Intimacy the Beginning of Authority

Rate this book
So this is how it all begins. You walk up to the altar one day and you give your life to Christ. You become a citizen of His kingdom, and you begin to learn everything there is to know about this awesome Creator and the amazing love He has for you. Then one day you muster up enough courage to start a conversation with Him. On another day, you take a giant leap of faith and you dare to listen, to hear Him speak back to you. Now you've done it, the thing that 99% of the earth's population will never do: you've entered into dialogue with the living God. This is intimacy and intimacy is the beginning of authority. In this book you will learn: four things about God that will never change, how to reposition your thinking as it relates to heaven, how to pray with authority over your territory. How to forge an eternal friendship with the Living God.

I very much enjoyed reading this book. I learned a lot of new lessons especially about the generational and territorial aspects of God's nature. These were areas where I needed support, and the good Lord delivered abundantly through this wonderful book.
Sparkman makes scripture engaging and easy to understand; meanwhile, important messages hit their mark. Very well written and a joy to read.

This book was reviewed as of a result of a book exchange in soft back version. The book is actually a bible study guide however, it is based on the real life experiences of the author. It focuses on how important it is to be intimate with the Word of God in order to be intimate with God Himself. The book stresses how God protects and leads his own in the wilderness of life. I feel she has a good concept supported with scripture what Catrina wanted to demonstrated throughout the study guide. She speaks of God's territorial and relationship domain and I couldn't agree more how this is often overlooked with so many in the church. She is personable and adeptly speaks well on certain spiritual truths.

While I did not actually do the homework for each of the chapters. Her questions and referenced scripture seem to be on target and informative in doing the research. It is a recommended read for spiritual support in learning God's love working through His Son to achieve the same intimacy.

Catrina and I decided to exchange reviews of our books, and I am glad we did. I enjoy her writing style and her passion. This book is written as a study guide with some thought provoking questions to go deeper into what you have read. I really enjoy the premise of the value and importance of intimacy with Christ as being our foundation for everything in our lives. This book will give you some principles and practical insight into walking into your authority as a believer through the development of a deep relationship with your Savior.

Intimacy the Beginning of Authority is a 6-week Bible study designed to guide readers through a process of seeking God by taking a closer look at his nature. Catrina Sparkman encourages a more intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father than most of us attempt to experience. Through the author's shared experiences and personal journaled thoughts, the reader can explore the deeper realms of God. As Christians, we know about relationship with our Savior, but often overlook the greater depth of relationship possible with our triune God. Sparkman used passages of the Bible that hadn't stood out to me before and brought them into a new light, giving me some fresh perspectives to consider and study further. Her voice throughout is one of a sweet sister in Christ and student of the Word, who has every appearance of living out the guidance she offers.
