Where Shadows Move is a well written Supernatural Thriller by Author Caroline Angel set in Australia. The main protagonist Sarah brings home a box of items from a market stall and comes across a set of Fortune Telling cards with unique abilities. At first Sarah is thrilled with the effects from the cards and lulled into a false sense of security as they manifest what Sarah desires. But as is normally the case, things are too good to be true and the consequences of using the cards take a darker and much frightening turn as people start to die around her in horrific ways. The Gift is clearly a Curse and one that has dug its claws into Sarah and refuses to let go. Now she must find a way to rid herself of the cards, and protect the ones she loves.
I loved the plot which moves at a satisfactory pace, the tension creeping steadily forward, pulling the reader in before suddenly thrusting them into terror and chaos. The characters are all well developed and easy to connect with, giving credibility to the plot and circumstances they find themselves in. Uncle Wally and Alison are two characters in particular that I really enjoyed and whilst they have their strengths it was good to see that they were not immune to the darkness and entity that haunted the cards. I loved all of the new age references that Sarah is told to try to silence the cards and prevent further deaths. Whilst there are some odd editorial issues, these are very minor and in no way distract the reader or pull them out of the story.
I would recommend to all horror and supernatural fans and award 5 stars.
I have read several thriller books, but this story is a terrific thrill I have ever arrived across forthwith. The story is straightforward yet breathtaking while flipping through as the matter is only a small box but its consequences to the protagonist will astound you and compel you to read further till the end. It draws your interest to the manner the author has conspired the story. The blurb of the story is Sarah reveals a box being attractive and buys it, but that one box and her life turns upside down, from the next day itself, she gets stuffs being positioned weirdly, she experiences distinct occurrences which are worth reading, the unexpected ringing of phone calls, an immense disruption in her schedule, wired quirks emerging around her which are unpredictable. There are assorted people entangled each exploiting a unique personality and counting to the mystery. The climax of the story will relieve you that how Sarah dealt in with the troubles that came across with it in a wise manner and holding a happy lovely ending with Michael. I would recommend to all readers whether you admire thrillers or not do read this book and relish the stunning nail-biter.
The book where shadows move us a super cool thriller that draws all our attention which is written by author Caroline Angel.
The story revolves around the protagonist Sarah and the dangerous path that she is about to put her leg into. Once when Sarah and Kelli went for shopping at a market of stalls, Sarah unexpectedly find a black leather bag with some tiny skulls all over it which were quite fascinating. She immediately approaches the stall owner asking whether she could buy them. The woman says that she doesn't care much about the money as it wasn't hers to offer, so she gave her the bag along with an old box which had some other stuffs in it for free. Sarah gets some attractive cards which looks super cool and eye catchy with interesting illustrations. Little did she know that sooner she was into trouble because of those fortune cards. It was full of evil that started taking lives of her close ones. She started getting nightmares. And She was slowly getting into something very dangerous which she soon realised. What happens in the end? Did she come out of the danger? The writing style was refreshing and good. The cover and title goes well with the plot line. Read and find out. Overall it was a thrilling read.
This was a really interesting and good horror story. It also mixed in a little romance, magic, and Australian heritage. Sara is given a box for free at a yard sale. She finds an intricate and old wooden box with very unique cards in it. She's fascinated by the pictures on the cards and finds herself wishing she looked like one woman on a card, had plants that looked like the ones on the card and more. She also becomes obsessed with a card showing a tall and naked man. Soon her life starts changing and Sara realizes the cards are the reason. She soon learns the cards are not as great as she thought. A unique horror story that had me waiting to find out what happens to Sara and those around her. Great audiobook.
Sara gets a deck of cards from a box she got at a market sell. The pictures of the cards draw her in especially the one of a mystery man that she can't see completely. However when she starts having weird dreams the cards change somewhat and she sees more of the man on the card. It seems like her dreams are happening in reality somewhat. Will she be able to get rid of the cards? Can she figure out what's happening?
This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
