Loved this fast-paced read featuring a daring and dangerous hero who rescues a lonely bank teller from the oblivion of a small town. If you enjoy international suspense, you'll enjoy this novella. Filled with nasty and cunning criminals and caring and courageous friends, the ultimate ending is satisfying and leaves you craving more of this author's writing.

A great little story! Girl lives in the middle of nowhere and a broken heart. Meets a couple of strangers in a bar, one just wants her the other wants her forever. Then enter international intrigue. Will they find forever?

I found the book extremely well written and has a fast paced and active story line. I look forward reading more from Ms. Forand.

A fun suspenseful story. Falling in love is easy when you're caught in the middle of an international kidnapping. Well worth your lunch hour and missing the first few minutes of that afternoon meeting.

Poor Jessica. In the wrong place at the wrong time. Fortunately, this time, she's with the right man. This was a fun, quick read with lots of twists and turns. Well written and with great characters.

Code Red is a short story written by Veronica Forand and was an excellent way to while away an hour or so on a lazy day. This is only the second short I have read by this author, but she has a knack for combining romance and suspense to give the reader an entertaining and compelling story that you just don’t want to put down. You could feel the intensity of the connection between Jessica "Red" and Kieran instantly and the chemistry they shared through simply exchanging glances. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Forand and hope for some stories which give me more than just a few chapters because I would love to get lost in the lives of her characters for a few days as well as more intense suspense which keeps me on the edge of my seat and biting my nails to the end.

This was a fun, swift-read novella with a title that becomes cute/obvious once you start reading this page-turner. This is the second novella I've read by Veronica, and I enjoy her style. The two leads in Code Red start off on the wrong foot, the action picks up almost instantly, and the love story unfolds smoothly. They're both a bit jaded, they don't seem to be a likely match, and yet it all works out to form a love neither expected yet both deserve.
