The second year of high school is here, but Haru's been moved to another class all by himself! At first, the former chronic truant refuses to even enter the strange classroom, but with Shizuku's "encouragement," he slowly comes to terms with the change. Shizuku begins to feel she's really reaching Haru, especially compared to how things used to be, but then the unexpected arrival of a new student throws things out of whack, and Yamaken finally begins to move... What could possible come next?
Chaotic is the best word that I would use to describe this volume. It was filled with so many surprises and I can't help but feel so happy for most of the characters. I feel bad for some of the characters, but I love how they all support each other and are mature. This series just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to read more!
Once you've recognized your mistakes, it's easy enough to correct them.
Shizuku is a studybug who thinks of her grades as her first priority. Haru is a guy who was suspended on the first day of school due to a fight and hasn't returned to school since then. Shizuku is given the job to give Haru his homework along with trying to convince him to come back to school. Ever since the two have met each other, they felt this connection and feel comfortable in each other's presence. Slowly, their relationship moves from friends to something more. But they feel confused of what they feel for each other. The path that they choose is what will lead them to their futures, but will they walk together on this path or part ways.
I feel so happy for Haru and Shizuku, they are super cute! Haru is crazy and that is what makes this series so much fun to read!
Shizuku is going through so much, there are so many people around her and it's cool to see her reaction to everything. She is different from other girls and that's what I love about her. If people talk about her in a negative way, she knows how to protect herself. Haru is another great character who is easy going but is super protective when it comes to Shizuku. He is scared that she will leave him and I feel for him. Natsume is super sad nowadays and it's hard to read about her, I feel so bad for her. Sasayan looks out for her though and that's why I love his character! Micchan is another great character and I hope to see more of him. Iyo is a new character and I don't like her very much, but it's nice to see someone new. Yamaken is a bold character and I pity him. Everything he says is really easy to relate to.
This series is so much fun and I can't wait to read more! I am more than halfway finished this series and that's crazy. I wonder what's going to happen next and I can't wait to read more about more chaos!
+I'm actually enjoying this manga, though the comedy isn't that much. Characters are interesting and feel real, I just wish there was more info on Micchan's mom. She seems amazing.
this manga made me realize how it feels like if God is not the purpose of life Haru thinks his life is empty and he often feel emptiness In this manga, he concluded that it is because he is always think of himself (selfish) while shizuku think of her family and her study so she is happier than haru
this manga has interesting development I like how your friend's friends became your friend (nobody became somebody in you life) Yamaken's gang is nobody (enemy or the bad guys) at first then they started became acquaintance then friends
I also like Iyo's appearance she's add laugh in this manga iyo's character made me reflect and think that I am afraid I am similar to her
the most shocking in this manga is yamaken finally confess to shizuku he is brave enough to let his ego destroy since he knew the chance of being rejected is high and still doing so
but those event led haru and shizuku became official couple (well i dont get it because they act like couple since the second volume, they also admit they already did couple thing do like go home together, hangout, call each other first name and study together, and they realize see no differences except the calling change became boyfriend or girlfriend when they introduce each other to their friend) It is hilarious XD
Only 4 (or 5, if Kodansha brings out the special) volumes to go. That is so sad. :(
This volume brings us a new character, Iyo, a very highly annoying girl, but I will talk about it later on. There are also some confessions, and Haru and Shizuku finally move to relationship status (though, while I was cheering and fangirling, I was also wondering, weren't they already kind of like boyfriend/girlfriend with how they acted around each other, the small hugs and kisses, the likes/loves?).
I am also gradually getting a bit frustrated at Shizuku, she is so oblivious to so many things, and it is getting slightly annoying. I know you mean well girl, but you don't tell someone you held their birthday because you had nothing better to do. That is just rude, mean and not nice. I also didn't like the present she gave to Haru. I can imagine that for her it seemed the perfect gift, but that is not something you should give to people. She still is studying to death, something that was admirable in the first books, but by now is getting old and I just want to shake her up and say that she can do something fun for a change. I also wish she would be more honest with Haru, she clearly wants to be kissed, clearly wants to be held, but she jumps away every time Haru comes near. I can imagine this happening when one is just starting to know each other, but by now? It just seems odd and weird. And also frustrating, as we only have a few volumes left. I am worrying the mangaka will hurry through this, and that we will get a rollercoaster ride of stuff happening.
Haru is still a great character, but I was frustrated at his behaviour. His stalking, the way he says/does things, how he gets angry, it just gets old. You can see him change, but you can also see him slip back into his old ways. At times I also doubt his IQ, with the way he acts? The way he is like a child? It just doesn't fit him. And I just wish he would grow up. Come on guys, these characters are all 16 to 18, yet most of them behave like they are 12.
Iyo, urgh, why did she have to be added? She is the worst character in this whole series. I hated how she didn't get a hint, how she tried to do that to Haru when he was asleep, how she is messing with Shizuku, how she talks. "Iyo is much prettier." "I wonder if they like Iyo." "If you like, Iyo will take you there." Girl seriously, talking like that is cute on a 3-year old, but your age? No. I hope she won't get in the way of Haru and Shizuku, I hope she will just get out of the manga.
The story in this one was good, and it was fun to see our group in another setting again. This time the mountains.
The art was great and I still love it and how the characters look.
All in all, I really liked this volume, but due to some stuff, I won't rate it higher than 4 stars.

Haru being separated from the gang due to second-year class change is trying his best in making new friends, getting used to the new environment and new classmates. Since Haru had never celebrated his birthday, Shizuku surprises him with cake and gifts. Iyo the new character being introduced in this volume turns out to be Yamaken's little sister, a first year at Haru and company's School and who fell in love with Haru at first sight. She became a part of the group immediately after meeting Asako. She likes Asako because she is cute and kind. Iyo seems to be a little dramatic kind, who wants to fall in love with someone and wants attention. Yamaken couldn't hold his love for Shizuku any longer so he confesses to her and gets badly rejected... but thanks to him Shizuku and Haru are finally going out. Even though they have no clue what to do while they are "going out". Yamaken wishes Shizuku and Haru luck, but he is not backing out yet. He is just waiting for a situation to swoop Shizuku from Haru... even though he says he is not the kind who steals from others. Haru and the gang with a new member Iyo go for their summer vacay to the mountains, Ooshima and Yuuna couldn't make it because they were going somewhere else. However, upon reaching the campsite they meet Yamaken and gang right next to them. So together they start their summer mountain vacation, though things are awkward between Yamaken and Shizuku they sort things out in order to have fun.
Next volume the Summer vacation continues, and I think two other people who are a nuisance are joining the gang. And I think everything will be a mess, or it might not be. Who knows!?
I read this series on a whim while waiting for Ao Haru Ride updates. I never expected to love this one so much!! I love the illustrations of the mangaka and the plot of the story too. It's filled with cutesy scenes and such (though not all of it).
The story starts with a misunderstanding on Haru-kun's side, as he thinks that Shizuku is a friend of his. The guy is pretty dense on just about everything though, so that explains it. From this encounter then starts a rollercoaster ride.
Shizuku (the female protagonist) on the other hand, is so straightforward (and I love that about her) up towards the end.
I wouldn't want to overhype this read because I'm probaly late but this is really good. Towards the end of the manga made me feel somewhat unhappy because it was coming to an end and when it did ended I felt empty (and the never ending search for the next best manga begins! ;/). So much for that, I want/ed to read more of this.
When I first saw the cover I was wondering who the other girl was I thought she looked like a regular and I was right in my assumption!
The Volume had so much going on, so Chaotic but yet so many good moments that had been developing for quite a few chapters finally come to head and now there are some some different dynamics to explore!
Okay, for all the weirdness and stagnant drama (you know, everything is really intense but nothing actually happens) it was actually really moving and deep. I may or may not have teared up a little.
However, the pace is killing me. I know this is slice of life, but still. STUFF, Y WON'T U HAPPEN?
As the volumes progress they get more fun! You would think I would get annoyed of the typical rival and jealousy trope but honestly Robico adds a twist that makes it a lot more enjoyable!
I thought Iyo would be so cute and such a baddie who wouldn’t take anything from her but tbh she’s like a mix of Haru and Natsume LOL. Speaking of Haru and Natsume idk how I’ve forgotten to mention how iconic their friendship is!!
I FIND IT HILARIOUS THAT IYO AND YAMAKEN ARE RELATED LIKE JSVSHWJW THEY BOTH LIKE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP TOGETHER LIKE HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS UP LMAOOAO
Anywho this volume finally put the names of all three of Yamaken’s boys, I already knew George and Maupo (I THOUGHT IT WAS MABO) and now I know Tomio! I wish the names were more said because they’re characters we see often but they’re just used for clowning 😭😭
So the last chapter was them enjoying summer and the author had every right to use the beach episode but they put a twist on it and made them go camping! That’s what I find so fun about this manga, like it’s your average plot and story but with so many amusingly ridiculous idiosyncrasies!
I’m hoping to see Sasayan and Natsume’s arc because I know they have to be a thing!! Also Haru’s brother and Andou (Haru’s lazy(?) bodyguard) will be coming to the camping area that the whole gang is at.
I feel like the author is closing in on what she (I think right) wants the end to be since I’m getting the feeling of seeing a few more arcs before an epilogue! I felt so 🥺😔 the first time I read manga to the end and its just more meaningful with a story I quite liked when I was younger!
chapter 29: i love how irritated Yamaken and Mitty get at the fact that Haru is naturally smart💀 i love seeing Haru grow and understand social cues and stuff. i’m so proud of him😭🖤 i also love seeing Mitty grow and think of Haru and to make him happy. the way he cried because she was being so kind to him on his birthday😭🖤
chapter 30: YAMAKEN PULLING MITTY IN CLOSE SO THAT SHE DOESN’T BUMP INTO THAT DUDE AHHH i’m so here for Natsume and Iyo’s friendship IYO IS SO STRAIGHT FORWARD I LOVE IT BYE never mind i don’t like Iyo🙄 just cause she’s “prettier” doesn’t mean she’s better than Mitty smh also i thought Haru and Mitty were official now ffs🙄 I THOUGHT IYO LOOKED LIKE YAMAKEN OMG YAMAKEN CONFESSED OMGGG
chapter 31: i love how shocked Mitty is, it’s as if she stared straight into Medusa’s eyes💀 Yamaken is so hot i can’t😮💨 ahhh i love the way Haru lifts Mitty up to ask her out😭🖤🖤
chapter 32: Haru and Mitty’s date was so hilarious😭😂 i really don’t like Iso, girlie was about to SA Haru whilst he was sleeping… and the way she keeps insulting Mitty is not it plsss the way Mabo, Tomio, and George tackle-hugged poor Natsume💀 not Iyo telling Haru to look at her in a bikini🙄 i love that Tomio and Mabo said that she’s stuffing💀 Mitty trying to be besties with Yamaken again is everything😭🖤 YAMAKEN SMILING WARMS MY HEART AHHHHHH also i wholeheartedly believe that Sasayan has a crush on Natsume

Not sure how I feel about Yamaken's weird little sister, who's now at school with the rest of them, but it is nice to see a bit more of his family. Also funny how very different their social classes are, with their cabins in the mountains and $1,000 bottles of wine.
There was a lot of major progress in this volume, with Mitty and Haru starting to date, after Yamaken finally plucked up the courage to confess - and, as everyone expected, to be rejected.
I liked that Mitty was sad about the awkwardness of losing a friend she'd valued, and I'm glad that she took some steps to mend that near the end of this volume. Haru's jealous, still, but also seemed to understand a little - after all, he's had his own experience with rejecting a friend he had no romantic interest in, but still wanted to keep in his life.
Are Mitty and Haru great as an actual couple at this point? No, not really, but it's nice that Mitty just wants the two of them to work on figuring things out together.
We are introduced to YET ANOTHER love rival (... what’s with this manga series and rivals....)!! And this time I actually can’t stand them because of their personality.
Weren't they already dating?.... Ugh....I can't stand when people refer to themselves in the 3rd person. 🤦♀️ Yay, at least they are dating now. Still seem a bit selfish but had their selfless moments....ish.

I'm gonna stop here for now. I was already getting bored with all the nothing happening, I felt no chemistry between Haru and Shizuku, and then Iyo appeared referring to herself in 3rd person. No thankss
