Character Issues
Some writers would love to meet their characters; a cup of coffee, some stimulating conversation, and a fond farewell. Others would run screaming from the thought. Kyle Murdoch is definitely one of the latter.
When the kid shows up on his doorstep, Kyle thinks he's just an obsessed fan at first. But as events grow frantically worse and more characters seek him out, Kyle will have to find a strength he's not sure he possesses if he's to right his wrongs and take responsibility for his creations.

Pleasantly surprised
I decided to give one of Chambers' novellas a chance, as I work a weird schedule and don't have much time for full novels often. This did not disappoint. The twists, while possibly predictable at times, were actually well spaced at not too far fetched. The interaction amongst all of the side characters helped add to my enjoyment of the story as a whole. I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of Michael Chambers in the future.
