The Table Between Us
Lesfic author Erin Wade combines humor and action in this short story as Cody Preston and Renn Summers navigate life after college. They’ve had each other’s backs since they were four. Suddenly, they face a life where Renn is a US Marshal and Cody is a budding restaurateur struggling to put her establishment on the map. You will laugh with them and cry for them as they recover from the blows life deals them, but they keep on swinging. You will love the fast action of their adventures in life and their misadventures in love. Sexy, lesbian action, and adventure. Humorous.

My plan was to work for a major accounting firm and live a comfortable life.
One never knows where fate will lead. I soon discovered I liked taking chances and started acquiring small parcels of land to resale. Within a year, I found myself immersed in the fun of land brokering. My native state, Texas, is a wide-open community of wonderful people and vast amounts of land. Opportunities in Texas are limitless. Texas and the fact that I am a workaholic were the perfect recipe for success.
I have visited every state in the U.S. and lived in some, but Texas is always the one that calls me home. I thought I had the world by the tail; a nice little ranch that bordered a Texas lake, a horse and a few head of cattle. Life was good. Then I met a woman and life was no longer good, it was amazing.
Now my life is an adventure of love and laughter. My partner encouraged me to begin writing. I published my first book in 2014 and have been successful in the Mystery/Suspense genre. Too Strong to Die is my first gay book. I am proud to say that after one week, on 2/1/2017, it is the #1 (Paid) Lesbian book on Amazon. Thank you so much for making it happen. Please let me hear from you. Should I continue writing for our community or stick with my Mystery/Suspense books?

Very good story!
Wade did an excellent job on this story. Codi and Remm were wonderful characters. They were very sweet and charismatic. They were best friends when they were little all through college when they graduated and Remm kissed Codi and confessed her love for Codi. Halley was a cute charismatic friend from grade school through college who was narcissistic and manipulative but an effective character for the story. Looking forward to Wade’s 2021 scheduled stories.

Cody and Renn have been best friends since they were children. At college together, they decide to lose weight and begin exercising so Renn could join the US Marshals. Cody has been in love with another of their friends and it's not until graduation that something begins to brew between her and Renn.
This is a short novella that is poorly written with the author switching between present and past tense with no logical reason. I'm not a big fan of Wade's but I wanted to know how she'd deal with the weight issue. I've decided it's a mixed bag. On the one hand the MCs are determined to lose weight and do so, on the other hand it becomes clear to Cody that some people who wouldn't look at her when she was fat are all of a sudden interested and she resents that.

This tale does make a few good points about the difficulties that over weight individuals have in our society. However, the story arc is all over the place. There are far too many plot threads. Major events seem to occur randomly and without reason or buildup. The end result is a less than satisfactory read.

Another...
Story I couldn't put down. I love the way Erin Wade writes. It's almost like you are in the story with Cody and Renn. I try to write these not to give to much away. All the characters in this story are dynamic. It is well worth the buy. I hope that you enjoy this story as much as I have.

Great.
I really enjoyed The Table Between Us. Wow. For a short book it sure packs a lot of action. Romance. Restaurant Management. Law Enforcement and Thugs. All wrapped up in one quick read.
