This story got off to a shaky start, and was largely reminiscent of my college years what with a guy picking a pretty girl up in a bar, luring her back to his place to discuss ‘business’, and then they bump uglies shortly thereafter. It’s a novella, so the author needed to efficiently establish a rapport between the two characters; however Cait & Owen’s connection came off as more one night stand-ish as opposed to ETERNAL MATES. That only lasted a couple of chapters though, and then the plot took over for the better.

After this series’ three book long feline shifters centric sprint, I was interested in seeing how Felicity Heaton’s hellcats would distinguish themselves from the pride. That question was soon answered with two tails, a few very special breed quirks, and some hell fire in all the right places. Cait was a fascinating character who speedily won me over to her plight with good old fashioned girl power, and her sword wielding, and decapitation skills appealed to the Urban Fantasy reader in me.

Owen was the first mortal hero to make an appearance in the ETERNAL MATES universe which was a nice change of pace; his infamous rep as a hunter gave him sizeable street cred, and that secret of his that’s referenced in the blurb was pretty darned bitchin’. I enjoyed witnessing him work his magic on Cait’s job from vetting sources, to his vast supernatural database, and hunch regarding Marrius’ real motives, although I was disappointed when he started using his little head more than his big one.

This story didn’t set out in the direction that I had envisaged, and in turn ended up going above and beyond the ‘get this wackadoo off my tail’ schtick. I eventually bought into Owen & Cait’s relationship after the initial frat boy hook-up wore off, and the sex hit the spot just so long as I didn’t think too hard about how it came to be. The glance at Heaton’s dragons revved me up for the next novel, and I liked that the conclusion made partners out of this duo in more ways than one. Couples that kill together stay together!

BITTEN BY A HELLCAT wasn’t purrfect, but sometimes a belly rub is all you need. ~3.5 stars

Man Felicity Heaton is writing some spectacular books! I've loved this series since book 1 and this book held true! A hunter and a hellcat!!! How could that not be awesome!
Owen comes from a long line of hunters. He's notorious for always catching his prey and he has Cait in his sights! She's a sexy tough as nails Hellcat!
Cait needs Owens help! What she doesn't expect is falling for Owen.
While they are hunting a crazy male Hellcat something crazy happens and they fall head over tails for each other!

Heaton's writing is always superb! Once you start you can't stop until it's done! I would recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a smoking paranormal romance book!
I am anxiously awaiting the next book!

I've been a fan of Felicity Heaton for a few years now, so I know she can pack a punch with a novella sized story. But I would have liked Bitten by a Hellcat to be a little longer so that Cait and Owen's relationship to develop at a slower pace. It was a little to insta-love for me, the plot wrapped up too fast and neatly but there was enough heat between the pages to keep me warm while I read it in one sitting.

A notable change that Bitten by a Hellcat brings to the Eternal Mates series is that the hero is the mortal and the heroine is the supe. Owen is a supe hunter and Cait is a hellcat in need of help from Owen.

I've only read one other story with a hellcat and it was nothing like Heaton's version of a hellcat. Picture a black jaguar with two tails and blue flames. So while the romance and plot were a little too fast and lacking depth like earlier books in the series I can get on board with new and exotic supernaturals. It gets a little boring reading about the vampires and werewolves all the time.

Not only was Heaton's hellcat enjoyable but getting a look into her version of a dragon was a well. I can't wait to read the next book in the Eternal Mates series, Taken by a Dragon. I've been waiting for that story after a dragon grabs up a woman in the middle of the battle between the Third and Fifth realm of the demons in book 2.

Owen Nightengale is a mercenary with a closely guarded secret but when a beautiful rare shifter lands in a spot of trouble, he’ll risk everything including exposing his secret to save her in this bewitching paranormal romance.

A male hellcat has set his sights on claiming Cait as his own but she has no intention of letting that happen and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as Owen and Cait fall under each others spell. These strong compelling characters bewitch readers with their combustible chemistry that leaps off the pages and singes the readers with a fiery hot inferno of passion and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on the edge with lots of suspense, action and romance.

Excitement grabs readers by the hair and takes them right along with Owen and Cait as they go after the male hellcat only for a reckless moment to send Owen and Cait right into danger’s hands…a moment that will seal their fate forever. Vivid imagery captures the imagination and ensures that the reader becomes part of the story as magic and sparks fly in every direction keeping the reader on their toes and wondering what will happen next.

There is never a dull moment as the author throws in a few surprising twist and once again, Felicity Heaton introduces new intriguing and unique characters and interesting elements to her fascinating world and continues to enthrall me because there was no way I could put this story down until I had read every last word and of course I can’t wait to read the next spellbinding tale.

Felicity Heaton... you have made my day! I am so excited to head into the dragon shifter world now... :) Big surprise in this one for fans of the series! Nope, not gonna' tell... but I am giggly excited about it!
Cait is one delectable hellcat and unfortunately she's lured the attention of an unwanted male. She happens upon Owen in a bar after a slim getaway and she hires him to help rid her of this pesky stalker. It doesn't take long for them to realize that their attraction to each other is definitely more than physical. It didn't seem like a match that would be able to work at first with Owen being human, but... he had a few surprises and so did she. They both got a little more than they bargained for in this relationship but by the end I don't think anyone was complaining.
As with all of Felicity's books you get a story that is edgy, action packed, steamy and full of a little surprises. Add to that some very creative characters and there is always something to look forward to in future installments.
This book definitely sets the stage for the future and it's always nice to see a guest appearance or two of some of our favorite characters in the series. Can we just make it a mandatory requirement that Bleu makes an appearance in all of the books?? Yep, I always like it when he shows up.
The book I've been really, really waiting for is up next! Taken by a Dragon Can't wait...

Bitten by a Hellcat is book six in the Eternal Mates series. This one can be read as a stand alone.

As books go in a series this one is my least favorite. Which is sad, but their is bound to be one that does not fit or work for someone. Bitten by a Hellcat just did not have that same great feel as the other previous installments.

Owen is a Hunter, mercenary, and has some shocking secrets. Cait is a Hellcat, which is something new that we have not yet seen. She is strong and a fighter. These two are attracted to each other from the get go. What got to me is their is no prior relationship between them, which made everything feel rushed and the sex came off as a one-nighter. I did not enjoy the couple falling into be so fast. I never really felt the lust bloom into that eternal love. We do get some great action-packed moments and fans of the series will love that our Bleu makes an appearance, thou it is small, we see a glimpse of who his intended will be. It’s always fun when the author pulls characters back into the story.

Bitten by a Hellcat was still a good read in the series. Not my favorite, but I am looking forward to more great books in the Eternal Mates series. I love this series and If you have not picked it up yet, you must.

I love this series, each book has a new mate match and the stories are always full of action, attraction and eventually love.

This book was good, but didn't quite match up to some previous books, but is still a great read full of everything you expect from a felicity heaton book.

I really liked Owen and Cait was a good character too. Cait is trying to escape another hell cat and Owen is the man to help her. There's secrets, mistakes and passion.

This is an easy to read book and I'm sure the hint about next book will get you excited :)

I am a huge fan of this authors work and love her imaginative stories about Eternal Mates but confess I was a little unsure what I would think about this particular book. Why? Well the hero is Owen a human and I'm sorry but I do enjoy reading about the immortals who usually dominate these stories. The author has paired him up with Cait a Hellcat who is on the run from a particularly nasty male Hellcat. Owen is a hunter and the last of his family but he is far more than he seems at first. Yes he may be a human working as a mercenary tracker in the supernatural world but Owen has more than a few tricks up his sleeve! Cait may have asked him to help her find the one determined to capture her but once alone with him all Cait wants is to keep him close , very close indeed ! Passion explodes between them but the danger is still out there. Owen has a job to do but the real danger is much closer than he realises and he's about to discover just what a Hellcat is capable of!
This did feel quite short compared to other stories in this series and consequently it shows in the storyline. This couple hook up very quickly and I struggled to be convinced as after all this series is about Eternal Mates and in previous books that point has been emphasised. I personally enjoy the chase and missed the snark and humour that often accompanies that trope. That being said once the story got underway the passion they shared enabled the author to fully explore just what being a Hellcat really entails ( no pun intended!). Speaking of tails the description given of Cait when she transforms into her beast form is amazing . I loved that we finally got to learn just how special this fearsome breed are and trust me Cait is a tough gal no matter what form she wears. Fear not though as Owen is a worthy hero and not just token beefcake. He is a man who never takes his mission lightly and I thought it so funny that he kept a data base of Supernaturals ! Owen is one who thinks on his feet and I do enjoy reading about intelligent characters. And the piece de resistance ? This couple fight to the end and they fight together!
So overall I did enjoy this story and we even get a tiny glimpse of the Elf Bleu, hurray! I loved seeing a Dragon show up and can't wait for the author to reveal more. The action certainly heats up towards the end and although I had misgivings initially the ending won me over. As usual it's well written and happily a delight to read. It's not my favourite but I thought Owen and Cait both deserved their happy ending. I'm so looking forward to see what Ms Heaton has instore for us next and recommend this book to those who enjoy a story that definitely contains heat!

This is the 6th book in the Eternal Mates series. I am completely invested in this series. I have enjoyed each of the books I have read so far and this installment was no different.

In the previous books the heroes were immortal, however, for this title, the author took a different approach. This time the hero is a mortal. I like that she decided to shake things up a bit and I was curious to see how it would pan out.

Owen Nightingale, although a mortal is a feared hunter in the immortal realm. He is the last of his bloodline. He is harbouring a secret which led to him being a loner. He is not willing to disclose this secret as it could lead to his destruction. Even so, he is willing to risk it all to protect a beautiful and rare hellcat shifter.

Cait, a hellcat shifter has found herself in the crosshairs of a male hellcat shifter. His intentions towards her is nefarious. Cait is aware of the danger she faces and was glad to find her saviour in the most feared hunter this side of the immortal realm.
The chemistry between these two is combustible and if not careful readers could find themselves caught up in this raging inferno of passion.

Due to the length of this book much attention was not given to character development. I was hoping for more backstory on Cait. Unlike Owen where readers are given a taste of his origins, nothing was provided on Cait. In addition, not much emphasis was given to developing the romance between them. Their hook up was more of insta-love connection .

As usual Ms. Heaton’s descriptive writing style transports readers into this fantasy world, allowing them to feel as if they are a part of the story. The story moved quickly and is riddled with non-stop action. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and have you eager to find out what will happen next.

The introduction of dragon shifters in this installment prepares readers as to what to expect from future books in this series. This is a quick and enjoyable read and I highly recommend it to fans of the paranormal romance genre.

Having never read a book by Felicity Heaton, I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Now having finished Bitten by a Hellcat, I can tell you that this book is action packed in more ways than one! Chalked full of alpha male shifter goodness this book packs a one-two punch of romance and action. Owen’s the last of his kind. He’s built walls so impregnable that he never saw a Hellcat by Cait coming his way. He may be helping her save her tail from a male Hellcat’s claim, but she means much more to him that just another job. She could possibly be the first woman human or shifter alive to EVER put a crack in his protective shields. When emotions run high and the claws come out, will Owen and Cait stand victorious or perish in the fight?
While I loved the story, I did have a bit of trouble with the beginning of their romantic connection. I have never been a fan of rushed romances. I think that because of the length of the novel their almost one night stand uniting killed a little bit of the romance factor for me. Was it sexy and steamy? Hell yes! Did I enjoy this book? YES! I just wish I could have seen more of a character relationship development with Owen and Cait.

REVIEW
Owen is a hunter and a human or is he?
One night in the club he sets his sights on Cait. Well he may wish he had not set his sight on her as Cait is a Hellcat. Owen is more than intrigued and something is pulling him to her. Cait needs help as she is being targeted by a male hellcat but Cait has no wish to become his mate.
Cait is just as dominating as Owen so these two on the prowl together makes for some fun times until
Owen figures out that Cait is much more than just a client needing his help.

Will Cait give up some of her dominance to Owen?
And will Owen let her know what he really is?

I really enjoyed this book. The steam factor between Owen and Cait is fantastic. Very well written and I would recommend it.

Once again, Felicity Heaton throws us into the world of these Eternal Mates and the chemistry hits hard and fast. Not going to lie, I love watching the various personalities meet and fall for their other half.

This time around, we're given a hunter and a lady hellcat. Owen has a few secrets, but then, so does Cait. Watching the two of them unravel those secrets is downright sexy (except for those times when it's just dangerous). Oh! And I'm kinda smitten with the Hellcats. They're wicked cool what with the flames and awesomeness and all.

LOVE that we got to see a familiar face (seriously, when does he get his own book?!?!?! The poor guy is DYING for it!) and travel to a hell dimension. Did I mention how cool Hellcats are? I want to see more of them and the dynamics of their species.

As always, I'm eager to see what's next in this series.

The author gave me this book in exchange for an honest review

A pretty good book but not a great one like the first books in the series. My main problem was that I couldn’t really feel the connection between Owen and Cait, although it was lust at first sight.

While reading the story, it felt kind of hasty and, although, the writing style was very good as always, it was too fast paced.

Nevertheless, I liked both Owen and Cait as characters and, especially, Cait because she’s like no other female and definitely a fighter.

To be honest, I am a fan of Felicity Heaton and, although, this wasn’t my favorite read it still was a very good one. The author knows how to write great paranormal romance stories!

This is my favorite of the series so far! I adored Owen's no holes barred attitude. He was strong, had secrets of his own but did not let anything deter him from what he wanted.
Cait is strong in her own right, a hellcat! This is the first book I have read that has incorporated hellcats and it ROCKED! The heat between the characters radiates through the written word, leaving the reader breathless. I inhaled this in a matter of three hours, not able to put it down! I loved the little glimpse of Bleu and who his intended will be and am very excited to have him back in the storyline! It is really easy to forget that the characters overlap from book to book and when the author pulls them into the story it is a gentle reminder not to forget the previous loves!

Everyone in the shifter world knows the Nightingale name, especially Owen Nightingale's name. The young mercenary is so different from his famous father and uncles, he only hurts the demons and shifters that truly need to be put down.
Taking a much needed night off, Owen meets Cait at the Underworld bar. Chemistry is off the charts between the two of them and things go from zero to sixty pretty quickly. Cait needs Owen's help and is willing to pay for it, with any means necessary. Lust, love and danger keep this book rolling from beginning to end.

REVIEW: 4 stars--BITTEN BY A HELLCAT is the sixth installment in Felicity Heaton’s adult, contemporary Eternal Mates paranormal romance series. This is shifter hunter Owen Nightingale and hellcat Cait’s storyline. BITTEN BY A HELLCAT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from alternating third person points of view, the focus of the storyline finds Cait ‘hiring’ Owen Nightingale for a job taking down a man who has been stalking Cait for a very long time. Cait claims the male hellcat believes Cait is his mate but there is another reason Cait has been targeted by the dark and dangerous shifter. When Owen, a human with some power of his own, agrees to hunt for Cait’s stalker, he didn’t expect to fall in love with the feisty and beautiful woman.

Owen is a hunter by blood and heritage-a mercenary for hire-who is tasked with bringing in the supernatural species. Off the clock and recovering from a recent attack, Owen recognizes the fire in Cait’s eyes-a fire known only to belong to the elusive and infamous hellcat. He is not on the job but his need to protect Cait comes with some unknown and uncomfortable feelings.

The relationship finds our H/h immediately attracted to one another-a mutual attraction that quickly leads to a rushed sexual encounter between our leading couple. Cait’s inner hellcat knows that Owen is their mate but Owen is trying to keep some distance as he searches for the man on Cait’s tail. There is no prior history between Cait and Owen but they are first introduced in book 4-Hunted by a Jaguar which runs parallel to some of the events in Bitten by a Hellcat. The $ex scenes are intimate, provocative and arousing.

The world building continues with the familiarity of the shifter night club known as Underworld but the only familiar face and name in the early pages is jaguar shifter Kyter (Hunted by a Jaguar)-the owner and club bartender. Felicity Heaton continues to tease the fans of her Eternal Mates series with brief glimpses at the immortal elf Commander Bleu and the possibility that his mate is a rare species-indeed.

The secondary and supporting characters include Marius-the hellcat hunting for Cait; Owen’s cousin; and the copious number of supernatural species who make a cameo appearance throughout the story. Bleu’s potential mate will be imprisoned but continues to sense when ever ‘he’ is near.

BITTEN BY A HELLCAT is very much a narrative that reflects on some of Owen’s family history but does not go into detail about Cait’s background or her time in Hell. The communication between our couple is limited as we follow along with the building relationship, romance and journey. And like the title implies, Owen will be bitten but his transformation will not be easy.

Felicity Heaton, once again, invites you into an addicting world of the supernatural; a world of shapeshifters, demons, witches and more. The erotic and sensual love scenes are powerful; the matings are intense. Another welcome addition to Felicity’s Eternal Mates paranormal series.

Owen comes from a long line of hunters and has spent his whole life training to fight shifters, demons and other supernatural creatures who prey on humans. He works as a mercenary and lives by his own code but he is good at what he does in spite of being human and therefore much weaker than the prey he hunts. Cait is a rare form of shifter, a hellcat, and she is being chased by a male who wants to collar her and force her into being his mate. She has no intention of being caught easily but she knows she will need help if she wants to keep her freedom so she offers Owen the job of taking out the male hellcat who is set on claiming her. Even fighting for their lives isn't enough to dampen the passion that flares between Owen and Cait but it is only when she makes a mistake that is likely to cost Owen his life that she realises just how much he means to her. She will do whatever it takes to save him but it may cost her the thing she prizes most - her freedom.

As a huge fan of this series I was excited to get my hands on a copy of Bitten by a Hellcat and couldn't wait to start reading it. I have to admit that it took me a little longer to get invested in the story than the previous instalments which I think was mainly down to the fact that we haven't met either of these characters before (well, I don't remember either of them anyway). Luckily that didn't last long though and once we started to get to know both Cait and Owen I was quickly able to root for them as a couple. Owen is a really sweet guy, he may bend the rules but he has his own code of honour and I loved how protective he was of Cait. He wouldn't sit by and let anyone be injured on his watch though and was more than willing to step up even when it was against powerful enemies. Cait is kick ass in her own right and she is just as protective of Owen as he is of her. It was great to see her put her life on the line to protect him and I felt that they were a really well matched couple.

Bitten by a Hellcat is a fast and fun romance with fantastic chemistry between the main characters and plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom. It expands further on the world that Felicity Heaton has created and if you're a fan of the series you'll recognise a few cameos from characters we already know and love. One think I was particularly excited about is that I think we may finally have met the woman who is going to bring my favourite elf Blue to his knees, I've been looking forward to his story for a long time now & I'm hoping the snippet we see of him here means that his book is getting closer!

Of the books in this series that I have read, this is the shortest and my least favorite. Here was a case of insta-love and I just didn’t feel it with these two. Series-wise, we definitely could have skipped this one since the characters are unremarkable and it really didn’t do much to forward to series storyline.

In this story, Owen Nightingale, the last in a long line of the famous Nightingale were-hunters, notices beautiful Cait in the bar and immediately recognizes her as a hellcat shifter, even though they are very rare and rarely leave Hell. “He had never seen one of her kind, not in all his years as a hunter…” but he recognized her on sight in her human form. What?

She recognizes him as a hunter and she needs his help since she is being stalked by a male hellcat, but whether he is trying to mate with her or capture her to sell on the black market is the question.

Insta-attraction and running from the bad guy lead to hot sex and a mating bite from the hellcat. Humans don’t usually survive the bite of a hellcat and now Cait is running around frantically trying to find a way to save Owen, making herself vulnerable to the bad guy.

At 163 pages, there is not too much time for either great romance or exciting adventure and both kind of fall flat in this story.

THOUGHTS:
Usually it is hard to skip a book in a series, even if you don’t like the character or the premises, there is usually important plot points that is moving the series forward. I would say you could definitely skip this one. The characters are not too exciting, the insta-love didn’t work for me and there wasn’t too much pushing the series forward except for meeting of dragon-shifter, Taryn, getting a glimpse that she has suffered some abuse, and the fact that she’s is trying to keep away from an elf warrior. Heaton continues to dazzle me with her robust characters and richly detailed world. Although Bitten by a Hellcat had a slightly different feel, which I think is due to the female MC being the one with the initial mating compulsion along with a lack of action and adventure, I was still riveted -- anxious to know how it would all come together.

Cait is a hellcat. She's rather rare and therefore is coveted by male hellcats as well as those who'd use her for their own devices. When she happens into Underworld on night after a particularly nasty fight with a male hellcat, she finds herself drawn to Owen Nightingale. And Owen's profession is one that is coming in handy at the moment.

Owen is a hunter -- one from a renowned family of hunters. Basically he's a mercenary. When Cait hustles onto the dance floor, he can't seem to take his eyes off her. When she approaches him about a job, he quickly accepts. But there's more going on than just a professional relationship here.

Since this is a novella, the bulk of the story revolves around the development of the bond between Cait and Owen. The action and adventure the Eternal Mate couples typically engage in is something I enjoy, but this story didn't suffer from the lack of it. That's not to say there isn't any action. There certainly is and one scene involved a cameo from Bleu. *sigh* But I digress. :) There is action and Heaton once again shows her strength in choreographing such scenes. She also flexes her muscle in the vivid detailing of her world -- the fae town and Hell. And let's not forget Cait and Owen themselves. Heaton is very adept at creating characters you feel you know and become very invested in.

Man! I adore this series! I'm so grateful to Berls and Carmel for introducing me to it. I'm eager to begin the next in the series, Taken by a Dragon, and ever hopeful we'll get Bleu's story soon. *hint hint*

~ 3.5 Bitten Stars ~

This installment of Eternal Mates starts of in the bar known as Underworld, which has been prevalent in this series. Owen Nightingale is a human mercenary who goes after supernaturals. He seems to have no fear. When Cait comes into the bar running from one of the males of her own kind, Owen is intrigued. Cait hires him to kill the hellcat that is chasing her. Just because Cait hires a mercenary to help her with her issues, that doesn't make her weak. She is strong and able to take care of herself.

I really liked the species of the hellcat. They have two tails with blue fire on the tips. Oh, and there is blue fire around their mouths too. It was very interesting. The world of hell they live in was different as well.

I loved the two characters in this story. They were both strong and very fascinating. They both had secrets that I enjoyed watching unravel. The suspense of the story was consuming. However, the romance was rushed. These were two character who had never met and they jumped right in bed together. I guess that happens in real life too, but it was just too quick for me.

Overall, I still loved the world, characters and action-packed stories that Heaton continues to deliver in this series. These past few novellas that have been released this year have all been fun and quick reads that can be read as stand alone stories to get your started in this series.

This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review

This was an amazing book! I loved how Felicity pulled the characters together and I was completely captivated by the whole Hellcat species. This book had some mystery and intrigue to it as well which was fun and gave it some twists and turns that jumped out at you when you lest expected them to. The ending was amazing! and I am on the edge of my seat to find out what happens in the next book! Felicity is great at ending her stories that way.

I have to say the bad guys were rather bad ass in this one and I rather enjoyed the hunt and kill. My favourite part being the big fight scene near the end where they take on the guy that was after Cait all along. It was an amazing fight scene and one I am not likely to forget any time soon. I also loved the scenes leading up to it with the magic and mayhem, it was defiantly impressive and I can't wait to see what Heaton's imagination cooks up for us in the next book!

As for the Romance this one lights it up in true Felicity style! it couldn't get any hotter if the pages were on fire!..lol I usually like it when the main characters fight a lot but this one has a bit of both the mushy and the fighting which I think was perfect balance. Then came the saving and the dieing part which always amps everything up into a frenzy..lol...you have to love Heaton's style as she truly gets it done! edge of your seat heat, anticipation and non stop battles!

don't miss out one of these amazing books!

I keep getting so confused when characters are introduced because I think oh shit they're up next, but at this point they could eventually end up as a couple five books later. Is that a bad thing? Kind of. I like the couples fresh. Example, the woman taken by the dragon a few books ago. No mentions for books now, and and they're up next. I don't like to sneak at who couples are, but I did to see if the Taryn chick in this book is with my fave man, and thankfully she is but I just dislike the timelines of couples I think? Or even just how they're introduced to the series because it feels like odd placement at times when you don't hear from them for like three books?

Anyway, this was better than the last but still not amazing. Honestly I think it is the length, it makes the relationships harder to not see as cheesy because it's two hours of reading and then we're at I love you's and mating talk and those conversations these last two books have honestly been awful. Cheesy and while I do like that sometimes it just didn't quite feel like it got to the level of the first few books because we see more growth and stuff from everyone instead of just some steamy romps and some quick action.

I am a big fan of Felicity Heaton and have for the most part enjoyed the “Eternal Mates Series.” However, where the first few books tied together nicely, connecting and evolving the characters, her latest books I have found lacking. This book was a chore for me to read and it only gained my interest during the last third of the book. I almost felt as if it was written by two different authors. The first two thirds relied on one sex scene to the next to carry the reader along, and while I enjoy a great sex scene, there was no build up, no anticipation and quite honestly it became monotonous to read. Only after Owen was near death and Cait is taken does the storyline pick up and the storyline takes on a life much as her first three books in this series. We do get a brief glimpse of previous characters, but their appearance is too short to tie the books together. There are still unanswered questions from previous books, unresolved issues and stronger characters that would have made an interesting storyline. I did enjoy the last third of the book and for that reason alone did I give this a three star as opposed to only one star.

Bitten by a Hellcat was an amazing story. Cait is on the run from a male that wants to capture her, collar her, and sell her to the highest bidder. When she runs into a the famous hunter, Owen Nightingale, she enlists his help in getting rid of the pesky male. Neither of them really anticipates the sparks that fly between them.

I loved that both Cait and Owen had to play the role of rescuer in the story - no damsel in distress here. This hellcat can take care of business when she needs to. Both were willing to do whatever it took to keep each other alive and stay together.

There is a ton of excitement that comes up in multiple different ways - all of which only make the story even better. Owen has a really big secret that comes into play several times and it was a lot of fun. I really loved the world and the paranormal lore that Felicity Heaton built.

I'd give it a three and three quarters stars if I could.

This is good but it is my least favorite of the series. I think it is the shortest in length and it took me a while to sink into it. Other than that and me not quite feeling the romance as strongly as usual, it was everything that I have come to expect from Felicity's books. There was action, suspense, danger, romance, supernatural beings and a decent plot all wrapped up in a pretty looking cover.

I did like the twists like a human Hero, and the surprises. (No spoilers here, sorry.)

I really got more into it as the pace picked up and the action increased.

I would still recommend it as it was a good read. I just hold her to such high expectations that what I usually overlook from another author brought me down a little while reading a book of hers.

I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. It was good but in my humble opinion, not her best.

This is part of the Eternal Mates Series, but reads as a stand alone.
Owen is a mercenary hunter, he has scruples and only hunts the paranormal beings that are a danger to humans or weaker fae. He is human which makes his prey under estimate him. He has a trick or two up his sleeve.
Cait is a Hellcat, as a rare breed she is always in danger of being forced into a mating. She has a male Hellcat hunting her so she asks Owen for help.
Once again our author has delivered an exciting story. The marvellous descriptive writing puts us in the middle of some awesome fights. Both hero and heroine are very strong and sexy, but with a vulnerable side. Cait sounds like a beautiful creature. I can almost understand why she would be in demand as a pet.
A great series that has truly wonderful Mates.

Omg I love these books. Felicity is a truly amazing Writer. I Know she says the characters talk to her. And truly feels that way when you read her books. I loved that own had a secret and was willing to share with Cait even before he knew she was his mate. The wonderful chemistry the two have is something wonderful. I cannot say to much without spoiling the story. But what she goes through to save him, is truly remarkable. She is trying to esca[e a hellcat hot on her trail. He wants to Collar Cait, but Cait will not let that happen she will keep on running until she met her true mate. And when she runs in to Underworld seeking sanctuary. She did not know that she had run straight into her True Mate Arms. Now they both just need to figure out that Owen and Cait are Mates.

I received an advanced reader copy for a honest review.

Bitten By A Hellcat, part of The Eternal Mates series by Felicity Heaton is an action packed paranormal Romance that is sexy, suspenseful, and brilliant. I really enjoyed Bitten By A HellCat. It appears that I have a new book boyfriend. Owen Nightingale. Strong, Hunter, mercenary and mortal….. Cait, a gorgeous Hellcat, a shifter born in the fires of hell. Can these two fight outside obstacles and find their way to each other? I was on the edge of my seat. This book was so thrilling. A definite must read. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series. Felicity always delivers fabulous books!! Loved This!
