Rate this book
Kieran Andras is not your average rebellious teenager. After escaping a troubled home, he plunges into a world of drugs and recklessness, teetering on the brink of losing himself entirely. Just when all seems lost, a mysterious angel intervenes, offering Kieran a chance at redemption.

However, when a dangerous new drug called "the sickness" begins to spread through his school, Kieran's world spirals into chaos. With the help of a group of otherworldly students, he starts to uncover the truth about his angel's dark secrets. As tensions rise and alliances shift, Kieran is torn between the seductive safety of his angel and the urgent need to do what's right.

In a world where nothing is as it seems, Kieran must face the hidden dangers lurking in the shadows and discover what hides in the shadows.

CW-show vibes in book form—sexy, spicy, and dripping with dark mystery, where secrets and shadows collide.

I have to say I went into this book expecting it to be like the Vampire Diaries because that’s what the author said it was like. So I was already disappointed. This book wasn’t bad, just wasn’t what was promised. And she added in super natural stuff right at the end and the whole book was about over dosing on “the sickness”. Which the whole time I was hoping the sickness was them becoming vampire. But no. And there were no vamps in this book either.

And incredible dive into a gripping world of magical realism, teenage coming-of-age, and nail biting mystery. Nikki writes drama so well, and her scenes cut deep with both danger and humor. A stunning tale that I hope leads into more books!

2.5 stars. Meh. I liked the concept of this but I don't think it was well executed.
