Mediterranean Waves is a fun and spicy contemporary romance set in Greece. The detailed descriptions of Greece & its food made me feel like I was on holiday there, too. The story follows our FMC Samantha on a journey of healing, self-love and finding romance after heartbreak. She travels to Greece on an extended holiday after a bad breakup where she meets a few flirty love interests. She learns what her heart truly needs and desires through experiencing casual flings and a serious love-at-first-sight kind of romance. Definitely check out this book if you love a spicy Greek romance!

Thank you L.E. Minx & T.J. Fox for the opportunity to be on your ARC reader team.

I had the pleasure of receiving an early copy of this book.

I loved it and had a lot of fun with it.

I absolutely loved all of the characters. They all had me absolutely cackling at various moments and they were just a super fun group to follow along with. The spicy scenes felt really good to me and if I'm entirely honest, they left me needing a cold shower at times. And the romance felt really nice.
Overall, 10/10 book and I could definitely read it repeatedly every time I want a fun, lighthearted book

After reading this I'd absolutely love to book my flight to Greece but that's not practical at all. There's a wonderful balance of character development, plot and spice. The spice was definitely hot and had me blushing a bit😩.

Mediterranean Waves is an ARC book I signed up to read and am so glad I did! Per usual, NO spoilers!

This book is about the main character, Samantha, rediscovering herself post-break up. Sam takes a trip to Greece and experiences a new perspective on life and meets new friends that open her eyes to a new life.

Overall, I enjoyed the storyline, characters, and lessons learned in this book. I loved the journey Sam took to find herself again! My only “complaint” if you can even call it that is the amount of spicy scenes. I don’t mind some spice but this book had a decent amount of spice, however, the scenes as easy to skim over and continue onto the story line! I know some peeps like more spice than others and it’s all a matter of preference! Please don’t let my review on spice level steer you away from reading this WONDERFUL book! 🌊✨

In Mediterranean Waves, authors L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox unfurl a tale as luminous and restorative as the Aegean itself. At first glance, the novel traces familiar contours: a woman, wounded by the quiet cruelty of digital manipulation, escapes to Greece at the urging of a determined best friend. Yet beneath this breezy premise lies a quietly radical story about reclamation—of identity, of sensuality, and of one’s right to joy.

Sam’s arc is not a tidy transformation but an elegantly layered excavation of what it means to feel whole again. Her journey is neither solely romantic nor purely introspective; rather, it is a dance between external connections—Lucian’s free-spirited warmth, Jenny’s irreverent support—and the internal murmurs of self-trust slowly resurfacing. The romantic elements, while sun-dappled and occasionally spicy, are never forced into the mold of cliché. Instead, they serve as tributaries in Sam’s broader river of rebirth.

Greece is more than a setting here—it is mood, metaphor, and medicine. The authors paint its landscapes with such sensory fullness that the very air seems salted and alive, a breathing companion to Sam’s own awakening. Perhaps most commendable is the narrative’s unapologetic embrace of diverse relationship structures, portrayed with both candor and emotional grace.

Mediterranean Waves may not pretend to break new literary ground, but it walks its chosen path with conviction, compassion, and clarity. It is a book for anyone seeking not just escape, but a gentle rediscovery of courage beneath the sun.

Review

"Mediterranean Waves" is ultimately a story about a woman reclaiming her power after a period of emotional manipulation. Sam's journey isn't just about finding love in a romantic sense; it's about rediscovering her own strength, her own desires, and her own sense of self-worth. The narcissistic online relationship left her feeling like a shell, and her trip to Greece becomes the catalyst for her transformation.
What I found particularly empowering was Sam's agency throughout the story. While she forms connections with Lucian and Jenny, her journey of healing and self-discovery remains her own. She makes her own choices, explores her own boundaries, and ultimately defines her own happiness. The support she receives from her friends is crucial, but it's her inner resilience and her willingness to step outside her comfort zone that drive her growth.
The book celebrates female friendship as a vital source of strength and support. Nina's unwavering belief in Sam and Jenny's sassy encouragement provide a powerful reminder of the importance of having strong women in your corner. While the romantic elements are certainly part of the story, the underlying theme of a woman finding her voice and her power after emotional abuse resonates deeply. "Mediterranean Waves" is a reminder that healing is possible, and that embracing new experiences and trusting yourself can lead to unexpected joy and self-love. It's an inspiring read for anyone who has ever felt lost and is searching for their way back to themselves.

Happy reading 🎉📚

Our book club just finished "Mediterranean Waves," and it sparked quite the discussion! What struck me most was the nuanced portrayal of Sam's emotional recovery. We've all been through some kind of heartbreak, and her initial lostness after extricating herself from that online relationship felt incredibly authentic. It wasn't a simple "snap your fingers and you're healed" scenario, which I really appreciated.
Nina's role as the supportive best friend was well-written – the kind of friend who knows you need a push, even if you resist it. And then there are Lucian and Jenny. Initially, I thought they might be somewhat one-dimensional, the typical "fun distractions." However, as the story progressed, both characters revealed layers of their own. Lucian's easygoing charm masked a thoughtful side, and Jenny's sass came with genuine warmth.
The setting of Greece wasn't just a pretty backdrop; it felt like an active participant in Sam's healing. The descriptions of the scenery and the interactions with the local people contributed to her sense of rediscovery. While the romantic elements are definitely present, I found the core of the story to be Sam's journey of reclaiming her sense of self and learning to trust again. It’s a testament to the authors' skill that they managed to balance the romance with this deeper exploration of personal growth. We had a lively debate about the ending and the various relationships that blossomed, which, for me, is the mark of a truly engaging book.

I generally gravitate towards character-driven literary fiction, so a contemporary romance like "Mediterranean Waves" was a bit outside my usual reading fare. However, I was intrigued by the premise of a woman using travel as a means of healing after an emotionally damaging relationship. While the narrative structure is more straightforward than what I typically seek, I found myself surprisingly invested in Sam's journey.
What stood out to me was the exploration of vulnerability and the slow process of rebuilding self-esteem. The authors, L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox, effectively portray the lingering effects of narcissistic abuse and the tentative steps Sam takes towards rediscovering her identity. The backdrop of Greece, while undeniably picturesque, also serves as a symbolic space for transformation – a place where Sam can shed her past and embrace new possibilities.
While the introduction of Lucian and Jenny initially felt somewhat like standard romance tropes, their roles in encouraging Sam to step outside her comfort zone and re-engage with life were well-executed. The dialogue, at times, felt a bit simplistic, but it served the purpose of moving the plot forward and revealing the characters' personalities. Ultimately, while "Mediterranean Waves" might not possess the stylistic complexity I usually seek, it offers a relatable and ultimately hopeful story about resilience and the power of human connection in overcoming emotional hardship. It's a testament to the universal need for healing and the potential for finding joy in unexpected places.

So, Sam’s finally escaped a narcissistic online disaster, but her mental GPS is still hilariously off. Her best friend Nina decides it’s time for a “healing journey” to Greece—because what better cure for a broken heart than postcard-perfect scenery and a heavy dose of Mediterranean charm?

Landing in Greece, Sam’s world starts to look a little less gray. Cue Lucian, the sarcastic, flirtatious Florida boy who’s basically a walking “live a little” memo. He’s there to prove that maybe, just maybe, stepping out of your comfort zone might actually be fun—even if it means risking a few more awkward moments along the way.

Then there’s Jenny, the sassiest new friend who’s all too ready to remind Sam that overthinking is for people who haven’t had a Greek vacation. With this dynamic duo pushing her to embrace spontaneity, Sam begins to see that self-love might just be served with a side of humor and a twist of irony.

But hold up—love isn’t all unicorns and sunsets. When Sam finally opens her heart, unexpected love saunters in, challenging her to trust and take another wild leap of faith. It’s like the universe is saying, “Sure, you’re a hot mess, but you’re a hot mess with potential!”

*Mediterranean Waves* isn’t your typical romance; it’s a cheeky, irreverent ride through self-discovery, healing, and a bit of heart-pounding flirtation. If you’re all about a comeback story spiked with a healthy dose of sarcasm, then buckle up for this adventure.

As someone who actively seeks out stories featuring diverse relationships, "Mediterranean Waves" immediately caught my attention. L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox have delivered a contemporary romance that embraces a refreshing range of relationship dynamics, including LGBTQ+ and CNM elements, which is still relatively rare in mainstream romance.
Sam's journey from emotional vulnerability to self-acceptance is compelling, and the backdrop of Greece provides a stunning and evocative setting for her transformation. The introduction of Lucian and Jenny as key figures in her healing process highlights the importance of varied connections and the different ways people can offer support and challenge us to grow.
What I appreciated most was the normalization of different relationship structures. The authors present these connections with the same care and emotional depth as traditional monogamous relationships, which is a significant step forward in inclusive storytelling. While the "open door spice" level might not appeal to all readers, it felt integral to Sam's journey of reclaiming her agency and embracing her sexuality. "Mediterranean Waves" offers a heartwarming and empowering story about finding love in unexpected forms and, most importantly, finding love within oneself. It's a welcome addition to the contemporary romance landscape for those looking for stories that reflect the diverse realities of modern relationships. I highly recommend this book.

What struck me most about "Mediterranean Waves" was its refreshing and unapologetic approach to sensuality. In a genre that sometimes tiptoes around the topic, L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox embrace open and honest portrayals of intimacy and diverse relationship structures. As someone who values intimacy-positive narratives and representation of different relationship styles, I found this aspect of the book particularly compelling.
Sam's journey of rediscovering herself isn't just about emotional healing; it's also about reclaiming her sensuality and exploring connections without the baggage of past experiences. The inclusion of LGBTQ+ and CNM relationships felt natural and integrated into the storyline, rather than being token gestures. It was refreshing to see these relationships depicted with the same level of emotional depth and complexity as more conventional pairings.
While the "spice level" is definitely present, it serves a purpose in the narrative, highlighting Sam's journey of empowerment and self-discovery. It's not gratuitous; rather, it feels like an authentic part of her exploration of new possibilities. For readers who appreciate romance novels that aren't afraid to be open and inclusive in their depiction of relationships and sexuality, "Mediterranean Waves" is a welcome addition to the genre. It's a story that celebrates different forms of love and connection with honesty and warmth.

Sam's journey in "Mediterranean Waves" is a truly uplifting and engaging escape! After courageously untangling herself from a narcissistic relationship, our protagonist, Sam, embarks on a transformative healing journey to Greece, beautifully orchestrated by her thoughtful best friend, Nina. This isn't just a trip; it's a vibrant path to self-discovery, where every sun-drenched moment and new experience contributes to her growth.

The authors, L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox, masterfully introduce us to Lucian, the effortlessly charming American whose zest for living in the moment is infectious, and Jenny, the delightfully sassy sidekick whose witty remarks and supportive presence are a joy. Together, they guide Sam through breathtaking locales and genuinely life-altering experiences, making every step of her journey resonate with authenticity.

While the premise of finding oneself amidst stunning scenery is a beloved trope, L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox elevate it with their exceptional wit and remarkably relatable portrayal of Sam's internal struggles. Her journey towards healing feels incredibly genuine, and the resolution is wonderfully satisfying. "Mediterranean Waves" is more than just an escapist read; it's a triumphant celebration of self-discovery, brimming with heartfelt moments, sun-drenched fantasy, and a truly well-earned happy ending. It's a testament to the authors' skill that they can take a familiar narrative and infuse it with such fresh energy and profound emotional depth.

As someone who loves to travel and immerse myself in different cultures, I was particularly drawn to the setting of "Mediterranean Waves." L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox do a wonderful job of bringing Greece to life. Their descriptions of the scenery, from the stunning coastlines to the charming villages, are vivid and evocative. I could almost feel the Mediterranean sun on my skin and smell the fragrant air.
Beyond the picturesque backdrops, the book also touches upon the warmth and hospitality of the Greek people, as experienced by Sam. While the focus is primarily on Sam's personal journey and her interactions with Lucian and Jenny, the cultural nuances of Greece are subtly woven into the narrative, adding another layer of interest for readers who enjoy armchair travel.
I appreciated how the authors didn't just use Greece as a pretty backdrop but integrated it into Sam's healing process. The slower pace of life, the emphasis on connection, and the beauty of the surroundings all contribute to her sense of renewal. While the romantic elements are present, for me, the true appeal of "Mediterranean Waves" lies in its ability to transport the reader to a captivating location and offer a glimpse into a different way of life. If you're a travel enthusiast looking for a story that combines personal growth with a rich cultural setting, this book is definitely worth exploring.

Okay, let's be real – sometimes you just need a book that transports you to another world, preferably one with sunshine, gorgeous scenery, and maybe a few equally gorgeous people. "Mediterranean Waves" delivered on all fronts! From the moment Sam landed in Greece, I felt like I was right there with her, smelling the sea air and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox paint such a vivid picture of Greece; I could almost taste the olives and hear the waves crashing. And the characters? Well, Lucian definitely brought the heat! His flirtatious banter and "live life to the fullest" attitude were infectious. Jenny added the perfect dose of sassy fun, creating a trio that I genuinely enjoyed following on their adventures.
The plot itself is relatively straightforward – a woman healing from a bad relationship finds herself and maybe a little (or a lot) more along the way. But honestly, that's exactly what I was looking for. It was pure escapism, a delightful break from reality. If you're craving a mental vacation filled with beautiful landscapes, charming characters, and a touch of romance, then grab a copy of "Mediterranean Waves." It’s the perfect book to curl up with when you need to dream of sun-drenched shores and new beginnings. Consider this my official recommendation for your next mental getaway!

If you're looking for a book that will make you laugh out loud while simultaneously warming your heart, then "Mediterranean Waves" is your ticket! L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox have infused this story with a delightful sense of humor, particularly through the interactions between Sam, Lucian, and Jenny. Their banter is sharp, witty, and genuinely entertaining.
Sam's initial awkwardness as she navigates the post-breakup world is both relatable and funny. Her internal monologues often had me chuckling. Then you throw in Lucian's sarcastic charm and Jenny's no-nonsense attitude, and you've got a recipe for comedic gold. The situations they find themselves in, whether it's navigating cultural differences or dealing with unexpected travel mishaps, are ripe for humor, and the authors definitely deliver.
While the book touches on some serious themes, like emotional recovery, it never gets bogged down in melodrama. The overall tone remains light and optimistic, making it the perfect read for when you need a pick-me-up. Yes, there's a romantic element, but it's woven in with the humor, making it feel less saccharine and more like a natural progression of Sam's journey of rediscovering the fun in life. If you appreciate a book that doesn't take itself too seriously and prioritizes making you smile, then dive into "Mediterranean Waves." You won't be disappointed!

So, our protagonist, Sam, finally managed to untangle herself from the digital tentacles of a narcissist. Cue the "healing journey" to Greece, orchestrated by her well-meaning best friend, Nina. Because nothing screams "self-discovery" like dodging sunburns and navigating throngs of tourists, right?
Enter Lucian, the obligatory charming American who spouts lines about living in the moment with the practiced ease of someone who's used them countless times. And Jenny, the sassy sidekick whose main purpose seems to be echoing Lucian's sentiments with extra eye-rolls. Together, they drag Sam through a series of picturesque locales and presumably life-altering experiences.
Look, I've seen this trope play out more times than I've had lukewarm coffees in overpriced European cafes. The "broken soul finds themselves amidst stunning scenery and attractive strangers" narrative isn't exactly groundbreaking. However, I'll admit the authors, L.E. Minx and T.J. Fox, manage to inject a decent amount of wit into the dialogue, and Sam's internal struggles feel genuinely relatable, even if the solution feels a tad too convenient. If you're looking for an escapist read with a guaranteed happy ending and a healthy dose of sun-drenched fantasy, "Mediterranean Waves" will probably hit the spot. Just don't expect any profound philosophical revelations along the way.

Mediterranean Waves is one of the books that had me emotional and a bit conflicted. The story follows Samantha, a woman who breaks up with her emotionally abusive bf and is urged to take a trip to find herself. She travels to Greece and meets three people, each bringing out a different aspect of her and bringing clarity to who she really is.

I loved the characters. Sam starts off shy and critical of herself, letting people's opinions get to her. By the end, she decides to trust herself/her intuition.
Nina is Sam's feisty best friend who initially urges Sam to go to Greece and live life without restraint.

Lucian's unapologetic, go getter attitude was fun but he got on my nerves with his innuendos and constant need to screw. Jenny's playful demeanor and ability to draw Sam out of her shyness was cute. But Adonis... whew, he was a gentleman and I couldn't stop smirking at his interactions with Sam.

The spice was fantastic. Sam's sexual awakening felt authentic. The difference between her three lovers kept me wondering about whom she would choose. My main issue with the spice is the lack of protection. Not a fan of that.

Some parts felt a little rushed and I was a little disappointed with the abrupt ending. It was a good story if you want a quick, spicy read.

Thanks to Laura and T.J for the early copy!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. There were quite a few typos and the formatting was off, especially with the text messages, but I loved the story itself. There is quite a lot of sex, a lot of it is hot, but the word-choice really took me out of the scenes (fingers should not be “wiggling” inside of people!). Some readers might be turned off but the amount of sex between the FMC and people other than her HEA.

I was also really surprised by the ending. It seemed a little ridiculous to me that Greek police would turn over a tourist’s dead body to two random chicks he met on vacation and allow them the decision to cremate his body?? Up until that point, I really liked the book.

With some better editing, this could’ve been a fantastic read!

I received an early copy and was looking forward to this. I did not finish at page 138.

Unfortunately it didn't hit right with me. I thought the dialogue was off and I didn't really like the main character. She thought everyone she met wanted to get into her pants 🤷‍♀️

It might have gotten better as it went along, but I gave it nearly 50% and it wasn't for me.

This was more of a 2⭐️ because of the cheesy banter and underwhelming writing overall…but the spicy scenes were well done so I threw in an extra star.
