I have to say it's taken me months to read this book, it's not the books fault I want to make that clear and I'll explain why at the end.
I wasn't sure I was going to like this book and I suspect a lot of people might not because basically it's about prostitution, it's dressed up but there's no hiding it, not that it makes any effort to do so.
River is struggling financially she's working and studying and falling further and further behind it's got to the point where she needs to decide if she should eat or ride the bus.
Her friend Jade offers her a solution by mentioning the Dean’s List, the Dean’s List is about students seeking ‘sponsorship’ from members in their field of study and these members can be very ‘accommodating' and in return you see to their needs.
Basically intelligent good looking students can sign up to the Dean's List, their picture is put online for the exclusive clientele to pick from.
I wasn't sure I'd like it and I did wonder if was smut packaged differently (not that there's anything wrong with that sometimes smut is just what you're looking for) it turns out I really enjoyed this. I liked the characters, River has good reasons for signing up but struggles at times with her decision, I really liked her and the men in her life and I'm so glad one of them in particular gets his own book/novella 'The Graduate' which I'm reading next. Well I was going to read it next but for some reason unlike this book and the one after it's not on KU which I find surprisingly.
This book surprised me, it was more than I expected and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Jonathan was charismatic and intriguing and from the first moment I wanted them to work out but is that even an option?
Men (and women) have different reasons for using this service Jonathan makes it clear up front
"I was married and lost my wife to cancer several years ago. She was irreplaceable. I don’t want the entanglements of a relationship. I’m not interested in pleasing a woman in every aspect of her life. I’m not interested in experiencing the kind of pain I felt when Claire died in my arms.”
So River knows without a doubt not to think of this as a relationship it's a business arrangement pure and simple, even if she wants it to be so much more.
Why did it take me so long to read it?
When I noticed it on Amazon I downloaded it to my phone instead of my kindle (no idea why) and there it sat, now I usually take my kindle with me if I expect to get any reading time while I'm out but sometimes it's unexpected and then I use my phone and that's how I started this book. By the time I got round to reading it I'd forgotten what it was about (I download a lot of books) and I hadn't checked any reviews so it was a surprise. This continued for weeks reading little here and there, not the best way to get into a book I know but still it held me and after reading a bit more yesterday I was hooked I downloaded it to my kindle and finished it overnight.

You have nothing

You’re scrapping through

You have a shitty job

You’re studying

You’re trying to pay your student loans

River young trying to make something of herself, yours studying hard and working part time for a shitty wage just to get through school. Your parents hate you, you’re the pastors daughter who they think is a whore. But now you become what they say, what they hate what they don’t believe in, you become the whore, the escort, someone who sells there body to make money. Its great money but at what cost.

How do you separate physical from emotional?

How do you sell your body?

Everyone sells something at a cost a price.

Does River sell her soul?

Johnathan wealthy, hot but a lot older. He lost his wife to breast cancer and is emotionally unavailable. He uses the service for a need, for a purpose for when his lonely. He sees her picture he sees her smile, they connect, there’s sparks he wants her but he can’t have her.

She is a service he pays for

He can’t fall for her.

Did fate bring them together?

She leaves the Service and so does he but do they continue their relationship now that Johnathan isn't paying for them?

We really enjoyed River and Johnathan’s story it shows that anything is possible and sometimes no matter where you are if you’re meant to be you meant to be no matter the circumstances.

This book took us on a ride we could feel his pain as he overcome falling in love with someone that wasn't his wife and we watched River loose her spark then find her ray of sunshine again. She stood up to her parents in order for her to move on and get passed a shitty childhood of neglect and mental abuse.

We have never read anything By Kelly Collins before and she took us on her adventure, we were able to get drawn into the book from the very 1st page and it had us hooked

We highly recommend this read Thank you Kelly for a great read!!

LEEANN'S REVIEW
5 STARS

River is a full time student and she is flat broke. Her besties introduces her to a life that goes well beyond her imagination. Her eyes are opened to a world she never knew existed and a lot of questions she had in the back of her mind about her friend are answered.

Jonathan is a widow and extremely wealthy. When he and River meet, lines will be drawn, they will be crossed and there will be no going back. They find themselves considering if breaking the rules is worth it to get a happy ever after.

The progression of the characters from the start of the story to the end is well thought out and well planned. What I liked about River in particular is that she says what she really thinks. There is no confusion about what she thinks or feels. She really sees things for what they are in spite of the smoke and mirrors.
Despite the circumstances of them Coming together, Jonathan is the ultimate gentleman... except in the bedroom, then he becomes a pure alpha male determined to give as much pleasure as he takes.

This is one of this stories that has an element off truth to it which makes it intriguing as much as it it suprising this sort of thing really does happen.

Kelly Collins has a way of writing that ensures the sexy scenes are smoldering the emotion is real and the humour makes you laugh out loud at times. She brings the fantasy to life in a way that leaves you wanting more!

I loved this book and recommend it to anyone and everyone, it will keep you up for hours because once you start reading you won't want to put it down until the end!

If you’re trying to scare me, you’re failing. You don’t have the fear factor. You wear Hello Kitty pajamas and drink caramel lattes for God’s sake. Who could be afraid of someone who likes cats and caramel?

A person would have to be a masochist to enjoy that spa day. The only consolation was it was supposed to get easier every time. The waxer was bold enough to say that sometimes the hair was so scared it didn’t grow back.

I’d have to separate my brain from my penis flytrap if I were going to get through this.

These aren’t young, stunning women. They are women who put off dating to break through the glass ceiling. One of them looked like she went headfirst.

She reminded me of the gargoyles that sat on top of old churches. They looked stiff and mean. That was Grace. She had that Botox-infused look that did nothing for her face. Her scowl would remain forever.

My Review:

The Dean’s List was wickedly funny, highly insightful, well written, and sizzling in sensuality. In other words, it was close to nirvana. As with all of Ms. Collin’s works that I have read, the writing was entertaining, relevant, and atomically steamy. Ms. Collins has a knack for developing flawed yet vibrant characters and expertly placing them in a compelling and unusual storyline that occasionally has me cringing, yet I am unable to put my kindle down. She has a marvelous style, unique talent, and mad skills. I am hopelessly addicted to her brand of humorous and steamy romance, and greedily want to read everything she ever writes.

Wow!! This was a great book that dived right into the world high class "companions" based upon your university education!

River Roberts has hit rock bottom and has no idea how she can afford anything else to go wrong. She can barely keep up with her rent and tuition costs working at the coffee shop. In walks her best friend Jade who tells her about her current job based out of the university, called The Dean's List, where she can earn in one night more than River makes in a week. Jade tells her the job is great but not to get attached and that it can be lonely.

Jonathan Ferris is a widow who is not looking for a serious relationship and is part of The Dean's List. He is attracted to River but lets her know he is only looking for casual with her.

As both River and Jonathan become attracted to each other and in an environment where this is frowned upon, will River be able to keep going? Then one night changes everything for everyone involved.

The characters in this book were so well developed and I loved the supporting characters as well. River is trying to overcome her past without letting go of who she has become which is a very fuzzy line for her. I absolutely adored the character of Ben and understood why he cared for River. Then there is Paul and I loved the relationship between he and River and everything she taught him!

Such a great read and Kelly Collins certainly does not disappoint with this one!

**ARC received for an honest review**

Wow...just, Holy WOW.

I will admit, when I received the ARC of this book, I did not read the synopsis, I had no idea what the book was about or if it was even something I would normally read. Boy was I happily surprised!!

The premise of this book was fantastic, my initial thought when hearing the title and seeing the cover was "college student chases professor" or vice versa. That is NOT what this book is!

It is a story about a girl, River, who has hit financial rock bottom and is forced to make choices that she never thought she would ever consider. Although she goes into her new "job" with her eyes as open as they can be, things get a little complicated. However, being smart and confident are her strengths and she uses the opportunities that come her way to her advantage, and makes the uncomfortable position she is in, a bit easier for her to bear (and a whole LOT of fun to read about).

I loved the dynamic between River and Jonathan. They are so different and yet they connect on such a level that it can't be disputed. I also loved Jade. Her interactions with River are what true friendship is all about.

I would HIGHLY recommended this book (I have already posted it to my blog page) and can tell you, you are in for one Hell of a ride!

The Dean's List - Kelly Collins 4.5 stars

Wow, this wasn't what I was expecting at all ! This was quite a unique story and so different from the norm. I really enjoyed reading River's story and her journey through her strange situations.

Without giving too much away .... River is living on the breadline and to continue through college needs a lifeline fast, her best friend admits her hidden secret and convinces River to apply for a 'hospitality' job!! Things are not always as they seem, River soon learns that every situation is very different, but does she have what it takes to survive a full year in this employment ?

I loved River and Jonathan's connection and the instant chemistry, also the very random encounters with Ben and Paul were brilliant! A great read which kept me captured and my heart went out to River whose beautiful personality managed to come through in every situation - even though her family had mentally beaten her over the years.

I'll certainly be on the look out for more from this author, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend.

Ok so this is a new author for me and I started the book a couple of hours ago and I devored it in one sitting. Wow this was completely not what I was expecting. We have a 25 year old graduate student trying to make it on her own, but not doing very well at it, when her best friend tells her about a job with "The Dean's List". It is basically an escort service that caters to the elite that have graduated from the university that she attends, under the disguse of a mentoring program. Through this job River meets Jonathon who is older than her and a widower. Their chemistry is off the charts and you can't help but root for them throughout. They suffer through misplaced fears, jealousy, self doubt only to find out how much they were wrong about their actions. River is an amazing character she is strong but always being overlooked she has some self esteem issues and Jonathon after going through something as tramatic as losing his wife he coesnt wasn't to subject himself to loving someone like that again with the posibility of losing them as well. They are a great compelling couple and you cheer them on throughout. A very good read.

I'm not sure there are enough words to express what I thought about The Dean's List. It was by far one of the most interesting and fascinating stories I've had the pleasure of reading. It was different from most books that are currently out, the ones with the nearly identical plots that aren't hard to figure out. I loved how I wasn't able to easily figure out how River's story was going to end, I even thought that maybe she'd never get her happy ending. But life has a funny way of working out. What I really loved most was River's compassion, because she has some serious amounts of compassion running through her. I especially loved how she helped one client's self-esteem grow into something truly amazing, amazing enough to bring tears go my eyes.

I cannot recommend this book enough.....you definitely need to read it. You'll not be sorry about it. It will be on your favorites list by the time you read, The End. Do yourself a favor, and one-click this one immediately.

4.5 Hearts

This is the first book I have read by Author Kelly Collins and it most certainly will not be my last. I loved her descriptive writing style. She pulls her readers into the story from start to finish.

I will be honest, I was not exactly sure what to expect when I started reading this story, and I loved that what I thought I would be reading was far from the truth. This story is about a young woman struggling in graduate school and not so sure how she is ever going to survive. She decides to take a job at concierge service. She isn't sure she can hand what it all will entail but the money she will make pushes her forward. Letting her head overrule her heart.

River Roberts set off on life changing journey that she never knew would happen. She was somewhat broken and let people push her around when this story started. Yes, she is sassy and outspoken and will have you in stitches, but she also is a vulnerable woman who just wants to be loved for the first time in her life. She does not know what it is like to have someone actually care of her.

I loved how River sized up each man, checking them off a mental list and noting little things about them. She was very good at seeing the good in people and pulling out the positives in them. The three men that she is drawn to all need something different from her and she knows exactly what she wants to do, even if she knows her heart my break.

There are many men who River meets throughout this story but there are three men that I want to talk about.

First we meet Jonathan Ferris, the filthy rich man that oozed confidence and power. River had me drooling right along with her on their first date. Jonathan intrigued me from the minute he was introduced to us. Jonathon needed River’s friendship and love even when he didn’t realize he did and river needed his support just as much.

Second, we have Ben, this man was much older and just wanted someone to talk to and teach how business should be handled. I loved how he focused on manners and common courtesy. River knew this man would teach her so much more than she was even ready for.

Last, there was Paul, a man who just never knew how to get a girl and needed someone who had love and patience to teach him. I must say he was the best student ever and learned some serious skills. River and Paul’s connection was one you don’t find that often. It is the type of friendship everyone wants to is too scared to ask. I loved how excited Paul was when River told him he graduated as her student.

You cannot give a review without mentioning Rivers best friend Jade. This girl had me rolling. She was saucy and always popped in when we needed a break from something serious.

I would love to add a few quotes but every one I want to add feels like it will give something important away. So, I will leave you with this, if you are looking for a story that has many layers to it this baby is for you. There is are some off the charts steamy scenes in this story, but there is tons of humor, and a few places that will have you gasping. Oh, and a few that will have you wanting to hop in the book and smack someone.

"I was plunging into water I'd never tested before. I'd never been ths nervous in my life."

One word...WOWZA!

I was intrigued right from the start! The synopsis drew me in immediately.

I had to know more about this Dean's List!

River was a struggling college student with an awful job and student loans out the wazoo. Her parents might just be some of the most emotionally and verbally abusive people ever. She needs a savior- a break. With the help of her best friend, Jade, she enrolls in this little company called The Dean's List. Oh, buddy!

Jonathan was a man still grieving for his late wife. He also just happens to be River's first "client". The attraction was instant! But you're not supposed to develop feelings for any of the clients...too bad River's heart didn't listen.

"Oh, Mr. Ferris, do you flatter all the women?"
"No, Ms. Roberts. I usually screw other women and move on, but you're special. You deserve more."

I fell for Jonathan probably just as quickly as River did! That man had a way with words...and his hands. *fans self*
Their relationship was not a normal one, but in some ways it was.

These two characters came into this arrangement not expecting anything other than the obvious stipulations. What they got was so much more! Being inside River's mind showed her vulnerability, but also her strong will. She was emotionally damaged in some aspects, but Jonanthan showed her that she could be cherished.

That man....

"I didn't expect to like you this much. What am I going to do with you?"
"Just be with me, Nothing else is required. Enjoy me. I'll enjoy you. We'll enjoy each other. It's that simple."
"Is it?"

I also enjoyed River's friends Jade and Luca. They were a perfect balance of friendship. They all shared a common bond and it helped them understand each other when no one else could.

I also liked Ben and Paul, but their relationships with River are on a completely different scale. I really loved Ben though! I found myself wishing I had someone like him to talk to. Sweet man.

But nothing compared to the way Jonathan made River feel. The way he called her his Sunshine. The meaningful gifts he gave. The way that she not only "pleased" him, but how he pleased her as well.

"Although I'd be surrounded by darkness, I had become sunshine to someone else."

I went into this book having no clue what the outcome would be.

I will tell you this...SO GOOD!!!

There are some WTH moments. There are many (oh, so many) HAWT scenes. There are TOUGH to read parts. There are SWOONWORTHY moments that make you melt into a puddle of goo.

"I just want to know why now, why me?"
"Jonathan, I trust you. I trust in you. I've never felt like this before...you mean something more to me."
"Sunshine, I'm lost in you."

Yep...Puddle. Of. Goo!

Kelly Collins wrote a book that wasn't like the norm. It was a breath of fresh air to read this. I love a great story that takes you into situations that you never thought about before. That's what River and Jonathan's story is to me.

Great read!!!!

"Our journey had been unorthodox. Our relationship started with a list, The Dean's List."

I don’t remember how I got the ARC, if I had signed up for it I just know it was in my email one day. I read the synopsis and thought this can be an interesting book but probably something I’ve already read. I started reading it with the expectation I would figure out the entire plot before the end. Let me say this book is a surprise out of left field…and in a good way. It’s phenomenal. I started it late on a Sunday night which meant I was up past my bedtime on a work night to get through the first third. As soon as I got home on Monday I made myself cozy on the bed thinking I’ll just read a few chapters and do chores, housework, emails. This didn’t happen. I could not put it down. It put me that fantastic vegetative state; you know the one I’m talking about. There are cartoons of the stick figure on the bed in various positions on Pinterest.

River is struggling to afford rent, the costs of graduate school, food. She’s just not making enough as a bikini barista. So is it really hard to imagine stepping up to the role as an escort for influential men with ties to her field of study at the university. Let’s face it no one wants student loan debt. Even now while I repay my own, I think about what I would do for the money. River and Jade’s, her best friend, dialogue is spot on for a college coed. It’s often just that side of smutty, while the general plot is just on this side of the same line. The Dean’s List does something a bit out of character for erotic romance by spending the first 20% really lining up the details of what the list is. We don’t even meet the hero, Jonathan until just after that point.

River has meetings with several men but the story mostly focuses on three’ each have different qualities and contribute to her journey in their unique ways. Fortunately a large chunk of the plot centers on River and Jonathan. Their chemistry is immense and palpable from the outset but sadly a true relationship isn’t. She’s just sex and he doesn’t do permanent. The toil and angst propels the storyline and more importantly, the characters’ growth.

Collins does an astonishing job creating empathy for the world’s oldest profession. She torments with the will they, won’t they between River and her men. There will be tears from dejection, but also moments of belly laughter from “a cocktail followed by a cock”. It is sensuous and erotic but also manages to have heart. The Dean’s List got under my skin in the best way possible—and it won’t soon be forgotten.

**I received a copy of this book from the author to beta read**

I gave this book 5 stars!!

I was hooked from the first word to the last. I couldn't put it down and when I did I would hurry with whatever I had to do and get back to it. I even think I carried it to the bathroom because it seems like I was always in a good part!!! The characters and the emotions that comes out makes you think that this is going on in real life for all I know it does! I can honestly say that Ill never look at The Deans List the same way and not think of this book.

From the start you can easily the struggles that River has to endure. Her family does nothing but degrades her. When she takes a job with her friend Jade she see her life start to turn around, and she is no longer living pay check to pay check. She has the opportunity to give high profile people off the Deans List companionship in exchange for a comfortable life and success in the future.

Johnathan is a widower that isn't looking for love but needs someone to meet his needs and some companionship to social events. He meets Raven and asks for 2 of her nights a week, but he doesn't want nothing more than this.

Oh my goodness where do I start with Paul....well I can say he can eat a peach now thanks to River. Paul is a successful businessman and needs someone 1 night a week to help him with his "little" problem.

Ben is a grandfatherly type of man and very successful. He gives River advise and treats her like his granddaughter. He is looking for nothing more than some companionship and asks for River to accompany him 1 night a week to social events and dinner.

Can these very successful men show River the true meaning of life? Can they show her how to be successful? Can River prove that love can found again?

If you want these answers then your going to have to get a copy of this Amazing book and read and see.

Kelly thank you for letting me beta read this book, It is on my top 20 for the year. You have a writing style keeps me wanting more. I think my kindle even just about caught on fire with the HOT sex scenes. You have written a beautiful love story with a twist and I can't wait to more from you. <3

Wow Kelly did an amazing job!!! This book was truly from what I thought it was going to be.
River ( let me just say I love the names ok this book) is a struggling college student who is really trying to figure out how she is going pay her bills. Her best friend Jade was in the same spot not long ago and now she is living the high life.
River soon discovers how Jade is making this work and is quick to join in. River isn't on the list very long before things start to change for her. And she is having a hard time breaking away from what she grew up believing was true and and now she thinks she's made it true.

The Deans list is a list of mentors both men's and women. They all want something from these young college students. You are given a simple list of rules to follow. I am sure you can guess what they are........

Rivers phone starts ringing off the hook as soon has her profile goes live. She now pick and choose whom she wants to meet with and whom she doesn't.
Everything start of great for her but while things are picking up for her they are falling apart for her best friend and it has them both rethinking everything.

All of her encounters are going great only Rover starts to have feelings for one of the mentors and she starts to believe that he is too. Only there is always that barrier. And in this case it is another mentor who stands in the way of everything River wants and needs.

From here if I say too much it'll ruin the book for you. Let's just say Kelly did a great job and you won't be disappointed!!!

I received a copy of The Dean's List for a blog tour and my honest review.

This is my first Kelly Collins book, so I didn't know what to expect as to her writing style and character development... I needn't have feared. It was GREAT!
I loved the characters and the storyline. And of course, I'm a sucker for a smile..so I have to include...

~"It took me as long as it took to see your picture. Your smile did it for me. I wanted the girl whose eyes laughed along with her body. I wanted you."

River is a down on her luck masters student working as a bikini barista in a coffee bar. She hates it, and business is so bad lately that she only made 40 bucks in tips.
Her friend Jade lets her in on a little secret called The Dean's List and River jumps at the chance. She's quickly whisked from her crappy world into one of decadence and wealth. She meets Jonathon Ferris, a widower, and she's quickly smitten.
Jonathon is very possessive even though he lets her know they have no hope of a relationship. And things are great, they have a solid understanding until River is beaten and almost raped.
What a super, edge of your seat story. I knew where it was going, it's not hard to guess, but Kelly Collins has such a great writing style and she's so descriptive that I was hovering at the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens and how it's going to be described.
The Dean's List is hot and sexy and a quick read. I would LOVE to read Jade's story...hint hint...nothing wrong with a smoking hot MMF!
4.5 Super sexy stars

Have you ever thought about the things that people in college go through in order to just pay for food, transportation, student loans, tuition, books, etc.? This book is a classic example of the extraordinary lengths that some people will go to, both men and women. This is not your classic, contemporary romance story. This one is filled with heartache, abuse, intrigue, secrets, lies, friendships, failures, loss of love, misunderstndings, and of course finding love. This was one of those books that I said to myself, I'd stop reading at a certain point, but when that time came to put the book down, I was like, "I only have an hour left to read!" and I had to finish it. I knew I could not put the book down. River is a spunky thing, and her best friend Jade is so steady. They're the perfect dynamic duo with regards to their friendship. You cannot help but to love them and cry for them and cheer for them as they make their way through the trials and tribulations of being in Graduate School at the University. Watch the extraordinary way that River secures her own happiness.

The Dean’s list was my first introduction to author Kelly Collins. I was incredibly impressed with her writing. I will definitely be reading the rest of her work.

This book is phenomenal! It is a wonderful combination of witty, emotional and steaming hot! There are many books that I enjoy, but there are few that I cannot put down. I could not put down this book; getting zero sleep until I finished.

River Roberts is the typical college student. She’s working hard trying to balance school and work. Making ends meet, financially, just isn’t happening for her. Sometimes desperation makes you do things that are outside of your comfort zone. The Dean’s list is way outside of her comfort zone.

Jonathan Ferris, is handsome, charming, wealthy….and lonely. He isn’t interested in finding love. Not because he is the typical jerk; but because he had already found whom he believes is the love of his life and tragically lost her. Then he meets River.

The chemistry and connection between River and Jonathan is explosive. Their journey together is one that is fun, sexy and emotionally heart wrenching.
Kelly Collins’ writing flows seamlessly. I am adding her to my favorites list, without a doubt.

I recommend The Dean’s List to everyone that enjoys this genre. You will not be disappointed.

I give this book 5 out 5 stars!

This was my first book by Kelly and I really loved it. I am in love with the older man younger woman type thing anyway. So of course this book is perfect for it. River is just looking to make it through college and pay her bills. She works at a coffee shop now but is barely making it. Her best friend Jade introduces her to a whole new world called The Dean’s List. It’s a very private group that only a select few know about. River can finish up college and have someone help her out … just in return she might also have to return something.

The first “date” River has to go on she meets Jonathan. Right from the first time she likes him a lot more than she should. I also liked Jonathan but it took a little bit of reading before I fully fell in love with him. I knew that River was going to be a game changer for Jonathan especially the more you get to know him. Both River and Jonathan made me mad throughout the book several different times and I wanted to smack both of them. I wish River and Jonathan would have spent a little more time together throughout the book. But the sex between these two is HOT HOT and HOT!!!! I would actually love to read a novella or another book about these two some day!

A revamp of Pretty Women.

River is a college student just trying to get by. Her parents do not think an education is necessary for a women. As a result she works at a coffee house with "themes". But the economy is in shambles and now she can't afford to but food and take the bus to work. So when her best friend offers her a new job, where she would be paired off with "mentors". River is now part of the concierge portion of The Dean's List.

Jonathan has been part of the dean's list for the pass 3 years. Ever since his wife died from cancer. He has not been open to any type of relationship. Until he met River. Now that he has found someone that he truly likes will he be able to keep her despite the age difference, as well as her job with her other mentors.

This book was a little hard for me to get into, but after the first 50 pages or so it was a lot easier for me to read. This book does not just show the glamorous side of prostitution. It also shows the moral problems the women face, as well as the possible physical problems they could fall into. These differences helped me to understand what women go through in order to survive life without family support. Especially when they are desperate to survice. Overall this was a well written story that will keep you enthralled.

Do you know what?
I was pleasantly surprised by this book.

The subject of the book, although in some senses similar to books I've read before, had a whole new twist to it. It's kind of on its own playing field.
In some senses it could be a bit of a taboo topic, "hospitality", age gaps in the relationships.
I love River. She is one of the best female characters I have come across in a while. Her attitude, loyalty, confidence, temperament...everything about her screams out to you to adore her!
Honestly, I didn't know whether I loved Jonathan until the end...up until that point I was a bit meh.
I devored this book in one sitting...it was one of those "just one more chapter" type books. You know what I'm talking about...those ones that have you reading until 3am!
I was pulled in by Kelly's writing style. It's laid back, friendly, witty.
I will definitely be going back to this author for more.

I was super stoked to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I wasn't sure what to expect at first. Young woman, deep in debt, turns to something akin to prostitution in order to get ahead in her chosen career plus be debt free? When we meet River she's working as a bikini barista making crap tips and neck deep in debt. Her friend introduces her to "the Deans List" and she meets several men during her short time with the "company". One in particular captures her heart and soul. This book hasn't released yet so I don't want to delve to deep into this story in the review, but it was definitely a book I enjoyed reading and would recommend to others. It was written well, was very funny at times, I even texted my blog partner regarding a few scenes that made me lol.

Kelly Collins is new to me, I have never read anything from her. I can promise it will NOT be the last time I read one of her books. River is broke, like the kind of broke where you don't know how you are going to eat. She is in College and she is struggling pretty hard, until her friend Jade let's her in on a secret that could change her life, but will it change for the better or will she just be left a shell of her old self, Jonathan is a successful business man with a tragic past. He doesn't have time for relationships after his wife past away years ago.

This book keeps you hooked from the first page, it is just the right amount of hot and story. If this is any indication of the type of book Kelly writes, I will definitely one-click everytime. The Dean's List has left me a fan for life!

I was not expecting this storyline when I read the synopsis but I surely was not disappointed. River adventure with Jonathan, Ben, and Paul was enlightening. They were her mentors in every sense of the word. I do however think the friendship in which they showed her was what gave her back the strength she needed.

Most of all I admired River growth and way Mr. Broom was there to sweep away the hurt, doubt, and negativity. It was only when his past came into play that he let her, me, and everyone else down. It took the fatherly love of Ben and the will to be honest that brought the sunshine back to light.

This is not your conventional love story but it is one that will keep you reading until the end. The Dean's List may be your goal but it takes a special type of person to live up to its standards. Let's just say River was NOT that person.

Received an ARC for an honest review! The Dean's List is full of emotions. You have secrets, misunderstandings, love and heartbreak. If you can name an emotion then it is probably there. River is a young woman that has fallen on hard times. When you are a college student you do what you need to do to make ends meet. River's character is full of love. Johnathan is sexy, wealthy, charming and beside himself after losing who he thought was the love of his life. River and Johnathan have a connection that is electrifying. These two take you on a journey of laughter, heartbreaking moments and it is sexy all at once. This is definitely a book that is worth a one click. Have you ever had a fear that you needed to face and you didn't want to leave your comfort zone?

River is barely surviving, with her options being slim to done, river had to make a decision, that decision would change her life. The dean's list it's not what you think, but to be apart of it makes life easier or at least it did for river til the reality of it sinks in. The dean's list is an elite University group of alumni who get anything they desire, Jonathan was apart of that group seeking companion ship after the death if his wife, but when he and River meet the chemistry is hot. River and Jonathan connect on so many levels, this was truly an amazing story.

This was my first Kelly Collins book and I have since purchased several more, joined her mailing list (to get Paul's story), and pre-ordered Honor Roll (which is Luca's story).

The story is good and I read it in one sitting. The main characters are given backgrounds and circumstances that fill out the story and help you really want to see these two get their HEA. I like the fact that the secondary characters weren't just names in the book and that they were fleshed out enough to be truly likable (or hated). It is not really heavy on the sex scenes and I can't say that they added or detracted from the overall story. Can't wait for the rest of the Dean's List series.

I downloaded this as a freebie. I don't always expect much from a free read but I did enjoy this one. Considering the synopsis, I expected it to be an erotic read but the sex scenes are actually quite tame. It was a predictable read and I did find River and Jonathan's connection a bit too instant but I still enjoyed reading this. I'm glad to see there are two further books about Paul one of River's Mentors and Luca one of her Dean's List colleagues and look forward to reading those. I liked the authors writing style.
