Eiríkr has been stopped but his cataclysm remains. There are people all over Southern Elabrium still possessed by wraiths with no cure on hand.
The Elders have told Louie how to find the cure. The only problem is, he has to court death to get it. Gathering a handful of allies, he makes his way into the perilous Dusk Mountains. Whispers of dragons and other, less-enticing creatures mark their footsteps as Louie searches for the only being who can free Elabrium's people.
Meanwhile, the awakened are massing, threatening Maldra herself. Jake and his friends are in charge of the city's defences should Louie fail. Will the cure come in time? Or will Maldra's people get caught in a siege more dire than ever before?
I am breathless, exultant, and sad all at once. This episode was so good and I'm sorry it's the last of the story! (Perhas so far?)
I am not a fan of fluffy fantasy or things that go too far in their dependence on magic for their story. These books were so well balanced in this respect. There was sweetness and romance without desperately ramping it up as central to the movement. There was action that got the heart pumping, you could hear steel on steel and cheer on the strength and determination of the warriors, male and female. There was magic that set the imagination free and caused thrills up and down the spine. Yet the best was the workings of all three together. The camaraderie and relationships blended together within the story so well, between people and their abilities.
The final chapters were so action-packed they had my heart racing. I so love the return of Alex and I love Asher! There's a back story there I'd love to know.
Entertaining conclusion to the series! Louie, Jake, and all of their friends face the threat of the awakened, and they have to learn new tricks along the way (especially Louie, who spent a lot of time learning more about his power.) Definitely a fun read!
In the gripping conclusion to the trilogy, Louie must undertake a dangerous mission into the Dusk Mountains. For there, he must find the cure even if it means battling dragons and death itself. Will he succeed and save the people of Elabrium? Or will Jake and his friends have to sacrifice their lives to ensure the safety of all?
Eternal Bonds is book three in this incredible trilogy filled with action, adventure, magic, high stakes, and teen heroes/heroines. I had high expectations for Eternal Bonds and M. A. Leon exceeded them in epic fashion. The writing is so good with lush narration and flawless world-building, every YA fantasy reader will jump for joy.
I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again, M. A. Leon’s writing reminds me of Tolkien. The huge ensemble cast along with the world-building speaks volumes to how brilliant and immersive Eternal Bonds is. The continuity from book one to this book is without flaw.
Fans of Tolkien and epic medieval fantasy, grab your copy today to start the adventure of a lifetime.
What a whirlwind! Leon takes you to new places you only heard about in the first two books. Trials, puzzles, and twists, there’s a bit of everything. There’s of course love interests without killing the story. So many characters gain new, unexpected skills that really take the magic to a new level.
This book was a thrilling conclusion to the series, I’m kinda sorry it’s over!
