Sniper & Piper were quite the pair. Sargent of Arms for the Breakneck MCs and her a woman that was taken and sold in to the sex trade, rescued by the bikers. Best friends. Friends that fell into each other’s arms one night when Piper was under the influence and unable to deny her attraction to Sniper. The one thing they both want is to not allow that one night to come between their friendship, even if neither of them can forget about it.
The club has had its fair share of trouble and though things might die down for a while, but when they have a new threat surface it’s not just the club that is suffering. Piper’s worst nightmare is coming true and in one moment Sniper realizes that friendship isn’t the only thing he feels for Piper. He saved her once. But will being broken a second time be too much for Piper?
I was hoping that this book was going to wow me. I felt a little let down with Shadowing Me and was a little worried that the spark that I felt while reading this series had burnt out. Sniper & Piper brought that spark back completely. This one quickly became my favorite of the series. There was something about Sniper that caught me off guard. I admit that he never really stood out for me before this story, he was just there. But hell, after a few pages of getting inside his head – I was a goner.
His relationship with Piper and the story unfolding with the club were like night & day. I think he came across as the most human of the group so far. He seemed so unlike a typical biker, although the club was in his blood.
Crystal Spears delivered big time with this installment. It made me think back on the prior books and I think I figured out what it was about the prior book that was off for me.... Just too much going on. The focus was on not only the story of the bikers, but on Shadow and expanding his story into the spinoff... but with Discovering Me, it all came back down to just these two.
I fell back in love with this series through Sniper & Piper’s story. She was a strong character that had been broken, not once but over and over again but still remained standing. I loved the moments between these two both in present tense and in the flashbacks. This story ended up being unexpected and absolutely enjoyed.

Friends to lovers... Sniper and Piper were one of my favorite couples in this series.
Hero, Sniper, real name Perseus was the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Breakneck MC and he was the best shooter in the club. He was all alpha, loyal, funny and best friend to free-spirited heroine, Piper. In a previous book, "Shadowing Me" they had a memorable, passionate one-night stand due mainly to Piper being under the influence of the psychoactive drug, Ecstasy with Tatiana, ZZ's 19 year old daughter. That one-night stand could have destroyed their friendship but they decided that they would forget it and put it behind them in order to keep their friendship. But that was difficult to do because after another lockup in the topsy-turvy world of Breakneck with major misunderstandings, miscommunications and past pains resurfacing, they then 'discovered' that they were more than friends! They were meant to be both--- friends and lovers!
I loved how everything was resolved and made "right as rain" for Sniper and Piper!
Sadly this was the last published book of Crystal Spears to the Breakneck MC series but dang Pyro's story was left unsettled. I'm wondering if Pyro will eve get his Happily Ever After with say... Jinx Kaye but who knows... Just left me wondering... and waiting...

Hell Yes, just loved Piper and Sniper' s story, think this is my favourite in series so far....
What a brilliant, strong, totally likeable character Piper is, I loved her.
Sniper...God dam, that man is HOT !!! Sexy, yet he also seemed to have a vulnerability about him, which is the perfect combination.
I love this Author's style of writing and how she doesn't only concentrate on 2 main characters but keeps other characters stories going
Am looking forward to more of Shadow and Tea' s story and am hoping Pyro and Jinx get together, God I'm sure this series can go on and on, the characters are that good

Discovering Me is the fourth installment in the Breakneck series.
We now have Sniper and Piper 🥰.
I was looking forward to their story as they were friends at first. However I felt that this was almost like Seize Me with the plot but less fighting with each other 😅. There were also some scenes that were over the top, especially with the two finger thingy 😐.
I also felt that the ending was rushed especially with the BIG REVEAL, it was not even explained. It was like it ended abruptly with more unanswered questions.
Still this was way better than Shadowing Me😏.
Hopefully some of the questions running in my head will be answered on Pyro and Jinx’s story, Reconstruct Me. 😊

There's a thin line between gritty and trashy.
And sometimes the characters in this series are riding that line.
I'll be into the story, then the characters will act trashy and I'm not liking them, then I'll get back into it and they'll do something else trashy.
And I was somewhat bored with the romance. They were cute together as friends, but I wasn't wowed by them actually being in love.

Gewoon een goeie serie, alhoewel ik er toch weer even in moest komen, ondanks ik het vorige deel nog niet zo lang geleden gelezen heb. Wel weer een beetje van hetzelfde. Deze keer werd Piper gekidnapt en ging Sniper haar redden en wreken.

I don't know about anyone else but the getting taken and raped and then rescued plot is getting kinda old. Ugh! How many times in a series do i have to read about the same plot?

From friends to lovers. The strong friendship between Sniper (SAA for Breakneck MC and brother of Braxxon, Breakneck MC President) and Piper (BFF of Winter and Storm). As we learned in a previous book, Sniper and Piper are the closest of close best friends who love each other. This book focuses on how they went from friends who love to friends who fell in love. Peppered in was a new MC threat and it made for solid reading.
I thought the friendship between Sniper and Piper was great. They seemed to enjoy the same things and had an easy way about them. To fall in love with a best friend that you can share any and every thing with...is a beautiful thing. This is what Sniper and Piper shared. I liked the dialogue between the couple and felt the love radiating from them. They seemed to be a good fit.
There was also another Breakneck chapter where we were treated to storytelling from several other characters. As I mentioned in another book...I love when Crystal Spears does this!! We were also introduced to a few more characters, who I'm sure will appear in future books.
Keeping with the MC style, there was more of the same MC drama that happened in the story. Although not surprising or unexpected, I thought the writing was good.
Why Not 5 Stars?
Repetitive - The constant referring to them being best friends started to get on my nerves. Each time Sniper or Piper told their point of view, I was constantly reminded that they were best friends. We already knew this from the beginning and it did not need to be repeated during each of their pov's.
Lack of development in the MC drama department - I thought the new threat was created quickly and resolved even quicker. A meeting takes place and boom...it's war with the new enemy. Just like that. There was zero backstory and it just felt manufactured for the sake of having some action/beef. On a related note: I was also disappointed that the drama was repeated. This is becoming the new standard for most MC books and it's no longer exciting or creative to read....it becomes expected...and not in a good way.
Unfinished business - A blast from the past comes back into the story and there was very little information provided as to why and what happened. This was glossed over and not in a plausible way. Also, a new female character appeared in the beginning and then we did not get updates on her at the end. I wanted to know how she was doing and what her future looked like post threat.

This one was heartbreaking! I loved Piper and Sniper's friendship and wondered how they couldn't see that they were perfect for each other. It was only once Piper was dragged into a nightmare that she already lived through that each realized what they had been building towards for the last year.
I loved that Piper was able to stay strong, that she was able to comfort someone else, that she made the decision to live and do something about it! I also loved that Sniper fought just as hard to find Piper. I was stunned to learn who had been helping the club, that person will bring about some interesting developments in the future.
Like all the other books in this series there was violence, but the violence at the end was so deserved and I loved reading about it. I even loved that it was recorded so that Piper could know that she was avenged, an act of love, an odd one, but one none the less.

Oh yes, Sniper and Piper, the joksters, the pranksters, the ones who names rhyme.
Again I warn anyone who has triggers to be aware there are some traumatic events that take place in this book.
These two have been so into each other, it was kind of hard to believe they didn't see it when everyone else did. This book was fun, funny and heartbreaking which is kind of the theme in this series if I'm being honest (not judging because I love it).
There is so much that happens I don't even know where to begin, but I will say the moment that stuck to me the most was when Sniper finally realized what was in his heart all along and fights desperately to get it back safe and sound.

When suddenly Piper is taken from Sniper he qucikly realizes how much she means to him and will stop at nothing to get her back and make her his. Piper is back in a place she thought she put behind her but she knows if anyone can save her it is Sniper but she also knows she is stronger then before and to get back to Sniper she just might have to save herself.
This book is more like the first two in the series. It is action backed full of old characters with really strong female characters. IT is a really quick fast paced read.

This Series is Amazing!!
This series is Amazing!! It has it all. Violence, Drama, Hot Sex that you have to change your panties!
Snipper and Piper, oh where to begin. Those two are the best of friends until one night of Hot Amazing sex makes them both start questing if there is more there than just Best friends.
Pipers past makes her believe she is soiled. Sniper helps her through it all.
I don't want to give to much away but this is a must read!!

I loved Sniper and Piper.
Have really enjoyed this hard hitting biker series but there was just something about Sniper and Piper that grabbed me, loved their best friends to lovers vibe.

3.5 stars. this was much better than the last book, thank goodness! this series is much more brutal and graphic than other books about motorcycle clubs. I like it, even if it makes me cringe sometimes. I wish this book had more sex and less violence but I will continue to read this series.

5 plus. What a great story. Piper and Sniper aka Perseus, aww, cute. Have to admit I'm a little confuse. But Sniper and his brother Braxxon adorable. I did wanted little more. How about Jinx and maybe Pyro. Big Fan, cheers.

Yes to Discovering Me
Discovering Me is alittle different than the first 3.5 books in this series. This book is all about Sniper and Piper which was great. Spears does a wonderful job showing the love these two characters have for eachother. Piper and Sniper are the happiest characters in this series , even after all the hell Piper goes through she still smiles and laughs. I am glad they got their own book and I hope one day the author gives us alittle more from these two fun loving characters.
I have been looking forward to book five for years and its finally here.
I hope one day we get Tea and Shadows story because I know Spears will make theirs epic.
Beware this story has triggers, this is not your kind hearted love story, Sniper and Piper might be jokesters but Piper will be put through hell to get her HEA. Discovering Me is dark, ugly, beautiful all rolled into one amazing story.
If you have read this series from the beginning Dont read Discovering Me...this story takes place after the first 3.5 books. If you start the series with this book you will be lost. You have to start at the beginning with book one Seize Me, and follow in order with Withstanding Me, to Resenting Me, to Shadowing Me, and then Discovering Me. It's the only way to read this series.Happy Reading!!

You have to start at the beginning with book one Seize Me, and follow in order with Withstanding Me, to Resenting Me, to Shadowing Me, and then Discovering Me. This book focuses on the story of Sniper and Piper. We were introduced to them in past books, but we learn a lot more about the close blond that they share. They seem to click from the very beginning, and a wonderful and loving friendship begins. After they hook up one night, they each are equally determined to keep their relationship strictly on a friendship level.
Of course with this MC, trouble is never far away. Piper finds herself in a horrible and dangerous situation. Sniper goes nuts when he can't find her, It is during this desperate situation that both he and Piper realize how they truly feel about one another. They each make a vow to see where their relationship might go if they survive.
Crystal Spears has done it again! I love every book in this series, and I can't wait to read more!

Dark and Edgy
This is my favorite book in the series. I love that Sniper and Piper were legitimate best friends before anything happened between them. Friendship between a man and woman, whether they end up together or not is one of my favorite things ever. Like most best friends of the opposite sex, they worry that crossing that line to physical intimacy will ruin the friendship. So, you have that angst coupled with worry for each other's safety and the dangerous situations the world they live in presents and it makes for edge of your seat drama and I loved that about this book! If you like your MC romance dark and edgy I highly recommend this series.

A book that can make me laugh out loud, cry tears of sorrow/pain and tears of pure love is a five star read to me. This book really turns this series from just on to great. It may have been because of Piper and Sniper were amazing character or maybe it is cause Crystal herself has grown tremendously as an author, I’m not sure and honestly either is great. But overall the story was perfect, the heartbreaking scenes and flashbacks made the story that much stronger and the scenes where he is reading her words out loud, I had tears running down my cheeks.

Absolutely love this series and the characters! The mayhem, the love, the brotherhood continues with each book and gets better and better. I absolutely love Piper and Sniper. For all their humor and joking, there is just as much drama surrounding them.

Discovering Me is the fourth installment in the BreakNeck MC Romance series by Crystal Spears and dammit- it stole my breath and gave me life. From the start the reader’s eyes are opened to a very unique and strong as oak friendship between club rescue-e Piper and BreakNeck biker Sniper. I adored their friendship. I understood the push and pull they had toward one another. The deep and cutting need and desire to become more, mean more than the next intake of oxygen to one another was the theme and they certainly delivered as a couple. Best Friends in love, but neither willing to damage their bond on the whim that something substantial could work between them. If it were any more poetic, they’d be star-crossed.
There was maybe one too many scenes where Piper was completely unreasonable and while I love my Alpha bikers, rough and tough and unapologetic in their epic charismatic – douchery (trust me, it totally works *wink*)- but when my hero is apologizing and well and truly humbled, I need the heroine to get thee fuck on board and accept the mans apology!
Then the unimaginable happens. Piper is kidnapped by a new and dangerous enemy (the Mexican Cartel) and Sniper’s world grinds to a halt. He can barely think straight and neither could I. Luckily I was reading this novel on my e-reader as my pages would have surely been reduced to shreds finer than those produced by an industrial strength paper shredder. I could not believe how cavalier the clubs reaction was to Piper’s abduction, especially given that they had only not too long ago rescued Piper from her past life as a human trafficking victim. Like seriously! I could have knocked all of their teeth out, like fine whatever, lock the first lady ,Winter away and keep things quiet to stave off her panic and a possible miscarriage, but get your ass in gear and rescue our girl! *Deep heaving breaths* Like dudes, get the lead out! Along with Piper, supremely unlucky, newcomer Jinx (who I loved!!!) was also abducted and abused and beaten at the hands of the cartel.
Annnnd Sniper is ready to paint the town blood red.
Did I mention that Jinx was a red-headed beauty who Pyro seemed to come alive around Jinx…Yeah. Ish gets extremely critical!
No one but no one can write biker violence and assault like Spears. Dare I say she holds the crown for this particular talent. It was raw and gritty and you involuntarily transport yourself into these women and into that damp, cold basement. You feel the bite of the steel ankle cuffs and you can hear the sound of the chains dragging along the floor as they desperately fight to survive.
It is most certainly not for the faint of heart, but it is authentic and bold and I would not have it any other way.
“You’re my one and only. The only man I have ever allowed to have me.” She sighs. “Do you get that? The only man allowed. I want you, and only you, we just need to be careful, all right? Please, for me?
Me, be careful, after thinking I lost her and now knowing that I fucking love her? She wants me to be careful? And I’m in it for her? No pressure there at fucking all. None. Fuck! I wanted to throw her against a wall and pound us through the sheetrock. How the fuck is that in any way careful?
No baby, I’ll hurt you…
I initially had a problem with how things resolved so quickly, but then I realized that it was necessary. Piper was a complex character who had been to hell and back twice, lived to tell the tale and is now grasping onto her life and future with all ten fingers and toes. I get it. I respect it. Only when you have danced with the devil and have the singes to prove it, can you view life as Piper does, each moment barely a given and there is absolutely no promise of a tomorrow. Piper knows how to survive. Been there, done that. Now she wants to live and the first step for her- is a step towards Sniper who she knows inside and out and who she loves without condition.
This novel packed a punch. Sexy and steam and a lot of tragedy and perseverance in-between. Discovering Me felt a little shorter and quicker paced than the last novels and with the glimpses of Shadow and Tea and a flash of what could be for Pyro, I can not wait for the next installment. There was also a great reveal that I thought deserved a little more attention, if for no other reason that it was a huge WTF- But I thought you were -!?? kind of moment. I hope Spears develops the events surrounding this ghost of a characters arrival.
Though it is number four in the series, I found that it could stands alone, but….who wants to just read one :-)
