I didn't realise, going in, this book was a short burst, almost an introduction to this series, and that has affected my ratings a little. It DOES says Series One, Episode, Pilot in the header, but I didnt quite compute what that meant. duh me!

I am left a little confused by this book. I really I am! Its good, dont get me wrong, and after reading the bit from the author at the end, I can see whay its only a part of a series, but still, I'm left with questions, lots and lots of questions.

Riot is a Braider, he can braid time. The Gods that forced his mother into a suicide mission are stealing the Braider children and Riot steps up to stop them. What I'm left asking, is, WHY, why are the Gods stealing the children. WHERE is Riot taking them, other than to the dragon. WHAT sort of place do the Braiders come from, since its made clear they are NOT of this dimension/world.

QUESTIONS QUESTIONS QUESTIONS!

And since this is going to come out in little bursts, here's what I'm gonna do. I WILL get them as they come out, but SAVE THEM and read them all in one sitting. OR wait til the entire series is out in one box set. That way, I might get a fuller picture, and a better understanding of the Braiders and the whats, whys and wherefores.

so, for now, 3 stars but I do hope any future books come soon, because although I have questions, I'm also intrigued, and captivated.
