Never Love a S*x Demon

Rate this book
“It's a very dangerous thing to attract the attention of a powerful being from hell.”

I wanted answers about what was happening to me since I’d given my soul to Adrian… but not this way. Now that I’m face to face with a prince of hell, it’s safe to say that our lives are about to change. Abaddon says he just wants me to work for him, but I don’t believe him. I know how demons think now, he has a plan. If Abaddon isn’t trying to tear our menage apart, what is his endgame? Something tells me we can only expect the worst.

But Abaddon isn’t the only one taking an interest in me. Enter the nephilims, half-demons, half-humans—and one hundred percent renegades of hell. We shouldn’t trust the four of them, especially since I’m sure they have agendas of their own. But what other choice do we have? At least they seem willing to help us—and even to stand up to Abaddon.

Because as hell turns its attention on us, it becomes painfully clear that we need allies. As our lives spiral out of control, Ethan believes that Adrian needs to become more powerful to face the new challenges awaiting us. But to have more energy, our incubus needs someone else to feed on…

Adrian had always called me his lady. But as the stakes rise and key information comes to light, will I be willing to do anything to keep my two men and even to claim a third one, even if it means becoming the queen they believe me to be?

Never Love a S*x Demon is the third book in a series of four. This book is for mature readers only, as there are many graphic scenes of intimacy as well as some disturbing themes. The guys being together, there’ll be M/M scenes in a poly relationship centered around Sally. As always, please check the triggers before reading, we don’t do light stuff here. This book cannot be read as a stand-alone, and, you guessed it… ends on a cliffhanger that will make you want to throw your kindle across the room. Happy reading!

The trio must expand their group to keep their powers balanced. As their love deepens, Sally worries about how her new abilities affect Ethan. Their newest addition, Jeremiah, is sweet, submissive, and a perfect fit for their dynamic. The demon prince Abbadon, intrigued by Sally’s unique powers, hires her as his assistant. Ed immediately senses danger, but Sally is whisked away to work for him, leaving Ethan to face growing hostility at WE. Her new position introduces her to a group of hybrid demons potential future allies and lovers. The spice level ramps up with creative and varied group scenes, including Ed’s shapeshifting into animals and his willingness to serve Sally. Jeremiah’s addition brings fresh energy, especially through his submissive nature and connection with Ed’s darker side. Amid all the heat, the story continues to blend action, danger, and intrigue, with memorable new hybrids (Nico being a standout favorite). The series remains dark, thrilling, and irresistibly steamy! I can’t wait for the next installment

Tropes: Growing Poly Group/Why Choose? MMMF, Sweet and Submissive MMC with a Dad Bod, Sexy FMC/New To Being A S*x Demon, Morally Grey Shadow Daddy Demon MMC, Psychic MMC, and Found Family.

Never Love A S*x Demon is the 3rd book in the Sweet Dreams Series by Chris Labeau. I have been in love with this book since the very first book “Never Mate A S*x Demon”. And with each new book, I find the series just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Sally and Ethan have now linked themselves to Edruran, and more than that Sally has shared her very soul, they know that they need to add to their group as they need to ensure that they are not draining each other's strength. You can see and feel the love between the three of them and it is such a beautiful thing and now Sally is worried about how her new powers are going to be effecting Ethan. I found the next person who joined their poly unit to be so sweet, kind, and yes, submissive. They are the perfect match for this group.

Our villain in this instalment is Abbadon, he just happens to be a demon prince who is new to the group and has an interest in Sally's rather unique properties and more than that, Abaddon decides to hire Sally as his assistant. Oh poor Edruran, he's just terrified when Abbadon introduces himself to the three of them, Edruran has already figured it out that Abaddon's plans are not the most pure.

Suddenly Sally is bustled away in order to work for Abaddon, this leaves poor Ethan in the present more hostile WE office as they look down in pity on his poor little menage, that in their eyes appear to be falling apart. I did like that in Sally's leaving finally ended her friendship with Elaine, and I wasn't sorry to see this friendship end, Elaine wasn't a good friend to Sally. What I do like is that with Sally's new role has opened up the road to meeting new people and possibly new members of their group.

I found the spicy scenes to really step it up in this book, there were more graphic scenes in this book then in the other books and there were more combinations and variety of the menage. You can feel the love of this amazingly creative group and I just love how you can feel all the love that's shared in this group and it's so full of energy creativity. And I loved how Ed would use his demon shadows and abilities to shape shift in bed. I found that to be so much fun.

Ed also has the ability to turn himself into a cat (I just loved this ability), and their fourth loved this ability, or Ed can turn himself into a dog, the form that Ethan liked the best. One of the things that I loved was how subservient Ed was to the now powerful Sally and it appeared that he really did enjoy being dominated by her. And he would set up the power just so that Sally would be both his lord and lady.

I loved watching Jeremiah and Sally's interactions. I couldn't help but laugh when Jeremiah would have Sally play at being his mistress. And then there was kind of interesting that this new lord enjoyed relying on Ed's abilities to cause him pain, this is something that Jeremiah has craved in order to feel like he's more at home like he was when he was when he was in hell, and this also helps to stem Ed's bloodlust.

I found that adding Jeremiah to the group added so much and added a new dynamic. Jeremiah was a perfect submissive who love feeling pain and that allowed him to connect perfectly with Ed who was Dominant with both men in the group.

I will say that there was a lot of darker themes and actions in this book like there were in the other books. The entire group has to deal with intrigue, demons and bad humans. It was also interesting to see other hybrids entering into the picture and I do hope that we get to see them join the harem. Each of the hybrids had their own characteristics depending on the type of demon they were.

I really liked the hybrid that was nicknamed Nico, he was just so adorable.

I just love how this series continues to be so interesting, spicy, and incredibly fun. I honestly can't wait for the next book in the series. I just love the way that this series remains so thrilling dark, and so irresistibly hot and steamy.

And of course in typical Sweet Dreams Series and Chris Labeau fashion Never Love A S*x Demon ends on a cliffhanger. This really makes me jittery for the next book in the series just wanting to know what happens next.

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 4⭐️

POV: Multi

💜Psychic MMC
💜BD$M

Thoughts:
Now that Sally and Ethan have linked themselves to Edruran, and Sally shared her soul, they find they need to add more to their group to ensure they aren’t draining each other in strength. The love between the three of them grows even though Sally is worried about her new powers and how they affect Ethan. The next person in their poly group was so sweet and submissive, a perfect match for the team.

This book’s overarching bad guy Abbadon, a demon prince new to the group has interest in Sally’s unique properties and hires her as an assistant. Poor Ed is beside himself with terror when Abbadon introduces himself to the three, as he knows that the prince must have nefarious plans. Sally is whisked away to work for Abbadon, leaving a poor Ethan in the now more hostile WE office as they look down on his menage. I liked that her leaving scraped off her friend Elaine, who I really did not like. This new role of Sally’s also has them meeting what I hope are future poly group members, four demon human hybrid friends.

The intimacy scenes really ramp up in this book, with more graphic scenes and a variety of combinations of ménage love and super creative group scenes. I also loved how Ed used his demon shadows and ability to shift shapes in their bed play. Ed can also turn himself into a cat, which their new fourth loved, or a dog which Ethan liked best. I liked how Ed was really subservient to a now powerful Sally, he really seemed to enjoy being dominated by her and had set up the power so that Sally was his lord and lady. Jeremiah also really loved when Sally played as his mistress. I also thought it neat that the new lord was relying on Ed’s ability to cause him pain, something that he craved so he would feel more like he was home in hell, which also helped to curb Ed’s bloodlust. The addition of the new poly member Jeremiah added so much to the group, especially as he was a submissive who added some new dynamics for all members. Being into pain play also helped him really connect with Ed who was Dominant with both men.

Like the other books, there are a lot of dark action and intrigue as the team deals with other demons and bad humans. I also liked seeing the other hybrids who I hope are going to be part of her harem, they each had characteristics of the type of demons they were. My favourite was nicknamed Nico and he was so earnest it was adorable. This series continues to be interesting, spicy and fun, I can’t wait for the next instalment.

I was really looking forward to the third instalment of this series, however, I was disappointed as I feel like it fell short of the first two books.

I did like the introduction of Abbadon as the guy at the end of book 2…especially since I thought it was going be Asmodeus. Then Second seemed like a potential threat to the main trio, until Fourth/Nico was introduced and started accidentally spilling secrets that showed the Nephlims were potential allies.

There were a few really good chapters in there, some with danger and excitement, like when De Rosa tries to put an obedience spell on Sally, or that final chapter with the cliffhanger! And obviously there’s a lot of sexual scenes to keep readers entertained.

But the trio had to deal with staying one step ahead of Abbadon, wonder if they could trust the Nephlims along with a lot of negativity and discrimination from others towards their relationship.

The multi POV is a positive, although not necessary to jump between characters every chapter. And that last chapter and cliffhanger was great.

But I honestly felt lost through most of the book, and I even lost interest a few times and jumped into other books then came back to this one. The pace was too slow, and featured some repetitive points, and too much detail around unnecessary points.

In my opinion there was an introduction to too many different characters which left me confused. Especially when every character has multiple names, or some character introductions felt unnecessary like the Russian guy, or Arthur, or most of Ethan’s family to be fair. Then there’s Ethan’s colleagues and new boss, that felt like too much detail was repeatedly provided about.

It also felt like parts of the storyline was forgotten about, like why bring up Thomas and his gifts and not give more about that other than one interaction? There was also the fact no one seemed to remember Nico/Fourth was a woman when they first saw her at the supermarket in book 2 (despite mentioning it to second), and just accepted that this guy who showed up was the same person…yet seemed to be shocked and needed to be reminded of this when Nico did appear as a woman.

Then the whole Jeremiah relationship seemed to come out of nowhere, I think I was as floored as Sally when Ethan suggested adding another person to their ménage…especially since it seemed like that is what the Nephlims were introduced for. Then I feel like there was too much focus on Jeremiah…especially around his relationships with Adrian and Ethan, and I felt bad for Sally, as it seemed like even her two guys were pushing her to one side. And despite all the focus on Jeremiah, there wasn’t a lot of information given about him on his initial introduction…even when it was told from his POV.

So overall, very confusing, too many characters, at times too much description, but the steamy scenes were mostly hot (although when it goes on for chapters, I couldn’t wait to move onto a different topic) and cliffhanger was almost as epic as those in the other books of this series. Hence the neutrality of 3 stars.

What a soul crushing ending! Poor Adrian, but honestly? I don’t think he'll be stuck in any type of situation for too long. He's got allies, a soul, people that know his true name. I think he'll be just fine. But who knows? I think it will make for such an interesting beginning for book number 4. We're in for a wild ride, I just know it.
As for this book, I always look forward to the new releases of this series and this one was my favorite by far! The first two were much slower in the introduction to the harem members, which wasn't a bad thing, but it definitely had me wondering whether it was going to be one person per book. I've read books that have done this before and have had no issues with them, but they do drag on sometimes.
Jeremiah in this book was the perfect balance to the already established trio. I think he was the yin to their yang, timid where they were bold, and submissive where they were dominant. But he was also just so darn likeable. You could tell he just needed to be loved. I look forward to seeing how their relationship develops even more as the story continues, especially in regards to Sally since it was such a different experience for him to be with her.
The introduction of the nephilims was a nice little surprise and definitely boosted my mood knowing that they’d be future harem potentials. I definitely think they made a good portion of the book for me since they were such an eclectic group. They made things fun but also you could tell that they were serious in their intentions of what they did for Sally and the group. I think even though they weren't technically considered the “good guys”, at this point it doesn't matter because these are the types that would burn the earth for you. Looking forward to seeing a lot more from them in the upcoming book and I know they have much more up their sleeves, many more hidden secrets, and a lot more stories to tell.

"After all, she was our girl, our lady, our queen."

"But, I'll never willingly obey As ideas ever again. Sally is my sovereign, no one else. My Lady. My Queen."

First off that ending was absolutely brutal.....this will certainly be causing some serious issues. I have no idea what to expect in the next book.

This book definitely feels like they are preparing for a coming war and they don't even realize it. We meet the nephilims and they quickly become allies. There may only be six of them but they are very unique. They are also willing to share knowledge and help Sally learn about her new powers.

We also have to deal with Abaddon who definitely has some agenda. He is looking to use Sally and it definitely can't be for anything good.

There is a lot of relationship growth and spicy scenes are getting hotter. Of course when they realize they are going to need to look into adding another human to their harsh things get interesting. Enter Jeremiah whom is recommended by our resident witch.

Jeremiah is a new and unique party. Yes he is human but he is also Angel touched and has been to he'll before. He was also hurt by a woman and that causes tension when he only wants he men. This sweet submissive man is truly just so afraid.

This book holds a lot of building blocks. Showing us who's on the field, who the enemies are and finding allies. With that ending I believe all we have learned and done up till now are going to be very important. There is a battle coming and it will take everyone to make it through. I can't wait to see what's next.

The Third installment in The Sweet Dreams series is full of magic mayhem and spice 😉

I truly adore Adrian and everything that comes with his story. His struggles and identity crisis really resonate with me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic change in this book and how it created stronger bonds with our MCs. I felt like Sally truly came into herself in this book. I really loved her new found confidence and the way her character developed.

I’m giving this book 3.5 stars and here’s why:
As much as I truly did love the plot and I’m very excited to see what happens after that cliff hanger, this book (for me) was convoluted with too many details. Don’t get me wrong, I love when I can close my eyes and see what I’m reading, but this book seemed to go way too in depth with character descriptions every chance it could throughout the book. For me, it got confusing. The names didn’t help either. I felt like every character that was introduced ended up with three different names by the end and it made it hard for me to keep up with who was who.

Again, the plot of this series is incredible. Magic, incubi, demons of hell, and so much more! The introduction of the Nephilims in this book was amazing and I loved every single one of them. Chris Labeau is a phenomenal author and I’m truly pleased with how this series has unraveled so far.

So Never love a s*x demon sounds like "Too little too late" !! Because I already love the characters and all this multilayered , multicolored world building so rich on nuanced and hidden meaning behind every word that looks trivial on the surface.
There are also so many new things to learn, so many interesting new characters. Every book keeps expanding without losing the previous intensity and what has already been built.
If you love poly romance, you will appreciate the way no one is left behind or neglected. /Ooook, I did need a little bit of a breather from Sally 😉/
I truly liked the new addition to the lillim's harem Jeremiah and can't wait to see more of him.
These books are simply like a cake - the dark chocolate, the cherry liquor, the exquisite taste that continues to build up the sensation of something new with each bite... You can't simply stop and say No to such kind of temptation.
Every step of the journey is thought provoking and keeps the reader firmly glued to what's happening with every incoming page.

I am so jealous of everyone who gets to read this series for the first time with 3 of the books out. This story has seeped into my bones. A nice, chonky, not overwhelming read. I love the characters and this story is beautifully written. So entertaining, gripping, thrilling, and sexy. You'll find yourself going through all the gasps and feels as our original trio continue their adventure. It keeps you in suspense, sometimes holding your breath at what will happen next. I say this after every book in this series but I want the next one. The spicy scenes are spicing in this polyamorous relationship. So much love. Each character fully realized and unique. The side characters too! I love the world created here and will gladly follow this author as long as she chooses to write for these characters. I do hope we see more books from current side characters that I want to know more about. Enjoy the ride.

ADRIANNNNN!!!

Never Love A S*x Demon is a crazy, romantic, poly-friendly romance with psychics, demons, a succubus, & an incubus. Where can we go but up from here?! This is book 3 in this series and ends on a cliffy. We find Adrian, Ethan, & Sally getting closer within their bonds, but also closer to trouble regarding a Hell prince! Well, what else could you do?! Easy! Bring in a 4th! The spice is easily sprinkled throughout and the story keeps a steady pace. If you have the time and are ready to get lost in a tension-filled, thrilling story, check this one out!

Never love a ...

This book took me through a range of emotions, and I'm still not sure how I feel.

I must admit that I found myself angry at Ethan and Adria. While I understand that they needed to make a choice to help Adrian and possibly Sally, they jumped a little too fast on someone who only wanted the. They are lucky that Sally is as sweet-natured as she is.

I'm fascinated, though, by First and Co., their stories and exactly what they are truly up to intrigued me from the start.

That ending though, arrgghh I need book four now!

This series gets more complex and gripping.
Poly romance with psychics, demons, a succubus, and an incubus and the relationships get more complex.
The third book in this series and yeah, ends again in a cliffhanger!
Adrian, Ethan and Sally deepen their bonds, but things complicate with a prince of hell.
As if their relationship weren't already complicated, they add a 4th to their poly.
There's steamy scenes along the story and the plot is immersive, even with the cliffhanger leaving questions in the air.
Perfect for lovers of romance with intricate relationships.

This was an incredible third book of this series!! It was a sexy paranormal rollercoaster, filled with action, drama, and spice that had my toes curling! I absolutely love Sally, Adrian, and Ethan. We get to see their relationship evolve and change over the course of the book. There are some interesting new characters…some that had me laughing out loud, some that made me incredibly angry, and some that had me questioning everything I thought I knew. In the end, I was left speechless and in desperate need of the next book!!

Whew! This was another decadently sensual ride. Sally, Ethan, and Aidan are thrown for another loop as their burgeoning connections have unimaginable consequences. With the help of some new morally reprehensible friends, we learn more of the supernatural lore of this version of heaven and hell. The more they learn; the more complicated and unmoored their future seams. Love rarely comes without sacrifice and I am eager to see what awaits these souls who dared to love.

What a story! This book is intense and detailed. You need to pay attention when reading. There is so much to this story and should not be missed. It is so creative and intricate. All of Sally's relationships are so interconnected. This book is spicy and written well. There is banter, drama, and tension with a paranormal flair. Literally everything I could want. I can't wait for the next book in the series! I highly recommend!

Another story of Adrian and his harem. Sally is whisked away to a new job where her boss is straight from hell. meanwhile, Ethan also has a new boss who is making work life horrible. enter in the nephilim amd there's all kinds of things transpiring. As if life wasn't dangerous enough, they contemplate adding a fourth to their harem. Plenty of spice to keep the pages turning. can't wait for the next book!

Another Cliffy!?!?! And this one was the worst out of all of them lol. At least I know the author already has a good chunk of the next book written which I absolutely do not have plans of bribery to acquire. Nope not me.

But seriously, this series is so amazing. Humans and an incubus all with various levels of tragic back stories and mystical properties coming together 😏😏and expanding their polycule, their horizons, their circle of friends, and their chance of a happy ending in what I hope will happen in book four cuz I'm struggling here 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
