I should’ve known Tatum Taylor was nothing but a pretty little liar when I caught her trying to sneak into my concert. After I let her into the arena, then saw her in the crowd, I couldn’t help but invite her onto the stage and take a birthday shot with her. We spent one night together before I asked for her number and she warned me to keep my distance. She’s engaged, after all. Or so I thought, until we run into each other again. Now she’s my pretty little maid, and the pain in my backside until my band goes back on tour. Then again, I guess there are worse ways to spend my time than by burrowing under Tatum’s skin the same way she burrowed under mine before leaving me high and dry. Pretty little liar, are you ready to play by my rules now?
Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
“She clearly loves him. Has always loved him, if I had to guess. And competing with a dead guy? Call me a selfish prick, but I want to. I want to compete. I want to erase the pain in her eyes. The tremor in her voice. I want to erase all of it, if only to stop her from hurting like she clearly is right now.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️.5
If you have not read one of Kelsie Rae’s books let this be your sign to start this series! This has been a five star series for me and when I say I am hanging on to the edge of my set for the last book, oh man! July cannot come any sooner!
This story was such a heartwarming journey all the way though! The character growth that Tatum went through from page one to the last paragraph was so beautiful! And don’t even get me started on our MMC! The way Paxton supported her in being whatever she needed in every stage of her grieving was breathtaking to read!
Archer! 😢 There are no words! 💔fabulous writing!
Also loved the little sneak peak from the characters in her next series! I am very intrigued…. Are we getting a twist on mafia romance ….? 😉 💗
I’ve been bugging Kelsie to fix Tatum since A Little Complicated and she definitely did in a way I never could have imagined. Pax is so amazing with Tatum and helping her find herself again. Tatum fights back hard and is so sassy and guarded but man is she going through it but Pax is always there for her regardless. I loved this book so much Kelsie did amazing and Pax and Tatum are some of my favorites.
This book was everything. I always knew Paxton was going to be an amazing MMC and have been insanely impatient waiting for Tatum to get her happily ever after. Tatum is not in a good place. She even years later is struggling with Archers death. Paxton is the most patient and understanding man. The introduction of a new place and new people adds an amazing dynamic. Getting to watch Rory and Tatum on their own, having their own adventures. Watching Tatum move on with her life and find love was a wild ride. As always getting to see characters we live like Theo and Blakely is always fun. Kelsie truly did an amazing job writing these characters. Writing their healing process. This is really my favorite of this series.
I love this series, I woke up at 4am to read the entire book before work!! However, I wish the wedding scene would have taken place during the story and introducing him to the family. The rekindling of the relationship with the sister too. I wish Kelsie’s editor would have encouraged her to expand on these parts. I hope the next book digs into the feelings & turmoil more… similar to the orginal series those made me FEEL something. This was predictable and not in the best way.
ok girl i think youre hating ophelia a little too much at this point its been like 7 years bro get over it, honestly this one was not my fav she kinda pissed me off and i do not want to read about a blonde man
I knew this book was going to destroy me, and I was absolutely right. The second Tatum started writing to Archer, I knew exactly how this book was going to end, and despite that, I still sobbed like a baby through that entire damn epilogue 😭😭
Every single person on this planet deserves someone who will love them as deeply as Pax loves Tatum. This man is the epitome of everything a partner should be; the way he hangs on Tatum's every word, the way he knows exactly how she'll react before she even does to any and every situation, his complete and utter understanding and patience and overall just how deeply he truly loves her not in spite of her broken pieces but because of them.
He says he wants to compete with Archer even knowing how impossible it will be, but he never gives up, and he never actually makes Tatum choose. He gives her time to mourn, to really, truly, finally grieve this loss that she's been fighting herself to work through this entire time, and he's there every single step of the way. And even when he screws up, he owns it, and she forgives him for it because it's impossible not to. Pax has the biggest heart, and Tatum is hopeless when it comes to him.
And Tatum's journey 😭😭😭 I can't even get into it fully because I'll start weeping onto my phone, but I'm so proud of her. For finally facing her grief, for finally reconciling with Lia and Mav, for opening her heart up again and putting Archer to rest. He'll always be in her heart, the same way he'll stay in everyone's and watching her finally reach the point where she can be happy and content in her happiness without guilt... I honestly have never been happier.
I loved this book. This has become my favorite Kelsie Rae book of all time. I'm so happy to be a part of her Patreon and honored to have been given an ARC so I could fall for Pax and Tate just a little early 🩷
Now... onto my MOST ANTICIPATED coupling of the series. Jax and Rory, I have been patient, and I'm so glad the wait is almost over!!!!

Paxton was nothing like I thought he would be. This super sexy rockstar who loves Tatum. Tatum has been self-destructing since Archer's death and has pulled away from everyone she loved. She has a one-time rule but Paxton somehow gets past her defenses and pursues her. As he does, she starts to realize it's okay to love again and move on. This series has been awesome but I think Kelsie has saved the best one for last.
**ARC Review** Book 5/6 of the "The Little Things" series.
Tatum and Paxton. These two have my whole heart! This book will have you on the edge of your seat. Tatum is still hurting from Archer's death and is not letting anyone near her heart.. or so she thought.. Pax being Tatum's back bone and not giving up on her, even during her most vulnerable time in her life. Paxton does everything in his power to keep her safe and finally make her feel loved, seen and cared for in the way she deserves. Finally, after following her heart she is letting him in, and that is the best thing she did for herself! I am still in awe on how their story unfolds. Tatum found the man who is finally her forever. Thank you Kelsie for another AMAZING story! One of my new top favorites!
Favorite Quote: “Because no matter how many times you deny it, I know you’ve thought of me, too.” -Paxton
Stop! If you haven't read "A Little Complicated" please do so first. Miss Kelsie Rae you ripped out my heart again with this novel by including Archer into it 😭. Oh how badly I wanted to wrap up Tatum in a big hug each time she wrote a letter. I absolutely loved the fact that Paxton did not give up the "chase" and even stopped some bad habits for her! I enjoyed watching Tatum finally taking a chance and opening herself up to Paxton and seeing Paxton be so patient! Absolutely one of the best books in this series!
2.75⭐️ I feel bad for giving this such a bad review (and long, sorry😅) because I love Kelsie and all of her books. I’ve had some characters I didn’t really like/connect with and others I’ve loved, but she always pulled it together in a way that made me love the story. And since this was Tatum’s story, I was fully prepared for the issue of grief and how she “overcomes” it and I was excited to read it, BUT…
I could not STAND Tatum. I found her to be incredibly reckless, a liar (which is something I cannot stand), irresponsible, and also so selfish. And I understand that everyone deals with grief differently, but she wasn’t just grieving. She was spiraling, and honestly, it felt like she was pulling sweet Rory down with her. I almost dnf-ed this book four times before I even got to 40%, but I held out in hopes that Kelsie would change my opinion on Tatum.
And Paxton— I loved Paxton but I wanted to shake him sometimes. Tatum constantly lied to him at the beginning and he kept coming back. Like dude, you deserve better than to be lied to constantly. But at the same time, I’m glad he was there for Tatum because she obviously didn’t care about herself.
As for Tatum and Ophelia, Tatum held a grudge for YEARS instead of just talking to Lia and letting out all her feelings and hearing Lia’s in return. Do I think that she was valid in her thoughts? Of course, I do! We all grieve differently. But to hold on to these feelings of hate toward her sister without even talking to Ophelia, drove me nuts. Especially considering the fact that Ophelia constantly reached out and tried to connect with Tatum. Ugh, I can’t stand bad communication. Tell people how you feel, don’t internalize it.
As for other parts I’m disappointed in: - Tatum’s parents. Why did they let her spiral for soooo long? Like it didn’t make sense to me considering what you know about them from their book in the Don’t Let Me series. - I wanted the wedding scene (I’m hoping we will see this in Jaxon and Rory’s story). -I also wanted a scene where Ophelia and Tatum see each other in person after they “repair” their relationship.
Now things I did like: -Tatum finally coming to the realization that yes, she’s a b*tch and she handled things wrong. -Paxton never giving up on her. Even when she probably deserved for him to just leave, he didn’t and that’s admirable. -Rory for finally saying something to Tatum about Archer and Mav, and essentially putting her foot down.
Overall, I’m glad I ended up finishing and not dnf-ing, but I will say, this is my least favorite book written by Kelsie. No shade toward Kelsie, because I still love her, I just did not love this book.
If you did? Awesome! I’m so glad you loved it. It just wasn’t for me.

I don’t say it often, but the mmc deserved better than the girl weirdly hung up on a guy she never had.
Tatum’s level of grief was unhinged to the point that it didn’t even feel like it was about Archer anymore. It seemed more like an outlet or a crutch, perhaps, for all her insecurities and years of resentment towards her sister that she just wrapped up in somewhat acceptable circumstances.
Pax deserved better, considering, he basically carried the plot on his shoulders. Granted, there wasn’t much to carry—the book was surprisingly bland and stagnant.
I think I enjoyed it mostly due to the sentiment I harbor for those families, since it’s been quite a few books, starting with the parents’ series. If it was a first book in an unknown series, I’d probably rate it lower and drop the series, because this book, on its own, was just boring. And kinda weird, with the ghost of Archer hanging over it uncomfortably.
“A Little Complicated” broke me. Literally tore me in half. The other books in this series mended my heart a little bit. And then there’s “A Little Broken”. This book put every piece of me back together and my heart grew at least 3 sizes at the end. Tatum’s grief and longing for Archer was so visceral and raw, and I felt every single piece of it through Kelsie’s words. Tatum’s letters to him made me sob. I think her poor coping was super relatable and even understandable, and I was so glad when she realized her mistakes. I will never stop loving and appreciating their found family. I’ve loved these characters for so long, and seeing Rory support Tatum unconditionally, even through her own grief, was truly beautiful. There isn’t another way to describe their bond: it’s just beautiful. And then there’s Paxton. Sweet, sexy Paxton. I loved getting to know him more through this story, and I adore the way he loves Tatum through the years. I couldn’t love this book more, especially because of the epilogue! I was already thrilled for the last book in this series, but my LORD! I cannot wait now!
Can we also talk about her next series announcement?! I screamed. I am shaking in my boots, I’m gonna die.
Every book I read by Kelsie is amazing. I literally cry happy and sad tears with every story. Tatum and Pax’s story is no different. I loved that he never gave up on her when he had many opportunities to run. I feel like an angel sent Pax to Tatum when she needed him most. I’m glad she was able to heal her broken heart to love again. ❤️❤️
Amazing. So good. The emotions that Tatum felt I could feel too. Pax was the perfect choice for her. The spice is great. I am obsessed with Kelsies writing style.

Tatum and Pax are two characters we met in previous stories within this series. And while we know some of their ‘issues’, we really learn about them in this story. Tatum is a great character who just needs time and peace to heal her. She’s having a hard time really living and not just existing. Good thing Pax is patient and eventually loving towards her. Because he knows she’s it for him. These two meet at a concert. She believes Pax is a security guard even though he’s actually the guitarist in the headliner band. Of course, if she had been paying attention to her best friend she would have install have known this. But to me, this was an awesome meet cute!
This book was incredible! It was a very different relationship from what we have seen with the other characters in this family but in the best way. The slow burn between Pax and Tatum kept me wanting to read faster to see what turn their relationship took next. I love the change in Pax through the book that shows how much Tatum has had him sucked into her orbit from the start! I also loved the healing that slowly happened between Tatum and the rest of the family because seeing her exile herself in the other books wrecked me!

Holy WOW!!! Definitely by far my favorite!!! Tate and Pax are just everything!!! Chemistry of the charts!!! I love their journey to happy!!! The suspense was a 10 romance 10 and hotness 10!!! 10 star read!!! It was great catching up with the rest of the gang but this story right here has stolen the show!!!
I liked it. Pax was so charming that I couldn’t help but fall in love with him. I already liked Tatum in the other book, but this just made me understand and appreciate her more. Still, I wish there were some scenes with her and Ophelia and the rest of the gang. And I don’t know, I just wish her reconciliation with her sister had been more emotional, and I also wanted scenes where her family could see her happily in love with Pax.
Anyway, PRINCESS RORY BUCHANAN’S BOOK IS NEXT AND I’M SO HAPPY AND EXCITED. JAXON BETTER WORK SOOOOOOO HARD FOR MY GIRL. ALSO, PLEASE GIVE ME JAXON JEALOUSY SCENES WHEN HE SEES RORY AT THE WEDDING WITH DODGE
I’m so disappointed in this book. I honestly don’t even know if it had potential. I was dreading reading it because of how hung up on archer she was and also how negative she was with things. Literally 40 chapters in and she finally wrote a note to archer about how she met someone. Poor pax. Like I get it she was hurting but it just drug on and on and on for years.
Like she’s delusional and told pax she was engaged and said archer?? WHAT?! It’s been yearrrrsssss. And the resentment she has towards her sister??
I’m just being cynical I think because I’m such a positive person. But Kelsie didn’t do her usual greatness with this book IN MY OPINION GUYSSSSS.

Kelsie always delivers when it comes to character development. I have yet to have read one of her books where I didn't fall in love with both the FMC and MMC. Throughout the Little Things series Tatum has always annoyed me, but after reading her book I couldn't be more obsessed with her fun, badass, brave personality! Kelsie did such a great job at telling Tatum's story and her struggles, as well as giving the reader a glimpse at how people truly grieve in different ways. I truly enjoyed watching Tatum's character develop and seeing how Pax helped her get there. I had a feeling I would like Pax, but I can now say he was definitely everything I hoped for! I loved the Wrecked Roomates Series and the Don't Let Me Series and this book was a beautiful mix of both.
Although I did enjoy the new characters, new place, new relationships, and other differences from Tatum/Rory life, I did miss more on the other characters from the Little Things Series. I also felt like there was a build up about Pax's supporting characters and their lifestyle and then it was all of a sudden no big deal after a conversation with his best friend.
Lastly, the little glimpses into Rory and the teaser at the end by Jackson left me internally screaming! I need their story ASAP!!!!
Gonna try to keep this review spoiler free.. This story did not disappoint!! Honestly, I used to find Tatum completely annoying. It turns out, I just didn’t understand her. Well, this book changed all that! Who knew one concert could change so much? 🤷♀️
When Tatum sees Paxton for the first time it’s only for the length of a single red light. But, he actually gets her to smile for the first time since her world got turned upside down. A few years later, after Tatum has found her own way to cope with life after loss, she meets Pax again. This time she’s 21 and sneaking into a concert. Not just any concert, HIS concert. After a single night together, she tells him she’s engaged and runs out of his life never expecting to see him again. Imagine both of their surprise when she shows up a few years later in the most unexpected place. She has a new address and a new job.. as his maid. 👀 This book had me laughing, crying and even doing that thing where you kick your feet and squeal! Paxton has become my new favorite MMC of the Little Things series! To find out how, and why,you gotta read the book!! P.S. this is another book that should come with a complimentary pack of Kleenex..
When losing your first love, who had no idea you loved them, rocks your life so hard you become a shell of yourself when it comes to relationships and vow to never open your heart to love again… what do you do when someone comes along and shows you without a doubt that they see you and want you despite your flaws and grief?
Tatums life was rocked at a young age when she lost who she believed could be the love of her life… yet he had no idea she felt that way.
When she meets Paxton by chance on her birthday it sets in motion feelings that Tatum hasn’t felt in years and has no intention of acting on, so when they meet up again years later, is it bad luck on her part or fate bringing them together? Can they overcome their pasts and find a way to be with one another in their future?
I loved that both characters had hard pasts that left them with their own forms of trauma they needed to work through, alone and together.
This definitely wasn’t your sunshine and rainbows romance, there was a lot of pain, sadness, trauma and misunderstandings throughout Tatum and Paxtons story and it made for such a raw and heartfelt read. You felt both of their pain so thoroughly, and I loved how hard Paxton worked to prove to Tatum that he was someone she could truly trust and lean on through her grief and subsequent healing.
Once again, Kelsie Rae has crushed it. 𝑨 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒏 was a beautiful book. Following along with Tatum as she healed, after hurting for so long, was incredibly heartwarming. I was happy to see her find love again and “𝗉𝗅𝖺𝗒 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗇𝖾𝗑𝗍 𝖼𝗁𝗈𝗋𝖽”. The entire note change analogy was moving. I loved how it was applied and woven into the story. I adored Pax + Tatum together. Pax was patient, loving, and perfect for Tatum. They understood each other and shared a deep emotional connection. Very invisible string coded.
ARC Review I knew I'd need some tissues while reading A Little Broken. And I was right! I felt Tatum's story progressed naturally and evenly throughout her journey of healing and the stages of her grief. Her character growth over this book felt real and positive.
The chemistry between Tatum and Paxton was jumping off the page from their very first meeting. To be loved is to be seen. Paxton must have x-ray vision where it comes to Tate. He is thoughtful, supportive, patient, and passionate. He shows his love with his whole heart and soul. He is immediately put on my top 10 list of book boyfriends.
Kelsie Rae listens and takes notes from her reading audience. Tate's first time on Pax's bike, chef's kiss! I remember seeing that video in Kelsie's reading group on FB. 😉
Usually, my favourite parts in this series are when the families all come together. This time was a little different, and I understand why. I was hoping to see Paxton get introduced to the families towards the end. But I'm guessing Kelsie might be saving that for her next book, A Little Crush. If that hijacked epilogue is anything to go by, we will see lots of family events... I can't wait!!
I wish I could have read this book as slow as possible to savour it. But I just couldn't put it down.
I love this series, I love the characters and all the easter eggs linking all the other books together. I am so grateful to be a part of Kelsie's Arc team and excited to see what's coming next with the MMC's that we met in this book!
I think I say this in every review but Kelsie was born to write. Her stories, characters, banter, underlying messages are all so incredible every single time. It doesn’t matter the subject matter, she always nails it with grace, empathy and some humor. Her writing immediately draws me in every time. Before I realize it, Im halfway through the book.
Tatum… going into this book there wasn’t a whole lot to know about Tatum besides her strained relationship with Ophelia and her attachment to Archer. This book went above and beyond what I could have imagined for her. The character growth she endures is both beautiful and heartbreaking in the best way. That girl just needed a damn hug. Thank goodness for Rory sticking by her side. Tatum is a broken heroine with a heart of gold to the max. Reading this was like watching your best friend’s healing journey in learning to love herself and others again.
Pax… I don’t have enough time to accurately describe how perfect this man is. His devotion to Tatum gave me all the heart squeezies. He never pushed too hard. He always seemed to know exactly what she needed. To find someone that knows you that completely? Even in a romance novel? Rare. But he did and he never gave up. I adore him.
This story was every bit beautiful and captivating. Many moments that made me tear up (flashback to book 1) and many that made me laugh. I loved Tatum’s spunk and tenacity. I loved how Pax gave it right back to her.
4.25⭐️ 3🌶️

Give this book a try 🤍
Thank you Kelsie and team for allowing me the opportunity to be an ARC reader for A Little Broken. I truly loved it.
Is this book title "A Little Broken" or was Kelsie trying to say I would be broken?! BECAUSE I will just tell you right now... I was surely broken before she put me back together. This book was so good. I cried, I swooned, I fell hard for Paxton, and I rooted for Tatum. I loved all his sides, plus all of hers.
I was worried this book would feel like to much of a different world being put into the little things series and not having hockey or the others in it as much, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It fit exactly in just like it was always meant to be.
If you have read this series- you know what happened and you know Tatum Taylor is anything for a happy colorful person, she is dark and sad and honestly she. is. broken. When she meets a rockstar, has a one night stand and pushes him away for so many years... it's only natural that fate catch up to them. When Pax finds out that she is in the same town- he makes a promise to hisself to not let her run away.. Tatum got away once before, but no matter what he is going to hold on as tight as he can and keep showing up for her.. I didn't know if he would ever get through to her...
AND YOU SHOULD READ THE BOOK RIGHT NOW AND FIND OUT! THANK YOU KELSIE FOR THE E-ARC! I loved it so much.
