A little adventure never hurt anybody. Unless you're the God of war.
Life for a Greek God isn’t as heavenly as one might think. Bored and frustrated, Ares defies his father’s orders and escapes to Earth, where he plans on meeting a few ladies and having a generally good time.
But his idea of pleasure didn’t originally involve his sister, who tags along for some fun of her own. That was a mistake. Because, his sister’s plans involve a different sort of excitement than Ares had in mind. Now, he’s in the fight of his life, desperate to save the entire planet. He can't do it alone.
But he doesn't have to. In a world where superheroes are real, Ares joins forces with two of the best. It doesn't hurt that they're also the hottest women he's ever met, but that's not the point. The point is that even now, he and his team might not be able to stop the impending doom.
This book contains harem elements with sex, action, violence, and great big helpings of pure, unadulterated fun. Listen to it at your own risk.
The entire thing revolves around a neutered, softer, gentler Ares, the literal GOD OF WAR and slaughter. They tried to explain this away, but why use Ares in the first place if you want that sort of character? Just didn't really engage me, but it wasn't terrible otherwise.
I wil be honest. I first read this book with Unlimited and because I enjoyed it, decided to buy it. Heck, liked it so much I managed to read it in one day.
Awesome first book. Really liked Ares and his group. The plot is strange but still willing to follow it.
The only things I did not like was that Ares holding back on not killing. And some small grammar errors across the book.
Of you enjoy Greek mythology and superheroes then you may enjoy this book. It is an interesting story with twists and plenty of action to balance the character and plot development. For adults but not trashy or repetitive.I'm definitely impressed and looking forward to the next book!!!
There were a number of spots that were slow so I can't give full stars. Another star lost to handicapping the God of freaking war. But other than that it was a fun fast read.
Overall I really liked this book. I had some trouble with extra words, and sentences that were arranged funky. I am forward forward to reading next book.
