A sweet, cozy, small-town holiday romance perfect for snuggling up by the fire with a steaming mug of hot cocoa and a cat or two by your side.
Kristen Woodward has moved back home to run her family Christmas tree farm. Everything is great...except her mother and brother seem to be keeping a secret from her. Not only that, but the new guy across the street, Mason, owns a store that sells artificial trees. Will artificial trees cut into her farm’s Christmas tree sales? Even worse, she has to compete with Mason to win the coveted job of decorating the skating pond.
Mason Hale is just visiting Pinecone Falls for the holidays. His father has opened a new Christmas store in town, and Mason wants to make sure it is a success. This is the happiest he’s seen his father since his mother left him, and he won’t let anything dampen that. Not even the cute girl across the street whose Christmas tree farm might be competition for his father’s artificial trees.
Neither one of them wants to be friends, much less anything more. But fate, two meddling parents, and a mischievous cat have other plans. Kristen and Mason are about to discover the special kind of holiday magic that exists only in Pinecone Falls.
Cozy Hometown Christmas is the second book in the Pinecone Falls Book series by Meredith Summers. This book could definitely be read as a stand-alone book.
Kristen came back to Pinecone Falls to help on the family Christmas tree farm.
There is a new resident, Mason, who moves in across the street and is selling fake, I mean artificial trees.
There is a rivalry that develops between the two as both are competing to get the job of decorating the skating pond.
This is an absolute joyous clean women's fiction story. The characters are well developed and the descriptions of the town during Christmas are beautiful and fun.
Cozy Hometown Christmas is the second book in the Pinecone Falls series. Kristen Woodward moved back home to use her business degree to help run the family Christmas tree farm business after her life fell apart. Her fiance and also her boss, left her for someone else. Things don't go as smoothly as she thought they would when she finally arrives home to find the home across the street from the farm decorated with way too many fake Christmas decorations from the new Christmas shop recently opened in town. She starts a healthy rivalry with the man's son who is in town to help his father set up his business, as she sees the interlopers as a rival business. Tinseltown Christmas Shop is the first thing Mason's dad is excited about after his wife of many years left him for a younger man.
This was a fun women's fiction book that was a clean read and has developed characters and a mischievous cat.
Simple, cute, cozy-small town in VT at Christmas. Of course there’s a Christmas Tree farm involved! Big city people coming to small towns… still a nice escape and a pleasant read.
Hints of romance, but no spice at all. I’ve been surprised by 50 Shades sections in some books so I am proceeding with caution!
It ended quite abruptly without the expected fixes that seemed to be hinted at. It feels unfinished! Will cozy #3 fill in the gaps? Just peaked at the blurb for Book#3 and yes-gaps will be filled. Now I know what I’m reading next!
This was a cozy Christmas story. Full of festive family fun , community activities and just maybe a magical romance. The characters are very friendly, adventures and uplifting and inspiring. This story is more a winter read but how cares it's worth it. A must read that has you wishing for winter weather and put you in a holiday mood. Enjoy
I loved the vibe right from the start. This book has that cozy, warm feel. A happy feeling after I read the end. The characters are likeable and of course the cat George brought some cuteness and smiles to the story. I felt it.
There were too many grammatical and spelling errors (and just plain wrong words in spots too). It seemed unedited, which made it difficult to get through. The story was good, but all the errors made it a cringy experience.
I was excited to read the next in this series and it was such a good blend of old and new characters. I just felt like it ended kind of abruptly. I wanted more, and just felt like the story was kind of unfinished.
Warm and cozy Christmas themed story line. Perfect for snuggling with a cup of hot chocolate by a fire. I absolutely love the cat and his antics in this story. I’m starting book 3 in this series now and can’t wait to see how the challenge of the Christmas tree farm works out.
This book was really very entertaining. It is the first book I've read by Meredith Summers. This book was well-written and well-paced. In my opinion, this book is worth the time to read. If you enjoy Hallmark "happily ever after" type books, you will probably appreciate this one, too.
I love this new series! It’s written well and is an easy read. The story is a sweet romance that takes place in a perfect small town for a Christmas story. I would recommend this to anyone.
I enjoyed this story. It’s about Kristen and her family’s Christmas tree farm and the neighbors across the street. The neighbor has recently moved to the town and started a new business that could be considered competition to her family’s business.
Both families have had hard times and must learn to process those difficulties and move on. I liked how Kirsten was able to reconnect with friends, get along with town folk and found a way to work with the neighbor’s son so each family could thrive. Kirsten’s friend was able to give her a glimpse into how working together could benefit everyone.
This was a clean and uplifting story. I highly recommend it.
I was given an advanced copy and am not required to leave a positive review. I choose to do so.
On my second pass through this book in 2024, I listened to this via Hoopla from my library. I found it enchanting and realized book three follows this story and is set during the same holiday period just days apart.
