Two Feathers: Native Warrior Series

Rate this book
Bliss was only ten when her family’s home was burned to the ground, leaving her frightened and alone. She was taken in by the Choctaw and treated as one of their own, even though she failed at the simplest of tasks. Eight years later, when two white men came into the village to claim her as their relative offering herds of cattle and horses in trade, she did what she thought was best for her Choctaw family. Bliss left her village in hopes she would find herself a better fit in the white world. Before the day was out, she learned the men were not who they said and had no intention of treating her like family. In the end, she was faced with an unforeseeable choice and an unwinnable battle.

Two Feathers was a young Native learning the ways of the Choctaw. However, he was not like the other men in his village who lived off of the land, farming and raising livestock. He enjoyed spilling the blood of the invaders and was absent, fighting, more than he was home. Still, he had fallen for the little white girl who couldn’t farm, couldn’t make baskets, and was generally a failure at native life.

Returning from a battle, he discovered the white men had taken Bliss, the woman with whom he expected to share his life. Her unexpected departure changed everything. Gone were his desires to do anything other than locate the girl; she consumed his every thought and he vowed to bring her back.

Learning that the men had nefarious intentions, only reinforced his resolve.

Will he find her before she makes the dreadful decision she knows must be made?

Will she be able to face her adopted, Native family after all that has happened?

Will Two Feathers’ love be enough to vanquish the horrors she endured at the hands of her own people?

I really have a hard time even giving this book 3 stars. It’s a book full of strife, no full character development/relationship and no getting to atleast enjoy a HEA. There’s no character development for any of the relationships between any of the characters. It’s very choppy. You just know who the person is, but that’s about it. Then you read through pages and pages of unpleasant stuff and don’t get the HEA,if you even call it that until the last page. No epilogue no sequel to even see if they did have a HEA. The storyline had potential, unfortunately that’s the most positive thing I can say.

Fantastic book!!

This book will grip you right off the bat!! This author tells a story that will pull at your heartstrings it's one you won't forget!!! Bliss was taken in by the Choctaw when her families home was burned to the ground. She tried to fit in but she can't seem to do it. Then 2 white men come in and tell the Indians they are her relatives. So Bliss leaves with them. Big mistake.... They are not who they say they are, and Bliss ends up abused and terrified. When Two Feathers comes back he learns she is gone. He will do anything to find her, his true love!! When he finds her can be help her heal from the things she went through? Can his love be enough? Can they find their happiness together? This book is just fantastic and it brought me to tears more than once. I will be getting this in paperback!! It is one book that I will love to re-read. I highly recommend this book!!!!!

Great book worth reading very eye-opening

This is one great historical romance fiction novel that I am glad I took the time to read. It tells a story that needs to be told. It’s kind of like this today we talk like there is so much racism in our country and I agree that there is some but it’s nothing like it was 150 years ago. The racial divide in our country is pretty deep but it’s mainly caused today by the media 150 years ago it was very much real. When I read stories such as these it’s very surreal and it tears the heart out of me at times but it’s also healing. This story may be fiction but it is very similar to the ones that we who are mixed white and native have told around our dinner table and passed throughout our generations for decades, yes, more than a century. I’m glad it had a beautiful ending for many stories such as these did not.

Rubbish, I couldn't even finish it!
There is no depth at all in the characters, the events are narrated so superficially and quickly that I thought I was accidentally reading a synopsis rather than the book itself.
On top of it, many things are unrealistic, completely unbelievable and historically incorrect for this period, so I just gave up.
Is this a book for children/young adults??

An Exciting Story

This book was unlike any Native American tale that I have
read. The book fully explored the feelings of its’ characters
and kept the reader’s attention.I found it to be an exciting
read.

Nice read

I love when a book leaves me wanting to read more of the story but still finishes the story. This book accomplishes that. A very nice tale.

Two Feathers(Native Warrior Series)

This is a good story, which has much suffering, and pain in it ,but also shows how much a man can care for the woman he loves.

Disappointed ending!

It was a very interesting story but it ended abruptly without letting the reader know how much Bliss improved with the help of Two Feather.
