Lisbon in autumn. Labor Day in Portugal. And thrills around every corner.
Lucy Landish and The Holiday Adventure Club arrive just in time for the city’s International Horror Film Festival, where masked monsters and midnight screenings keep the streets buzzing. But after a decade as a medical examiner, Lucy isn’t sure she wants more blood and gore—fictional or otherwise.
Her guests, though, are ready to dive in. There’s “The Twins of Tucson”—an entire group made up of actual twins—determined to double their fun in every plaza and café. And then there’s Lucy’s Aunt Sharon, joining the adventure as thanks for all she’s done for Lucy’s mom. Only Sharon isn’t interested in sightseeing… she’s far too busy trying to set Lucy up with the perfect man.
Between family meddling, eccentric guests, and a city alive with film-fueled frights, Lucy’s sixth holiday adventure might just be her most unpredictable yet.
Stephanie Taylor writes a romantic comedy series about a fictional island called "Christmas Key," as well as several other standalone romance, YA, and middle grade titles.
Lucy's travel group this trip are sets of twins apart from an elderly lady who lost her twin several years earlier. Lucy takes her Aunt Sharon on the trip as a thank you for helping her Mum who has Alzheimer's. Her Mother is getting worse so Lucy is going to get a house for the three of them when they get back and will hire a caregiver. The trip is going well for the most part apart from an initial rocky start. Lovely read
This one went quickly...mostly about twins Ryan & Clementine and their relationship. A good read with Lucy taking her aunt along for the trip. Now on to Halloween in Havana!
There are lots of changes some good and some bad. I feel for Lucy and how her life became so busy with mom, ex, and her job. I am glad she made the decisions she did. However not all things have happy endings.
