As Christians, we understand on our own strength, there is much we can’t do. Yet with God’s enabling a world of possibility opens. Karen Moore has written 100 devotions in IT’S STILL POSSIBLE. Each devotion begins with a pointed verse of Scripture, followed with an encouraging story and ends with a short prayer.
For example, “Remember Who You Are” begins with Galatians 3:29. The devotion says in part, “If you are struggling with who you are and what you should be doing with your life, you may find the Internet can supply you with some leads, but only God can supply all your needs. Only God knows who you truly are and the kind of person you have the potential to become. Seek His face and remember who you are, a blessed child of God.” (Page 19)
Buy a copy of IT’S STILL POSSIBLE and put it on your night stand or on your desk, then read a devotion and ask God to open new doors in your life. I highly recommend this resource.
Karen Moore’s book, It’s Still Possible, is as beautiful on the inside as the outside cover. We may not think we need 100 Reminders that God Can Do All Things. But just in case we have any doubts, Karen skillfully and beautifully reminds us both of God’s faithful promises to do the impossible, and of our own need to believe that He can and will. In a world that desperately needs to know that dreams are still possible, Karen’s book challenges us to throw away our excuses, own any mistakes, and design new dreams. But she also provides wonderful comfort and encouragement and shows how to focus on the only One who truly makes all things possible.
I like these words from one of her chapters: “The beauty of an open hand is that it most often is accompanied by an open heart. When we want God to give generously to us, we have to make sure we don’t hold anything back from Him. With an open hand and an open heart, we find the way to all that is still possible.” I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I chose to review it, and this is my own opinion. –Rebecca Barlow Jordan, author of Day-votions with Your Faithful Father and other books.
