loved it
Yarra’s fresh out of prison just trying to get her life right and move on her own terms. Her girl Pilar got her back, making sure she’s straight while juggling her own drama with her man, Sincere. But once Sincere invites them both to his boy Peace’s party… whew, that’s when things start moving!
Neither Yarra nor Peace was looking for anything serious, but the chemistry was undeniable. Peace is everything Yarra didn’t know she needed, and even though she’s trying to stick to her plan, he’s making it real hard to stay focused. On the flip side, Peace got his own trust issues, but Yarra might just be the one to break through that.
This was a great way to get the backstory of the two of them and I loved it.

I’ve really been enjoying the romance stories by Authoress Nai. I don’t usually read the same author back-to-back, but I had to come back and share my thoughts on Yarra and Peace.
This was another flawless read no grammatical or spelling errors, which really helped the story flow smoothly. I also appreciated how both perspectives were given it made the connection between the characters feel genuine and well-rounded.
Personally, I do think elaborating on a few character introductions could give a bit more insight, like for instance Brittany popping up, what was said, I get the reason she was introduced but more context on what she was actually doing there would help, but that’s just my own opinion. I always end up wanting more when a story pulls me in like this.

What I took from this story is that no matter what you’ve been through, you should never stop dreaming. Yarra’s time in prison didn’t stop her from chasing her passion or believing in herself. Even though she felt like she had something to prove to her mother, once she realized she didn’t owe anyone that validation, she found her freedom mentally and emotionally. That’s when she was finally able to live and enjoy what she truly loved.
The story also touched on domestic violence in a very real way. It’s something so many people can relate to whether they’ve experienced it themselves or know someone who has. As much as we may want to help, the truth is, change has to come from within. Sometimes, just being there and offering support can give someone the courage they need to finally walk away.
