Valley Ghosts #4

Ghost Shadow: Valley Ghosts Series, Book 6

Rate this book
After waiting to explore Preston Castle, the team is finally ready to go. Jason begins his research on the many paranormal experiences recorded through the years and instantly knows this is not a typical haunting. While watching video footage, he realizes there’s far more lingering around Preston Castle than just ghosts.

Wade’s ability to see and interact with spirits has become something he depends on, but Janice warns him against the shadow people they’ll encounter. He questions whether it’s safe for them to spend time at the old reform school, but if anyone knows how to handle a haunting, it’s Jason. Not this time. The shadows are alive, and intent on harming all who invade their space.

Running Scared Paranormal Research is on the job, but their normal protections may not be enough to save them from what awaits them at Preston Castle.

Paranormal romantic thriller.

Who you gonna call? RSPR!

This was seriously spooky. I’m so glad I didn’t read it at night as I’m sure I would have spent my time alternating between reading and looking over my shoulder for whatever is hiding in the shadows, so it’s doubly good RSPR didn’t need my help. “Whatever we found, we’d deal with it the same as we always did—as a team.” I adored when Wade and Jason moved from friends to soulmates, fluttered when Jimbo took the plunge into love with Dean, but why I keep coming back to this series, and what I really love about it, are the deep friendships these guys have and the wonderfully crazy, eerily outrageous adventures that find them. Each one just a little more intense, each one showing how much they’ve grown as a team and as people, and each one full of amazingly heartfelt and honest moments that are ghoulishly fun and guaranteed to make you smile, even as you hide under the blankets.

It was interesting in the ghost department. It is, so far, the biggest adventure the team has been to. I was missing something in the relationship department, everyone es so well settled with their significant others there was not much to say about them.
I had forgotten how annoying Deidra is, even in little amounts. I'm glad we didn't get much of her here.

The much anticipated and long awaited Ghost Shadow (Valley Ghosts Book 6) is finally here! The Running Scared crew are on their most haunted adventure as they're finally ready to go to Preston Hall. Each member of the Running Scared Paranormal Research crew has grown as a team through through their strengths and weaknesses. Wade and Jason are finally settled into their romantic relationship. Dean and Jimbo are solid and grounded with navigating what it means to be a beacon. A new pair of faces (not so new for fans of another book) pop up and join them on their adventures.

BL Maxwell did a great job teasing us through each of the previous Valley Ghosts with a hint of a bigger, spookier, and more evil adventures at Preston Hall. There's something about a haunted old school with the spirits of children and evil lurking in the shadows that freaks me out. The shadow people pop up and their background is explained in detail. Wonderful series!

Wow wow wow! This latest and possibly last addition to the Valley Ghosts series is definitely the spookiest. Jason, Wade, Dean, and James are joined by newcomers Trey and and his boyfriend James as they set out to explore the depths of Preston Castle. This place has a rather dark history as a boys school where the boys were not treated well. The team runs into something new, shadow people and something else much more deadly and wicked that I won't name. Scary and creepy but wickedly good and a total must read!

Holy moly this was seriously spooky! The Running Scared Paranormal Research Crew of Jason, Wade, James and Wade are joined by Trey and his boyfriend James. They go into Preston Castle to explore. The castle was once a boy’s school but has a history of darkness. This was seriously the spookiest book I’ve read from the author! She did a fantastic job!! The story was really well written, highly recommend! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My review is solely based on my thoughts and opinions.

I loved this book. The Running Scared Crew are back with a few surprises. They are investigating Preston Castle. Ghosts are scary but what awaits them there is far worse. Can the Running Scared crew help the spirits there?

This is the sixth book in the Valley Ghosts series, and it takes them to a job they're not sure they're prepared for. Even though the team's psychic Janis, who is also Jimbo's sister, has told them how to prepare it won't be easy. At first they think they're dealing with restless spirits intent on harming all who enter, but they soon find out there's far more at Preston Castle than they expected.
Trey and James from A Ghost of A Chance also join the team to help, and since Trey has had paranormal experiences his whole life he's not shocked by what they see. But he soon realizes this may be more than the six of them can handle. A Ghost of a Chance
This series is all centered around actual hauntings in and around the Sacramento area, its been a load of fun to write, and I can't wait to add to it.

The Big job finally arrives.

Jason had wanted to explore Preston Castle from the beginning. After watching several videos online, they consult with Jimbo's sister Janice, who warns them against the shadows. This is too much for the four of them.
Jimbo suggests that they recruit another couple that he knows. Even with the new team, the former Reform Schools residents seem to be more than our team can cope with.

There is a greater force at work in this building that stretches the talents of the Running Scared crew, again a brilliant book, loving the whole series.

Even though I wouldn't say I like horror films and ghosts, I adored these books, and they don't make me jump, which is always a bonus. Also, I love the dynamics between the main characters and their friends and family.

The narration was OK, but I did wince at some of the characters performed by Allen Jefferies, especially the female voices.

Thrilling and creepy!
BL Maxwell always has me on edge with this series and Allen Jeffries narrating it is always a recipe for super creepy, shiver-inducing thrills!
This time our Running Scared Paranormal guys need to tackle the infamous Preston Castle, a former prison for young boys, which is said to be super haunted. For as much as they prepare, what they find there is even more frightening and dangerous than they expect!
Another great listen that kept me on edge the whole time!

Enjoyed reading the latest on the cases that RSPR went on. The team grabbed two new member and I loved that they were from another book that I had enjoyed reading and what a difference those team members made. Definitely recommend reading this book and the series.
