Celeste wasn’t like the other girls her age, she could do things, strange things.

She’d just wanted to run away and start again with Finn but he’d betrayed her.

Now they’d taken her and she was trapped. Stuck in her own mind, all she could do was think. She thought about her old life, about the things she’d done wrong but most of all she thought about Finn.

Celeste thought that she would never leave this place and that in store for her was a life of being drugged and experimented on.

One night they appeared, they said that they wanted to help her and because of them she managed to leave the place that she’d been trapped in.

Still, many things didn’t make sense to Celeste as she found herself now a part of a war that she didn’t fully understand with people who she didn’t fully trust.

Things had changed for her yet certain questions remained in her mind, where was Finn and why had he betrayed her?

Could a girl who was anything but normal ever manage to live a normal life?

I made it through this book! Don't ask me how. Celeste is the worse. She was in a relationship with Finn? I don't think so she meet him what three times because he was following her around. Through the whole book she was complaining about how much she loved him. After three meetings really? She whined the whole time- poor me I am so different no one likes me- over and over and over, we get it you kinda suck.
It was a rough read for me. I didn't like any of the characters the story was not engaging and the main character was especially irritating.

I am enjoying this series. I am a little confused as to whom the male is on the cover or why the author chose to name this book altered. However I am enjoying the direction she has taken this series. Celeste is beginning to accept who she is and it is exciting to watch.
