Lillian Sauers could wear six layers of clothing and still feel like her embarrassing curves were on display for the world to see…Yet when she’s offered a high-paying job as a model for a famous painter, her need to pay off her student loans outweighs her desire for modesty.
As a world-renowned painter, Jonathan has tasted the fruits of his success by attending the art galas and parties of the country’s elite. However, with his recent success he has felt a tremendous pressure to perform and he worries that he has lost his muse, the creative flare of inspiration that drives him to produce masterpieces. For weeks, he’s haunted by the same dream that prevents him from painting. He desperately needs to find his muse or he will lose all that he has worked so hard to accomplish.
The idea of posing for a stranger is almost too embarrassing for Lillian to imagine. But when she meets Jonathan, she can’t help but notice a certain attraction in his eyes. Will she be able to let go of her inhibitions and let him prove to her how sexy she really is? Or will her insecurities stand in her way of discovering true beauty?

THIS IS VERY POWERFUL BOOK. IT WAS WRITTEN WITH LOVE AND DEEP INSIGHT TO ALL HER CHARACTERS, ESPECIALLY LIL AND JON. AS A ''CHUBBY'' KID GROWING UP I CAN RELATE TO LIL TRYING TO LAYER CLOTHES TO HIDE HER BODY. AS I ENTERED MY TEEN YEARS IT WAS NOT EASY TO FIT INTO THE ''PRETTY GIRL'' IMAGE. WHY SOME GIRLS COULD HANG OUT AT THE LOCAL DINER EATING BURGERS, FRIES, CHERRY COKES AND GOOEY SUNDAES AND NOT GAIN ANY WEIGHT WHILE I MERELY SNIFFED THOSE DELICIOUS SMELLS AND FELT LIKE I HAD GAINED WEIGHT. IT NEVER SEEMED FAIR.
THEN A HANDSOME GUY TOOK AN INTEREST IN ME. WE STARTED HANGING OUT WITH OUR GROUP OF FRIENDS AND EVENTUALLY PAIRED OFF TO BE EXCLUSIVE, GOING ''STEADY''. I MARRIED THAT GUY, HAD 32 YEARS OF MARRIAGE AND 4 KIDS. BUT MY WEIGHT FLUCTUATED A LOT OVER THAT SPAN OF TIME. BUT, THE ONE CONSTANT WAS THAT HE LOVED ME FOR ME AS A PERSON, IN SPITE OF ANY EXCESS WEIGHT.
WHEN LIL'S STEP-FATHER BELITTLED HER AT HOME IT WAS SHEER BULLYING AND HE NEEDED TO BE SHOT DOWN. LIL DID SO AND REALIZED HE WAS JUST A COWARD AND USED HER WEIGHT AS HIS POWER. BULLIES ONLY HAVE POWER IF WE LET THEM. NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO LIKE US OR OUR OPINIONS, BUT THAT'S THE DIVERSITY OF OUR SOCIETY.. TOLERANCE AND ACCEPTANCE... THE PILLARS OF CIVILITY.
I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS NOVEL. I LAUGHED, CRIED, GOT ANGRY AND EMPATHIZED WITH LIL.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING ME ALONG ON LIL AND JON'S JOURNEY. BEAUTY IS DEFINATELY IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER. BUT, WE ALSO NEED TO LOVE OURSELVES FIRST.
Bared to Him: The Bundle is the complete story of Jonathan and Lillian. You can get a taste of the story, part 1, for free on amazon. He is a painter fighting demons from his past causing him to have a creative block. She is a woman fighting present demons as a semi-unwilling model for Jonathan. This contemporary romance is about healing and overcoming insecurities with the love of another person. I enjoyed the story. The characters were very well developed. It was a little slow moving for me, but I really enjoyed the last part where the secondary characters got more involved. I wanted to see Lillian's journey of healing move a little faster, but that's just reality, it happens when it happens, which I came to appreciate. I look forward to reading so much more from Emma Rose.
As always, Emma Rose writes stories that are gripping from the start, have a great story line, and characters that her readers can relate to. Ms. Rose lets her readers experience the journey of her characters right along with them.
Bared to Him: The Bundle is very intriguing, super sexy with lots of emotion. You get romance, attraction, love and pain, forgiveness and hope that all wraps up with a great HEA. More please!
I thoroughly loved Bared to him, I read it within a day, as it was so captivating and I did not want to put it down. Emma has taken a modern day romance from two people with ghosts in their lives and having no outlook in the future, to learning to love not only themselves but also each other. It takes you through the trials of self-esteem and broken heart to becoming whole and able to lay the ghosts to rest. For Lillian it was learning to love herself and her body, after her stepfather always telling her she was fat, ugly or useless, to becoming a muse for the talented artist and shedding all her clothes. Jonathon’s trial was to become the talented artist he was meant to be with Lillian as his muse, after his ex girlfriend had killed herself; she haunted him in his dreams as he blamed himself for her death. Before he met Lillian he had a studio full of blank canvasses and no inspiration, to being inspire and having a full gallery ready to open. There are a lot of trials and tribulations to over come before they get to where they want to be. I would thoroughly encourage anybody to read this book.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
The story is about a woman who has issues with her body because of the way her stepfather brought her up. Lil is self conscious about her body and her self-esteem suffers a lot from this. Then she met an artist who is suffering from block. Jon, the artist, is so entranced by her innocent beauty but Lil doesn't see that because of her insecurities. Together, these two fight both their demons to show their love for each other.
The story is great. Very easy to read. It is also very believable. A lot of women are like Lillian who has issues with their bodies. It shows that sometimes what we see about ourselves is not how others see us. We are all beautiful.
I love how Jon was able to show Lillian how beautiful he really sees her. Through his art he was able to show her both his image of her and his love for her.
This book hit straight to home. Lillian's abusive step father berates her and makes her feel like she is nothing. Alongs comes johnathan and helps guide her to show her that her reflection of self isn't what she thinks. I grew up with an abusive father and reading this reminded me about the importance of a support system. I really enjoyed this read (I finished it in a day) and I hope you will enjoy it ( and the steamy love scenes) as much as I did!
Liked the theme and how the author developed it. The characters were interesting and the feelings and emotion strong. The story deals with insecurities and both characters dealt with their own demons. Kept me interested until the end. First story I read from this author and I liked it.
