A Simple Explanation of the Gnostic Gospel of Tripartite Tractate
In this revelatory exploration of Gnostic wisdom and the Tripartite Tractate, you are invited to remember the truth of your existence and reclaim the knowledge that was always yours.
What is gnosis? Gnosis simply means knowing. And in the Gnostic frame of reference, gnosis refers to remembering the truth of our existence and our cosmic origin. Gnostic literature says we come into life holding all of this knowledge within ourselves, and that we have complete access to the Father, the Son, and the Fullness of God any time we choose to turn our focus upward. It is this direct connection to the Father that brings us into alignment with our gnosis.
This book is organized in the order that creation itself emerged from the Father. I like to begin at the beginning before the cosmos unfolded and rolled out. We start at the very beginning and then go through the entire process of how everything came to be and who the principal players are. Once that is established, we will move on to see how that applies to our lives. Then we can ask, “Why are we here? Is there a purpose to our lives? How should we live?” After that, we can finally consider the final roll-up of the universe and “what happens after we die?”
All of these questions are answered very precisely in the Tripartite Tractate of the Nag Hammadi. This type of knowledge is called gnosis.Valentinian Gnosticism is a form of proto-Christianity, and I maintain that it is the true, original form of Christianity. It is my understanding that this wisdom would have been what Jesus was actually talking about, and that’s why the New Testament is consistent with what I have been teaching. When Jesus said, “I and my Father are One,” he was talking about the Gnostic God Above All Gods.

A Simple Explanation of the Gnostic Gospel is a clear and eye-opening guide to understanding Gnostic wisdom and the Tripartite Tractate. I really appreciated how the author took something that could easily feel complicated and made it deeply approachable, laying it out from the very beginning of creation through to the ultimate purpose of our lives. Reading this gave me a fresh sense of peace and a deeper connection to spiritual truths that somehow already felt familiar, and I enjoyed the way it encouraged me to reflect on my own place in the bigger cosmic story.

A great addition to the perennial philosophy, with interesting inclusions of Tibetan Buddhism and Jung. The author does well to explain this cosmology, frequently going over progress made. Practically speaking, the suggested practice seems to be one of belief in salvation from the Christ, leading to greater peace of mind, and a commitment to the simple golden rule: working with other beings for the good of the whole in order to glorify God.

✨ If your soul’s been feeling a little homesick, this book is basically its GPS back to where it belongs! I picked up A Simple Explanation of the Gnostic Gospel thinking it might be heavy, but wow—it’s like talking to a super wise friend who’s just explaining what’s always been sitting quietly inside you. 🤯💬 It’s deep, it’s cozy, and it totally blew my mind (in the best way). If you’ve ever wondered if you’re meant for more (spoiler: you ARE), you seriously need to read this. 🕊️📖
