Author is a racist white woman who called a Black woman a man, got upset when people (including white people) called her out over it, and doubled down by calling another Black woman a 'hard R'

When called out on *that*, she tried to say she meant *another* slur (an ableist one, not the racist one).

Adventurous and Heartwarming

Journeys tells the story of Winnie, who makes a bad choice in a man but is determined to raise her child, Sarah, in a loving environment. When she met Colt, she manages to do just that with an unforseen twist.

Sarah and Colt have an adventurous train journey to find her family and end up winning the hearts of the readers.

Robyn Hartling has written a memorable children's story that will have her readers waiting for sequels.

I am adding this here to count in my GOodreads reading list for the year. My actual review is over on Audible. But I can't find a way to change the edition here. My choices seem to be paperback and kindle. But I listened to the book.

5* for the story and 3* for the performance/reading. Check out the Audible review for more details.

Unbelievable journey, but so real and relatable... I can totally imagine it not being fiction, at least certain parts of it. 😅
The story is eventful and unpredictable as the life itself...
It just takes you onboard and shows you the way, not letting you get distracted with glimpses of mysterious events around you.
I really like Robyn's writing style. It's charming and straightforward. ☺️

sweet

A very sweet and believable tale, very simple in its own way but enjoyable none the less. I follow Robyn and was pleased when this became available in the UK.

Horrible boring book by someone with too much time on their hands. Hope she uses her time to write a better book instead of using racist and ableist slurs online.
