An interesting little book. Lovely printing, and the paper is great to the touch. The pictures are printed to maintain a nice intimacy.
This is part of Roni Horn's larger project, To Place, a series about Iceland. This volume is about sheep folds. As a way to document the identity of place, I love emphasizing something so humble. The pictures offer a nice look into intimate, lasting signifiers of identity within the greater, epic (at least in Horn's language) landscape of Iceland.
