a way to free herself. Thankfully, Char and the other Mercures are here to save the day. But will they be strong enough to defeat Épée? And speaking of Épée—did he just call her Aurora in front of Char?! Is her husband about to discover her greatest secret?
I don’t know if the author intends to continue this series, but it would be interesting to see what happens with Aurora’s teacher and her other son.
Countess Lam Mercure meets all of her disciples, regains all of her memories and powers, and gets some alone time with her husband. I would say that’s a job well done. If this is the end, I enjoyed the series.
