Excellent story, building more storyline for future books, has me hooked, well I would be after 15 days! Mr Haywood, you need an editorial reviewer, misspellings and syntax problems creeping in.... If you need an unpaid volunteer..... Keep up the good work, appreciate your dedication to self publish and getting your stories out there
I am in love. These books are like greeting an old friend after a long absence but one that just so happens to wield an axe... Amazing fare once again!
I love these books stumbled across them by mistake been glued since day one ,the only reason for the dropped star is the spelling mistakes still ,and the grammatical errors ,it can be a bit annoying other than that gripping ,funny, poignant , good stuff

I really like Lenski's character. She's strong, stubborn and gets things done. She might be young but people respect her and what she does.
The pacing felt a little slower than in the previous books which did make the plot drag a bit at times.
The Infection continued to evolve and learn from the human bodies. It kept throwing more and more difficult situations at Howie and his team.
There were some more hints to how The Infection was created, by who and why. I can't wait to actually get some real answers.
The ending was very emotional and tense. It was obvious that Howie was struggling but I didn't predict just how, or when, he would snap. I'm glad everyone was there to help him. It was interesting to see Marcy make another appearance after being missing but I have a feeling she hasn't returned for good reasons.
I started with The Undead Week 1 and could not stop, as soon as I finished it, I immediately went and got The Undead Week 2. Upon finishing Day 15, I am fixing to start on Day 16. If you haven't read The Undead you are missing out. It's nail biting action, hilariously funny, page turning, addictive, has made me shed a few tears here and there. I love it, and cannot stop turning page after page! RR Haywood has become my current favorite author!
I'm loving this series and all the characters but I'm also feeling like it's starting to drag on. Some of the fight scenes and Mr. Howie tantrums seemed never-ending. I felt like skipping ahead but scared I'd miss something. Then Cookey or Dave would say something funny (thankfully) to bring life back to the story. Hope it picks up in Day Sixteen. Still was a good read, just over detailed.
Good to get additional context regarding the disease/outbreak. Still more questions then answers, but it keeps the intrigue.
I found the change in Howie difficult to read, and therefore this book has been less enjoyable for me than previous in the series. At least the crescendo in the final chapters did partial explain the shift in his personality, creating furthering realism and depth to his character.
Also, is no-one proofreading these yet? The spelling/grammar issue are relentless…
My only negative was this book was considerably a quick read compared to book one and two. Still, there were moments when I would yell at the characters of the book, had tears in my eyes and was completely frustrated with some of the characters. Interesting new characters in this book as well, which has left me eager to start reading book four.
Zombies that learn.. Hmm imagine that. Although this needs an editor, I love the plot and the world and even Mr.Howie. I feel we finally see an emotion we’ve not seen since the second week, and some of the disasters from then. I can never guess what’s coming an that is unique about this series!
I finished the second week compilation in February 2020, and took a break from the Zed word for a while, always intending to come back to Mr. Howie, Dave and the lads... this story did not disappoint and picks right up on the struggle to survive. Hope Howie gets his head right, already have Day 16 ready to start today.
The dynamic between "the gang" is beautifully done. I'd honestly hope the series never ends. My one gripe is that again there doesn't seem to be any proof-reading, even after 15 books. The odd punctuation does take away from the mood sometimes.
4.5*, looking forward to seeing what happens next :)
This whole series has been amazingly awesome!! This is definitely in my top three favorite zom-poc book series. With so many great apocalyptic book series out there it’s always hard to pick a favorite but this is a great one. I don’t have a specific favorite part…it’s a favorite in the whole complete thing.
I love these books, I have been solidly making my way through and every time I think I’d get bored it pulls me back with the brilliant characters and set pieces which make you laugh and cry. Day 16 continues that theme and starts to build on how this started and how it will end.
These Undead books are so good I'm on my 3rd reread right now. I feel like I personally know the characters in the books and I miss them when I'm not reading about them.
I am still enjoying the story line but the means of introducing new characters is tedious, there are two I just dont care about, save me the reading and drop them or get them involved promptly.
Still enjoying this zombie series, but this one didn’t grab me as much, maybe cos the protagonist was a bit of a dick in this book! At least the typos are decreasing!
I'm torn whether to rate this one a 3 or a 4, but I enjoyed it. The main thing that put me off is that they changed the narrator from Dan Morgan to Joe Jameson, and while Joe is not a bad narrator, he obviously does some the voices differently. For the most part, it's not a big deal, but he's made Dave sound really slow and it takes me out of the story every time he speaks.
This series is one of the best zombie stories. You can't help but like all the characters, and worry if their next to be killed! Mr. Howie, Dave, Lani, Cookey, Nick, Clarence...etc. have all been battling zombies since the beginning, which in story time is only about 2-3 weeks. They have formed a strong bond together. This last one had a few funny parts in it too and the author always introduces a few new characters to keep the story interesting. Obviously if I have read this far, it's a good series. I don't know how it will end so I guess I will keep reading and hope maybe there will be a cure!
