TL;DR: You already know the secrets to heart health but Klibanov would like to remind you just in case.
The good: The content itself is solid, fair, and relatively comprehensive. Solutions covered include diet, exercise, and supplementation. A human touch is often added in an attempt to keep the material engaging. The material is well organized and is likely useful as a reference, boasting a large number of citations.
The bad: Despite Klibanov's best efforts, cholesterol remains a dry subject. Sections dedicated to supplements in particular feel extremely dry and are probably better as a reference rather than for reading or listening straight through.
The ugly: While I respect the hustle, promoting a blog, newsletter, or other service through a book is almost always a negative for me as a listener. I will make an exception if the resources being promoted are free and do not require registration. in this case, the information requires registering your name and email address.
Audio format: For those listening on audio, the virtual voice narrator is far from passable in its handling of the various charts and technical terminology which dominate large portions of the text. The citations are also not present in the audio format, though this is probably not an issue for most readers.
This satisfied my curiosity and I am confident in my next steps for improving my cholesterol and overall heart health.
