It's amazing what the love of a real man can do. Peter learns this first-hand as his cop boyfriend, Chip has still stuck by his side throughout all the drama that he's been through. From the disappearance of his roommate, the controlling tentacles of casino boss Tony and Peter's attempts to keep his deep dark secret from coming out.
Although Peter wishes he could go back to the days when he was just a kindergarten teacher instead of moonlighting as an erotic masseuse at night, he knows life will never be the same. Chip assures him that he's with him through thick and thin and is even ready to introduce him to his family. But what will say if and when Peter's school finds out about his nighttime excursions and the drama starts to become known not only city-wide but worldwide?
* This 5th book in the Bad Boy series, like the others contacts m/m scenes and a cliffhanger *
Jamie Lake is the author m/m gay romances such as The Trainer, Boyfriend for Rent, Marked for Love, Bad Boy: Naughty at Night, Stay Always and many others.
3.3 stars This was a bit of a bummer. I didn't enjoy the moping and profanity didn't work well here. The buttseck was maybe a little too abundant? The prose could use some improvements, although I liked the interview bit. I almost feel sorry for the villain Tony but his end was meh.
When I read the first book I wasn't really into it. Peter was very stupid and it was just annoying that he was making such an obvious mess of things. I was not going to continue this story but with this cliffhanger, I just couldn't resist reading book two. With each paged just proved over and over how stupid this man is but I could help reading it and just hope he would smarten up. There were allot of drawn out and repeated scenes and thing that just didn't make sense. He took his pants off but then in the next sentence there still on and they are taken them off over and over...you get the drift. The proposal also makes no sense. Tony is already married and not leaving his wife. How Peter let himself get into that kind of situation is beyond me. When the principal came to him with the whole cut the program out, why didn't Peter go to the parents and have them help with the funding. Having went to law school should he have found a better way to fight for the kids? The part that got me is that he kept making the same mistakes. I don't like that he really doesn't have any loyalty to Chip. Yea he loves him but he is not faithful... I did read it till the end and I was hooked so I can give it the four stars.
I loved the ending! I kept thinking, 'jeez, how's Chip gonna take that?' I mean, not really the kind of thing one wants to hear their partner do with other people. But I'm kind of glad Tony got that ending. He was pure evil. Johnny didn't do anything to him! So I'm really happy with that ending. Yay! No more cliff-hangers!
By the time I finished listening to this fifth audiobook in Jamie Lake’s Naughty at Night series, I was completely done with Peter’s self pity. Unfortunately the original premise of this series - a series that started with promise - simply didn’t hold up.
Listening to James Talbot’s otherwise overall excellent narration, it seemed as if he was as frustrated by it all as I was.
I’ve already indicated my personal antipathy for cliff hanging endings to individual novels in a series, but even this ‘final’ novel feels less than complete.
Bottom Line: A lot of hours spent listening to all five audiobooks in this series with the only real satisfaction being that I stick it out to the end.
A little dissappointed in the ending. I wanted to see Peter and Chip's HEA. Tony is gone, so what happens next? Did they move, did they get married? How was life after the scandal? Overall a great story.
This was such a great series! Lots of "what did I get myself into?" Peter is a great character. I was rooting for him and wanting to spank him at the same time. I love how committed Chip was to Peter. It was sweet. Loved the showdown with his dad and how that situation resolved itself. You can't help but love Peter and how much he enjoys a hot man and the ways he ends up havin' hot loving with someone with that extra dash of guilt thrown in. It caused my eyes to roll but in the best possible way. I really adored Peter... That lovely scene with Tony, Tony Jr and Sergio was a very delicious surprise. I'm not ashamed to admit I loved it all the while keeping an eye out for Chip to make an appearance. Ahem..glad they weren't interrupted. All in all a very fun and engaging read. Jamie Lake is becoming quite the addiction for me...muah
Jamie has done it again with the sensational wrap up of Bad Boy - Naughty at Night in Book 5. His amazing talent as a writer is wrapped up with his ability to add so much emotion, drama, and hot sex to a very strong story line. If you haven't read Books 1-4, do so before readin Book 5 because it leads to a fantastic climax and happy ending. The story line continues to build over the course of the series. Excitement and craving for more with the overall Hot Men is intense. We are looking T a good vs evil with the ongoing interaction with Tony, peter. And Chip. EMOTIONAL. Sexual. Hot. Hot, hot, and the drama is heart wrenching. Loved it.Highly Recommended
Each "book" in this series runs from 25-70 pages, this current installment is in the lower range. So, when you add together 5 books times the 2.99 price...in the end you are paying about $15.00 for a novel. Those are prices big name authors get for their ebooks, not romance authors just starting to learn their craft.
I would happily spend $5.99 for this *complete* series, but won't buy anymore from this author until the serialization stops. Cliffhangers and overpricing short stories aren't for this M/M reader. I won't rate it, just warning other readers.
WOW.... the hea I wanted :) this is the final book of the series and ends wonderfully, of course you do have to go through some trauma to get there but hey that's what makes it just the perfect book...
perfection I did not see that ending coming want to know more about Tony's son (maybe a new series) The final sex scene was hot hot hot and I devoured every word 5* rating well earned for the whole series
So I stuck with this series just to find out how it ended. It was a mistake. Editing was horrible. It reads like it's someone telling you what happened rather than getting pulled into the story. This series could have been so much better if quality beta readers and editors were used.
I guess since I was a Tony fan, I didn't like this book as much as the others. I was smexy as the others, but it was too slow for my taste. Overall, a nice read.
