I am an electrical engineer starting out his career in relay protection and metering. All modern protection and metering devices are essentially microprocessors that communicate with each other through either a wired or wireless medium.
This book is great, concise overview of the fundamentals of networking and communication; a field where I was severely lacking in knowledge but also one that I needed to expand upon for my job.
Strongly recommended!
