The misogyny & double standards are disgusting, did you know they call the fmc a bitch and a whore? Around 30 times actually & she's only slept with 2 guys while they have slept with multiple people. I can't stand seven, he reminds me of an incel. Honestly wished she would kill herself because there's no redemption for these guys.

Had to read this in a couple of sittings due to muggle life being so rude as to interrupt by book time 🙄

The story follows Rosalie, who is taken to an institution for the criminally insane. At first she can’t understand why but it soon becomes clear. Whilst here her life as she knew it is turned upside down. One guy, Archer, sets his eyes on her, his friend Seven hates her and Jordan, though he has similar traits, is indifferent to her. One guy takes her ♈️, the others also share spicy times with her. O! And there’s also the Pastor who has taken an oath of celibacy buuut…..

The diagnosis, the therapy, the bullying, the back stabbing, the psychosis of the inmates, the hatred and the loneliness within those walls starts to affect Rosalie. Does she succumb to the darkness? Do the guys get their heads out of their a$$es? Will it all come tumbling down?

This was well written, I did feel it dragged a little at the beginning, though the slow burn did eventually pick up and demanded your attention, the angst kept coming Annika’s effective visuals ensures your imagination can build up a whole movie set in your head…that ending though 😱 What is going to happen to Rosalie?

Looking for immediate intensity with Unaliving right there in the forefront

Say being stuck in an asylum and the decisions that plague your thoughts is who should touch me today and do you listen to those thoughts

Could you handle every character diagnosed with something that prevents them from sustaining mental stability and often times resort to erratic methods to cope

Then sit down and get comfy cause you are about to visit BrookHaven Psychiatric Institution

A great story

This is my review of the book BLEED FOR ME by @authorannika

Yo… this book was wild.

Bleed for Me is one of those books where you’re like “okay just one more chapter” and suddenly it’s 3am and your brain is fried. The main girl? A whole mess (in a relatable way). You’re in her head the entire time, and honestly, half the time I couldn’t tell what was real and what wasn’t—but that’s what made it so good??

And let’s talk about the guys…
Archer = walking red flag but somehow hot??
Seven = rude for no reason but I kinda liked it
Jordan = silent but deadly
Pastor Valentine = should be illegal. Period.

It’s dark, twisted, kinda sexy, and def not your typical romance. Like, if you like sweet love stories, run. But if you’re into chaos, obsession, and morally questionable people making even more questionable choices—this is for you.

Lowkey felt like I needed therapy after, but also 10/10 would read again.

This book.....

I don't often find a book that hooks me in from the beginning, can take a chapter or two to start enjoying a book. I dont know what it was about this book but I was sold from the first page. I think if I didn't need to sleep/work I would have finished this in one sitting. The way it ended.... I need the next one ASAP.

I now understand the term "Book Hangover"

BLEED FOR ME
They say I’m crazy, that I’m a danger to society.
I didn’t mean to kill them. At least… I don’t think I did. Then again, my headspace hasn’t been the greatest lately. It’s why they tossed me into an asylum the first chance they got. I thought I’d be safe here, but clearly that was another one of my many unrealistic ideations.

Because no one prepared me for Archer King, Seven Price, Jordan Hayes, or Pastor Valentine.
I’ve somehow become Archer’s latest obsession, and he’s become my new shadow. Seven hates me for reasons I can’t quite understand. Jordan is the silent observer, and perhaps, the scariest of all.
But then there’s our pastor.

There’s something off about him. A darkness clings to him, one that intrigues me more than it should, especially when I see the way his gaze devours me whole.

Everything in me tells me to stay away from them, but I’m far too gone to listen to the pleading angel on my shoulder. Instead, I turn to the devil.

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned…

And I’m about to sin again.

What a ride! Bleed For Me had everything you want in a dark romance, multiple unhinged mmcs plus a fmc that slowly became more unhinged herself.
Rosalie is sent to a psychiatric institute after the death of her sister and stepfather. She doesn't have a clear memory of what happened. She meets Archer, Seven and Jordan and they start to become obsessed with her. She ends up giving into the attraction to them. Soon jealousy rips them apart and Rosalie tries to stay away from them all. After returning from a retreat with the church group, Rosalie walks in to find the director of the asylum asking about an incident that happened in her room while she was away. Story ends on a cliffhanger.

The cliffhanger queen does it again. What an insane ride! Seven and Archer together is hot. Seven takes blood play to a whole new level. Archer is an obsessive puppy. Jordan , oh man is that guy fucked up. Still hot though. Valentine (the priest) hot. I mean so many hot guys. Rosalie, that girl was full of surprises. This is so dark, but I loved every minute of it. I am anxiously waiting to see what happens next and I am thoroughly invested in this series now. If you have been sleeping on Annika's books, why? You guys are missing out!

I will say I don't have a lot of triggers but I wanted to leave a review because I want to let others know going in that one of the guys unalived and graped his pregnant aunt. I think that's a step to far for me. It might not be for others but grape and unaliving of a pregnant person is for me.

Bleed For Me was such an amazing read! There was a lot of description about the asylum and characters, and we got a lot of backstory for everyone as well. All of the characters are so different, their pov’s are very well written and it really gives each of them a completely different feel which i loved! It was dark, twisted, and oh so spicy, with a gripping plot 😍

Rosalie was so interesting to read about and I loved how much it felt like we were in her head. She has gone, and is still going through, so much and it’s obvious the toll it’s taking on her. Right from the beginning I was hooked on her story, and all the plot twists and details that emerge about her & her life just made her even more interesting to read about. Her character development was great and she really became even more strong and confident by the end ❤️ The way she changes so much while in there really adds to her story and shows how much the trauma she went through has affected her. She definitely wasn’t expecting to meet Archer, Seven, Jordan, & Valentine, or feel the things she did about them, but the chemistry was undeniable 🔥 They helped her come into her own and learn new things about herself, and she sure wasn’t afraid to stand up to them or be sassy, even if it did make her a little nervous!

Archer, Seven, & Jordan, even Valentine, are all so unhinged and twisted, not to mention hot, hot, hot, and I absolutely loved all of them 😍 They each had such different personalities and thoughts about Rosalie, and the way they interacted with her. Protecting, obsessing, plotting death, and lusting, they each had their own feelings towards her and it made for a very dynamic, engaging plot, and unique situations with Rosalie. These men are totally insane, especially one of them who does some shady, questionable things towards the end, that created a cliffhanger that is going to eat me alive until the next book comes out!! Learning about the guys’ pasts and why they’re in the asylum was super intriguing, and gave their characters a lot of depth. It also let you in on just how unhinged they are 🖤 They were all pulled to Rosalie and though they tried to fight it, well, the majority them, it was clear how they felt about her. Even if one wants to act out and try to deny the pull he feels, it’s still there!… I think. One of them couldn’t get enough of her though, and the tension and build up he created was something else 🥵

This book was so good and had an extremely gripping plot, with such great characters. The depth they all have, the chemistry between them, the banter & spice, I ate it all up ❤️ The twists & turns that happened had me hooked, and the scheming from some of the characters had me on edge, wondering what they were going to do. I knew something was coming, but the end still took me way by surprise!! This was a great read and I will be eagerly waiting for book two to come out so I can find out what happens next 🖤

Thoughts:
You would not regret the time spent on this exciting and steamy dark romance, from a highly acclaimed indie author, in the reverse harem dark romance genre.

Annika’s depiction of the psychiatric conditions for the mentally ill young offenders were in parts horrifying but also quite detailed in terms of symptoms, behaviours and conditions lived in. She does not shy away from gruesome past flashbacks of the things that got them incarcerated, while giving insight into the thought process that they dealt with due to some of their conditions.

Her very accurately depicted characters, while dealing with tough mental health symptoms, were still quite likeable, passionate and deserving of love. It made you hope they found love and support in each other during a tough incarceration due to symptoms beyond their control. The plot is exciting and fairly high paced, and some doctors and administrators are set up as a big bad that has been exploiting their patients. It is quite steamy and intimate scenes were well paced and passionate.

You will be titillated by this horrific dark romance and equally turned on by all of the high spice and occasional group scenes. For readers that love a whole list of trigger warnings in their reading, this is the book for you. This ends on a cliffhanger and I am holding my breath for the next instalment of this trilogy.

🛑Please read all the author warnings as themes and events depicted in this book could be triggering. They include, but are not limited to: light bullying, other women drama, dubious consent, morally black characters, mentions of abuse, why choose, light degradation, negligent parent, cheating, emotional torment, mental illnesses, depression, psychosis, paranoia, hemophagia, obsession, light stalking, slut shaming, enemies to lovers, asylum, death of a child, murdering an animal, blood play, knife play, MM, graphic violent flashbacks, PTSD, relationship with a pastor and cliffhanger ending. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Jesus Christ, Holy Shit! Annika Nofal has done it again—written an absolutely amazing and compelling book that completely destroyed me. I can’t get enough of her writing. I had the chance to read Bleed for Me, and it absolutely fucking delivered. From the very first page, it was intense—so gripping that I couldn’t put it down. I tore through it in just two days (while at work), and now I desperately want more. She’s the only author who has pulled me out of a reading funk—not once, but twice.

This story weaves together the lives of several deeply developed characters, each pulling me through a whirlwind of emotions. I found myself liking them, then outright hating most of them, only to unexpectedly start rooting for a few. Some I couldn’t help but love to hate, and that complexity made every twist land with even more impact.

One of the most frustrating for me—and addictive—characters is Archer. I loved this character so much I literally cried towards the end of this book. Don’t get me started on Seven that fucker had me audibly screaming what the fuck multiple times though out this book. Jordan’s a sexy scary babe. Literally says the funniest shit that I’m not even 100% sure is supposed to be that funny or if I’m just as equally as fucked in the head as these characters. I’m also totally loving Valentine as Well.

And that ending? Devastating. I need a sequel immediately because I’m nowhere near ready to let this story go. Honestly, I have no idea how I’m supposed to start another book after this—it left me craving so much more.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again—Annika Nofal’s writing is powerful. It’s intense in the best way possible while still being effortless to follow. This definitely won’t be the last book of hers I pick up. She has a way of pushing her characters to their limits, giving them just enough relief to catch their breath before plunging them right back into chaos. I felt everything alongside them—heartbreak, rage, fear, and hope—and I can’t wait to see where she takes us next.

Bleed for Me is a dark romance set in a mental health facility, and it doesn’t hold back when portraying the harsh realities of mental illness and trauma. It delves into the breaking points of the human mind—showing what happens when someone is pushed to their absolute limit. I can’t say much more without giving anything away, but trust me—this is one book you’ll want to experience without any spoilers.

I really liked this one. It took me a little why to get the characters and what they had done into my head. At one point I did sit with my kindle in one and phone in the other. The phone was just so I could sit on the group therapy introduction page.

I liked Rosalie, I felt so sorry for her when she found out what she had done and then to find out that Alex had been lying to her but to be honest part of me didn't like him from the start and Ava just confirmed why. I also don't like the fact that her mum has checked out on her. I get that Daisy was her baby but so is Rosie and she's needs her mum now more than ever.

Out of the 3 I think that Jordon is my favourite. I get that out of them all his crimes are the worse but I liked that even though he kept saying he didn't like Rosie he was still willing to help her. He stayed with her after the thing with Seven in the woods, he let her sleep in his bed when she told him about the voices.

When we first met Archer and Seven I did actually like them I even thought they were kinda cute together. I even liked that they had stuck up for Rosie when Alex visited but by the end they both annoyed me a little. I didn't like the way they treated her. In a way I did get Seven's POV on it as Archer was his first but given that he saved her in the wood and was her first I thought he would have been a little nicer. Archer just annoyed me from around when they found that Seven had destroyed her room and Daisy bear. I just got the impression he had gone cold on her and then for him to go off with that other girl at the retreat that was the final straw for me.

I liked Pastor Valentine and I really hope we get more of him losing his way in the next instalment. I 100% get why he feels that way towards Jordon but at the same time the fact that Jordon is in an asylum and Valentine is a man of the cloth I would have thought that he would be a little forgiving.

I have a feeling that those 2 are going to end up working together to help clear Rosie's name.

This book follows the FMC Rosalie who was sent to Brookhaven Psychiatric Institution. She was unsure at first why she was sent there but then it becomes clear. Then we have the MMC's Archer, Seven, Jordan, who are also diagnosed with various disorders. They all set their eyes on Rosalie, even though Seven hates Rosalie. And then we have Pastor Valentine who is also intrigued by Rosalie.

This book had such well-developed characters, each with different lives and backstories. This book accurately described the life in a psychiatric institution and the harsh realities of all the characters having different diagnosis's. There was such character growth in Rosalie, as she started off being a girl who kept to herself and never bothered anyone, to becoming more confident and she came out of her shell towards the end of the book. There is also bullying that happens between the side characters and Rosalie, which completely adds to the story and what she's been through.

The three guys are fascinated by her. Archer becomes obsessed with her, Seven hates her, and Jordan tries to protect her. The plot was quite engaging and each of the characters brought different, but intense emotions to the story. There's also a love/hate story between Archer and Seven which kept me entertained. The spice between the three guys and Rosalie was incredible but twisted.

I loved this book and I think it was written really well, with a lot of world building to set the scene of the psychiatric institution. The tension between the characters was captivating and the spice was steamy. This also ends on a cliffhanger. And the way the final chapter was written, I didn't really predict the cliffhanger to be how it was.

I wish there were more chapters about Pastor Valentine, unless that's going to happen in the next book. I feel like I hardly got to know who the Pastor really was, but only just snippets here and there. But overall, I really enjoyed this book.

Annika Nofal just dropped “Bleed For Me”, and...Holy. F*cking. Hell. Where do I even begin?! This was my first experience with Annika’s books, and let me tell you, I'm officially a convert. And I'm already counting down the seconds for book two after THAT cliffhanger. 🤯

Basically, we're thrown into this asylum with a group of characters that are...let's just say, unique. You've got Seven, the blood-lusting psycho, Archer the obsessive stalker, and Jordan who...well, you'll have to read to learn about him. He’s my fave by the way, which has me questioning my own sanity as well lmao. I really don’t know who’s more unhinged out of the three.

Then there's Rosalie, who seems like the sweet, innocent one, but trust me, she's not! She might be more fucked up than all of them…for good reason though, she definitely gets a pass for the shit she went through to land herself in the asylum in the first place. That place quickly turns her from innocent to NAUGHTY though . Like really naughty! Let’s just say she’s making up for lost time as a virgin.

Which brings us to the spice level of this book. 🌶️ It's a goddamn inferno. Annika threw in some MM scenes that had me sweating like I was running a marathon in hell. 🥵 Seriously, this is my first time reading anything like that, and damn. Just...damn. And then she goes and turns that MM into an MFM situation, and let's just say she had my full attention. Like, cancel all my plans, lock the door, and don't bother me invested. There was A LOT, and I couldn't get enough. Trust me, you're gonna need a cold shower after this one.

This book is a wild ride and I devoured it. Now I'm left screaming for answers, especially after that ending! I need book two NOW! If you like your romance dark, twisted, and hotter than hell, “Bleed For Me” is your next read. Just be prepared to question your sanity. Check your Triggers with this one.

Before thinking of reading this book, please check trigger warnings. This one was dark. The listed triggers aren't enjoying around. I read a lot and this one was dark for me.

Waking up chained to a hospital bed, FMC Rosalie has mixed up memories of what happened to get her there. She's transferred to an asylum where her memories come back slowly in dreams. She meets the other patients in group therapy and she is introduced to Seven, Archer and Jordan. These guys are pretty messed up, but pretty to look at. They're also obsessive and cruel and Rosalie is attracted to them, even though she knows it's not a healthy place to be. Seeking some relief, she retreats to church, a place that she's always felt welcomed and comforted. She meets the pastor, Valentine and feels immediately connected to him as well.

Caught in the middle of feelings that are new to her, Rosalie begins to seek the company of all the guys, who are unkind and who she treats not so nicely in return. This whole book is ANGSTY. There is a lot of anger and obsession and it's rough to read because there's not a lot of break from it all, but that being said, there is also glimmers of the people underneath who could be kind or caring. There's a cliffhanger and it leaves you gasping. I will definitely need o read the next one, I have to see how it ends!

I received an advance copy of this book in return for my honest opinion.

⭐️ This is the book I wish I was you about to read this for the first time. Seven is the most unhinged MMC I have ever had the pleasure to read. But then there’s Archer who is just a smidgen less deranged! The scene in the woods with Seven and Rosalie you will definitely reread because it is nothing like you have ever read before.
🩸 Content Warnings: DO NOT take these lightly. This is the darkest book I have read and the warnings are there for you to protect your mental health!
😈 Along with Seven and Archer there is Jordan. Now he is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. They are almost cult like in the way they act together. They protect each other and in their own “special way” (oh God I wish I could tell you) they love each other. 😂 🤭 They are not related by 🩸 but you will feel the brotherly love!
🧒 👹 Are you ready? Rosalie is the FMC but there are girls in Bleed for Me that I wish the author would do a background story for. Evil lives in technicolor at the asylum and it’s The Alina and Rachel Show!
🤫 As usual, with Annikas books she will keep all her best secrets until the last two chapters! She gives little teasers throughout the book but I promise you will never guess what’s to come.
🖤 I have read everything Annika has written but this one surpassed my expectations. There is a new Queen of Dark Romance and her name is Annika Nofal.

Wow, just wow! I just finished this book, and I’m still reeling from that cliffhanger! Annika has truly outdone herself with this one. The characters are so well-crafted that they feel like real people, each bringing their own unique complexities to the table.

Rosalie is a fantastic protagonist. She’s been through so much trauma, and it just keeps piling on. It’s hard not to feel for her as she navigates these intense situations with the guys in her life. Then there’s Archer, Seven, and Jordan—talk about a trio of hot, complicated messes! They’ve got those dark, edgy vibes, but each of them has a spark of redemption that keeps you intrigued, even when you’re tempted to scream at them. Seriously, there are moments when I wished they would just jump off a cliff, but then they’d do something that made me rethink my feelings.

And let’s not forget Valentine! I won’t spoil anything, but that twist took me completely by surprise. It’s one of those moments that makes you sit up and go, “Wow, I didn’t see that coming!”

Overall, this book is a wild ride filled with twists and turns that keep you wanting more. If you enjoy characters that are messier than life and a plot that leaves you gasping, you definitely need to grab this one. I’m already counting down the days until the next installment comes out!

Rosalie Swanson is a good church going girl who downright will do anything for her little sister. She tends college. Until one night she has to defend herself against her stepfather, leaving him and her sister dead while she is thrown in Brookhaven Psychiatric Institution where she is thrown in the mix of Jordan Hayes, Seven Price, Archer King and Pastor Valentine. Three of them have dark pasts of their own that landed them there. Then the Pastor who is complicated in his own way. Rosalie just wants to try and survive her time in the asylum, but between an obsessive man, a silent observer, one that just downright wants her dead, and one that wars with himself on doing the right thin or saying screw it all. Rosalie has definitely been through the ringer with these four boys. If you want to find out more you will have to just read the book yourself. I cant wait to find out more.

Just the little note at the beginning caught my eye on this read and I'm already excited to read more. It has all the darkness I was expecting. It has the angst, the spice and trauma one coild only ask for. Annika really came full force with this and had me feeling all types of things I can't even begin to calculate them. One shouldn't feel all the feelings at once, and I'm all here for it.

Bleed For Me ( Asylum Of Horrors Book 1 ) Hooked from page one , devouring every single word at an ungodly pace , utterly speechless, screaming outta pure frustration, feeling like my heart was beating right out of my chest and then bam breaking the next !!! In all honesty no words can even start to describe the crazy and wild ride I was just taken on . What I can say is that Bleed For Me is simply one of the best books I’ve read this year and that it’s not often I come across a book / beginning of a new series that has the ability to hook me up with, to make me feel as many different emotions as Annika Nofals books do every single time I pick them up . Bleed For Me is no different!!!!! It’s intriguing and suspenseful, dark , raw and gritty , extremely suspenseful, filled with so many twists and turns, 4 morally gray obsessive , possessive and protective MMH each so different but non the less captivating, a heroine you cannot help but fall in love with and much much more . Just read it , because really no words can possibly even start to do it enough justice . I’ll tell you one thing though ( you better make sure that you don’t have any plans because once you start it’s almost impossible to put it down .

Then we have the MMC's Archer, Seven, Jordan, who are also diagnosed with various disorders. They all set their eyes on Rosalie, even though Seven hates Rosalie. And then we have Pastor Valentine who is also intrigued by Rosalie.

The diagnosis, the therapy, the bullying, the back stabbing, the psychosis of the inmates, the hatred and the loneliness within those walls starts to affect Rosalie.
What should she do when your mind plays tricks on you?

I loved this book and I think it was written really well, with a lot of world building to set the scene of the psychiatric institution. The tension between the characters was captivating and the spice was steamy. This also ends on a cliffhanger. And the way the final chapter was written, I didn't really predict the cliffhanger to be how it was.

Wow that was too short! What a cliffhanger! Poor Rosalie. So Rosalie is the main character and something terrible and traumatic happens that gets her put away in a psychiatric facility. This is where she runs into the bad boys of the facility which are Archer, Seven, and Jordan. Archer becomes obsessed right away bit him and Seven are kinda an item so Seven gets jealous and tells her to back off but then goes and hooks up with her and still gets mad that she’s still hooking up with Archer. Jordan has an interest in her, but doesn’t really let it be known. They have a bit in common though and she ends up in his bed eventually anyways. These characters are not sane and they’re most def unhinged. Then we’ve got Valentine who’s the pastor of the facility and he’s attracted to Rosalie too. He almost gives into his desires one night when she finds him in his office drunk and alone, but he stops himself because of the oath he made to stay celibate. He starts drinking more because of this though. I can’t wait to see where that goes, i personally think he’s gonna break that oath for her but we’ll see. Archer really pissed me off at the end of this book. I didn’t realize this was going to be a series but I can’t wait till the next book is done!:)

We all fall down.

A really very dark book. It's important read the CW. But, for me, was so delicious twisted.
RH (ish :)) YA (the majority), with MM.
OK, I LOVED the book, REALY LOVED, but that cliffhanger? Let me tell you something, That? That is so heartbroken... And now I NEED to know what gone happen!
I just want to go inside the book and give the girl a big hug. Our FMC does not have an easy life. It's one thing after another, like the world united to make her "life" unbearable. Breaking news: she already feels that way!
The MMCs are so annoying. I understand that they are in a psychiatric clinic, but seriously? Can't they get the broom handle out? Hmm? How about stop being such fools? They made me grind my teeth so much.
A slow to medium-burn, with moments very steam.
The story makes us think about how human beings like to easily judge what is right and wrong, forgetting that we all have "glass ceilings". No one is born bad. Some are born with conditions that make them a danger to the society as they grow up, but others are faced with "twists and turns" in life, making it nearly impossible not to crash or fall off the side of the road.

Rosalie is a quiet, religious college girl stuck in a home with alcoholic mother and stepfather, just doing her best to protect her little sister from her abusive step dad. However, one unfortunate night, she's forced to defend herself, leaving her stepfather and little sister dead and is placed in an asylum. Forced to confront the truths from that night, Rosalie explores her own psyche as well as those of her fellow inmates. Namely, Archer, Seven, and Jordan, whose attention she has piqued upon her arrival.
Seeking familiarity and comfort, she joins Church classes with Pastor Valentine, a deeply troubled man with his own past and vices. .

This story weaves a complex storyline along with characters with real depth and quite disturbing psychopathology that Rosalie has to balance and navigate. The story itself ends on a cliffhanger, and I don't think we see the tortured sexy AF Pastor Valentine coming into his own yet . . .that will be a delight when he finally gives into temptation . . .

I would absolutely read the second book when released as I'm totally hooked on the 3 MMCs dynamic and how Rosalie's mental health fairs!

Rosalie is the sweetest my timid girl. She goes to college and comes home on the weekend to a household of pain. She loves her sister Daisy and is he protector. Rosalie’s boyfriend goes to church with her and they are waiting to get married to “be” together.
When home from college it goes south. An abusive step-dad, alcohol, and knives don’t mix.

When Rosalie is sent to Brookhaven Asylum is when her world really is turned upside down on top of the life she had on the outside and is having to mourn. When she gets to the asylum it gets out of control or maybe she realizes what she truly needs to do or who she truly is. This was a roller coaster of a rider. I wanted to throw my kindle through the wall, scream and cuss Annika and ask why?
Annika wrote such a page Turing book that I had to see where it went and it did not disappoint me at all.
Each of the boys have their own demons and have each other, but when Rosalie steps in and shakes things up things get really messy. Let’s not even talk about the fact that the cliffhanger had me yelling!!
Great characters and growth. Story was on point and just kept getting better and better.
