About the author

Abigail Roux was born and raised in North Carolina. A past volleyball star who specializes in sarcasm and painful historical accuracy, she currently spends her time coaching high school volleyball and investigating the mysteries of single motherhood. Any spare time is spent living and dying with every Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers game of the year. Abigail has a daughter, Little Roux, who is the light of her life, a boxer, four rescued cats who play an ongoing live-action variation of 'Call of Duty' throughout the house, a certifiable extended family down the road, and a cast of thousands in her head.

“Who’s winning?” Kelly asked.
"Tied. Tenth inning. Top with one out," Nick rattled off.
Kelly nodded as if he understood the gravity of the situation, and he peeled his T-shirt off and tossed it toward the couch at Nick's side.
"Fuck!" Nick shouted.
"What? I'll pick it up later."
"Strike out," Nick grumbled. He glanced at Kelly again, his eyes drifting up and down before returning to his game. "You're high and horny, aren't you?"
"Little bit. Am I that obvious?"
"Pretty much." He waved at the television and began shouting. "It's a motherfucking slider you fucker, even I can see it coming and you get paid for this bullshit! Dumbass."

A fun and very short number that put a goofy smile on my face.

It's hard to give a rating to such a short story.

Just like Dine & Dash and Shake & Bake, this very short story is just a little bit of extra fluff and smut between Nick and Kelly.

These are my thoughts while reading:

Nick stared, mouth hanging open, eyes betraying the inner conflict. Then the telltale sounds of the baseball game returned behind Kelly, and Nick’s eyes strayed to peer over his shoulder.
“Oh my God!” Kelly shouted again.
Hahahaha I forgot how funny nick are Kelly are! Haha Im literally chuckling to myself haha

Nick pressed his lips to Kelly’s neck, kissing up to his ear. He whispered into Kelly’s ear. “I promise you’ll always get fucked with one hundred percent of my attention. Even if it means it comes after the game.”
Hahaha poor Kelly – though he doesn’t seem to be getting a bad deal n all fairness! and aww that was cute nick! <3

A nice little free shot of more kelly and nick! :D I really enjoyed it - hopefully Ill get round to Cross and Crown soon enough :) Its alot higher up on my list now :D

Buahaha! This is a hilarious little scene that goes on across America during baseball season when the home team plays their rivals. Kelly tries to temp Nick away from a Yanks/Sox game in extra innings. This was just fun, flirty and hot. Thanks for the extra scene, Abigail Roux!

What we have here is a short ficlet about Nick, who's trying to watch a baseball game, and Kelly, who's trying to seduce Nick, without success. Nick, dude? Are you insane?! O.o

It was sweet and all, but too much build-up, too little action–and I mean like a few lines at the end. Meh.

I don't get the appeal of baseball - seriously, could they do something to liven it up like put some hurdles between the bases or a "shot clock" on the pitcher, please? - but if I apply that kind of single-minded fanaticism to another sport...say football, then it makes sense.
