She risked her heart to save him once. Now she’ll risk everything to bring him home.
Vanessa thought the hardest part was over when she saved Leo, the wounded wolf shifter who stole her heart. But just as their new life together began, danger tore them apart, leaving Vanessa determined to fight for the man—and the wolf—she loves.
Leo never intended for Vanessa to become entangled in his dangerous world. Now, held captive by those who see him as nothing but a beast, memories of Vanessa’s gentle touch are his only refuge. He knows she’ll never stop searching, but he fears the price she’ll pay might be too high.
As Vanessa gathers unexpected allies and prepares for a daring rescue, their bond proves stronger and deeper than either imagined. But to reclaim their future, they’ll need more than bravery—they’ll need trust, resilience, and the kind of love that refuses to surrender, no matter the odds.
The Healer and the Part Two is a heartfelt, steamy paranormal romance about choosing love, finding strength in unexpected places, and fighting for the family you make. It is the thrilling conclusion to Vanessa and Leo’s story.

The Healer and the Wolf ended with an anxiety ridden ending, I was excited when book 2 was available to read. This is the cutest story about finding love and a community of people that support and protect each other. Shifters have always kept to their own kind but with a war building they’ve had to start working together to survive a group of warlocks threatening to enslave and destroy them. Since book one, as the only human, Vanessa hasn’t shied away from doing her part to help. In book two however, she takes an even bigger role in helping to save her newfound family. This was the perfect ending to Leo and Vanessa’s story.
Ohhh my heart!! 🥹 The Healer and The Wolf: Part Two absolutely grabbed me from the first page and refused to let go until the very last word—and honestly, I loved every second of it. Roxie Ray delivered such a beautiful, emotional, and wild ride with this one, and it was everything I wanted (and needed) for Vanessa and Leo.
Vanessa is the kind of heroine I adore—fierce, stubborn, loyal to the bone. She refuses to back down, even when the whole world seems against her. Watching her rally allies and go to hell and back for Leo? I was ready to stand up and slow-clap in my living room. 👏 She’s not just rescuing her man—she’s fighting for her future, and it was SO powerful to see.
And Leo... my poor, beautiful, broken wolf. 😭 My heart absolutely ached for him while he was held captive. Even when he was at his lowest, he never gave up hope because he knew Vanessa would come for him. Their connection is so raw and pure and soul-deep, and Roxie writes it in a way that makes you feel it in your bones.
This story wasn’t just about survival—it was about trust. About refusing to let fear and pain win. About choosing each other again and again, no matter how dark things got. It’s steamy (helloooo, bonded wolf shifter chemistry 🥵) but it’s also so full of heart. The kind of love story that reminds you real strength isn’t about muscles or magic—it’s about how far you’ll go for the people you love.
If you’ve been rooting for Vanessa and Leo like I have, this conclusion will absolutely wreck you—in the best way. I finished it smiling like a fool and clutching my chest. 🥰
The Healer and The Wolf: Part Two is emotional, sexy, thrilling, and 1000% worth the journey. Trust me—you’re going to want to devour it. 🌙💖.
I wrote a whole two paragraph review waxing poetic and then my phone errored out and I lost it. So take two:
I've been hooked on this author since Part 1 of this book at the beginning of the second chapter when Ven describes her cats. I was sold on the humor immediately and knew I was gonna be in for a treat. On top of the stellar humor all of the characters feel realistic and super fleshed out. At no point did I feel a character, even a background one, fell flat. The romance was dynamic but so was the world building and I want so many more books for the rest of the pack and the world that she set up here. Would definitely recommend.

This book was incredible! I liked it way better than the first one. Somehow, Ven has found her place in the supernatural world. She has gained allies and friends, and in Leo, she has found family. The romance between them is so sweet. Leo loves Ven deeply, and she loves him with her whole heart. Cue the sappy tears. There was a greater sense of community this time around; a lot of new and interesting characters. It felt like something special. Ven finally found her family.
The plot was amazing! The little easter egg Roxie hinted at in the first book finally unfolded. It was a bit of a mystery that took the entire book for the answers, but it was a great twist. The magic was pretty impressive. The (villainous) brothers' powers were a bit surprising; they reminded me more of X-men than magical beings. The rescue missions were one of the best parts. They were pretty high stakes, so they left me on edge, and no wonder they led to some epic fight scenes. Speaking of fight scenes, the final battle was a doozy. I was slightly surprised by it, but it ended perfectly. This book was a little different from the usual Roxie, but I really enjoyed it.
Vanessa had saved Leo when she found the wounded wolf shifter she fell in love with. But it wasn’t long before he was kidnapped, and she refuses not to rescue him, no matter what it takes. He is not in a good place, cruelly used and abused by those who see him as an animal, a beast for their experimentation and cruelty. But Vanessa’s kindness and caring for others has gained her unexpected friendships. Will she and the others find and save Leo? Or will it be too late?
The storyline is not complex, but the author manages the reader’s emotions brilliantly, making us care deeply about the survival of Leo and the hope for a future for him and Vanessa whose fighting spirit will not give up. Grab your copy and follow her journey to try to save the one she loves with the help of the friends whose loyalty she has earned.
Sooo, by 60%, they'd defeated the big bad and for the next 20%, it kinda dragged with day-to-day stuff. At 80%, there was another big bad to defeat, and the remaining 10% was way too drawn out for the HEA. Still cozy and steamy like the part one, but a little too drawn out for my tastes.
Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off and was just as wonderful as part one! Vanessa really comes into her strengths here and it’s so beautiful to witness. The connection between her and Leo is palpable and I love their interactions. There is an incredible found family aspect to the story and Vanessa just takes everybody in. Even though money is tight and space is limited she doesn’t bat an eye. I really enjoyed this story!.

I read the first book a few weeks ago. Then I had to wait for the second to launch. “ Dramatic sigh!!” I have been engrossed in reading this book all morning. I enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed the story line. I like the twist. Read these two books.
This was a great ending to the duet. Im gonna be honest I normally dont read duets but im glad I did with that and shout out to Roxy for not making us wait a year for part two lol. Vanessa is so strong willed and hoenstly she is that girl. Watching her love Leo and be who she was meant to be is inspiring. I wouldnt considered this book spicy but it was def steamy with some lol moments tossed in! Just cause our girl Vanessa has healing hands doesnt mean she cant throw them.

Book 2 picks up where Book 1 left off, with Leo having been kidnapped as Ven and Ricky plot ways to get him back. This book is much more action oriented than Book 1, with more fighting, bigger battles, and more magic. The action scenes are exciting, the distraction scenes are funny (tourist bus, anyone?). Surprise powers emerge and help the team triumph. Secrets are revealed. Sacrifices are made and rewarded. Book 1 was the love story, cozy and sweet. Book 2 is the reckoning, the righting of wrongs, and an everlasting ode to undying love and loyalty.
Wow! Where to start? This is such a great part two of the story. It’s filled with action, magic, love, and friendship. I enjoy reading paranormal stories and this one did not disappoint. It gave me so many different emotions, and kept me on edge, in a good way. I loved it!

The Healer and The Wolf de Roxie Ray Parte 2
Argumento:
The Healer and The Wolf Part Two picks up immediately where book one left off. Leo and Ven are separated, because Leo was captured. While the first book in the series spent a lot of the story focused on building the relationship between Leo and Ven, the second book has a focus of defeating the brothers who are trying to harm shifters. Leo may be the alpha wolf of the pack but Ven comes into her own strength and power in book two. She is no longer a timid woman who is afraid to stand up for herself. She has faced enemies, found the love of her life, and is willing to fight to keep him by her side. In book two there are a lot of entertaining additional characters that are introduced who add to the development of the story. They bring much needed support to Leo and Ven, but also a levity to the story. Although there were some plot points that were introduced that were never followed up on in the book so I am uncertain why they were written. I feel this book is paced better than book one and does a nice job of bringing Ven and Leo full circle. I enjoyed the series and would enjoy reading about the other characters introduced in the story.
Leo got trapped when the door between him and Vanessa with Ricky trying to rescue others from another evil brother. But during the experiments and testing he thought of them to keep him sane knowing that they would free him. Others helped free the ones in the lab and blew it up and taking down the brothers. Vanessa found out that she shouldn’t be alive the brothers thought that they had killed all of the dryads, with help her vines were able to take down one brother and then helped with the other one. Still missing some of his pack but one of the pack felt the pull to Vanessa’s house took Leo to the cave where more of the pack were living. Needed help fighting the mother of the brothers they killed and with a lot of help they won.

I thoroughly enjoyed the second book of the Healer and the Wolf. This is NOT a stand alone and you need to read part one first! And if you read part 1 you will absolutely want to read part 2. Roxy Ray spins another very unique shifter story through these two books and the challenges the leads face is more than can be overcome in a single book. The characters are unique and the leads are richly written. I felt like there were some questions left unanswered in the story (nothing major, more like the why bad guys were doing things and what happened to side characters) BUT this was another entertaining read and again I loved the unique spin to the story enough to recommend and watch for more from this author.

Leo, and Vanessa's story continues in this second book. Together, they devise a plan to fight. Due to their working with others, they saved shifters. They formed a family of shifters, and magical people. They were able to defeat warlocks that bespelled shiters. The shifters were cursed to remain in their animal forms. Vanessa provided care for the shifters, to help them heal. She discovers her own powers in the process. Will they win the last battle? I enjoyed reading this book!!!! The storyline flowed well. There are twists, and turns in the plot. The characters were well developed, and realistic. This story has love, passion, family, battles, and victory.

I read both books and their story was fun from the start. I loved the slow build up. Finding out what happened to them - well somewhat. I gleamed that Frederick was her father and the mother, Morgana, had no grandmother feelings at all. I would have liked to know more of her dyrad background and the latent powers. Why didn't Leo give her the mate bite? Ricky took the one shower and never another? At least according to Vens nose doing the fight with the last brothers.. why was that mentioned? It was a good read, a few slow spots but I enjoyed both books.
What an amazing conclusion to this already awesome story. When Leo was captured Vanessa rallied the people to go save him. Here’s what I loved the most about this book. Vanessa doesn’t back down. She doesn’t tuck tail and run. She stands up and fights and goes after what’s hers. I loved that this was a dominant woman role being the protector and not the usual male role being the protector. It brought such an amazing aspect being written this way. A strong woman going after her man. This book brought the emotions, the grit, the spice. I absolutely loved this conclusion.

Roxie Ray does a really outstanding job in illustrating how kindness and gentleness can be a mending salve when one is swallowed by anger. It's a breath of fresh air in this climate to read a story where the characters generally try and grow and improve with each other. The intimacy and vulnerability in the simple hair washing scene really left me feeling more than most romantic subplots. Highly recommend, wish there was another book to follow whats ahead for the 2 of them and their friends.

This Book 2 of 2 in The Healer and The Wolf Book Series has an intriguing paranormal romance story, a well-crafted world, and interesting characters. These characters have complicated backgrounds, unique personalities and believable interactions. This story has a fated mates, caught and held captive, searching to rescue him, magic, secrets, experiments, danger, loyalty, adventure, twists, turns, trust, emotional connection, chemistry, and love. The thrilling conclusion which had me hooked from beginning to end.
Bit of a doesthedogdie.com type spoiler at very end of review This is an Incredible series. The FMC is sweet, smart, brave, and realistic. You can feel so much passion (not just the sexy kind) and emotion from the characters. A wonderful mix of real world and fantasy world that is very logical and points out things I always wish would be brought up in Urban Fantasy, but it's still magical and fun. I absolutely LOVED both books.
absolutely loved this follow-up to The Healer and the Wolf! It picks up right where book one left off, and the pace never lets up. Vanessa really comes into her own here—strong, brave, and fiercely loyal. I adored watching her fight for Leo and their growing found family.
There’s more action, more magic, and some great twists (that tourist bus scene? Hilarious!). The romance is still so sweet—Leo and Vanessa’s love felt even deeper this time. I didn’t want it to end, but the conclusion was perfect. Warm, emotional, and full of heart. I’m going to miss these characters!
I enjoyed the first book a lot. It was very character and relarionship driven with the rescues being more of a minor element of thr story. This book felt like the opposite. I found myself skimming a lot of the book because the rescues got a bit tired and everything was incredibly predictable. While predictable doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it didn't feel like the characters or relationships got much attention. Ven never spent any time learning her powers and Leo's trauma didn't seem to come into play at all. It just felt very rushed.
Plot was exciting and action packed and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. The characters really drove the story and they were just so awesome. Their fight for love was courageous and stunningly portrayed. Luv"d everything about this deer. Look forward to reading more from Roxie Ray. Enjoyed immensely and thoroughly and highly recommend this duology.

An absolutely amazing story. This is book two of The Healer and the wolf. A story about found family, healing others even though you hurt and making sure the people you love stay safe. Part 2 starts off with a BANG! and really doesn't stop. What I liked the most though, was that the characters pretty much stayed true to themselves no matter the mess they were in! And there are plenty of messes they get mixed up in for Part 2. The story is entertaining and has non-stop action going on throughout the story. And the ending is very feel good! Book 1 and book 2 are well worth reading!.

Vanessa has seen a lot in the last few months . Shifters exist. She can do magical things with plants and have been accepted into a pack. They just have to finish what taking out the rest of the brothers who are experimenting and killing all kinds of shifters. Making them serve him . I didn't see the ending coming. But it is a doozy. This is part two and it is so very good.

The author really made the reader feel that they were experiencing what the characters going through. I feel in love with Leo and wanted to help him get back his life and pack. Ven was especially great because I think most plus size women sometimes feel that there isn't anyone who can look past the exterior to who they really are. Great books!
“After how things ended in book one I was dying to see what would happened next! Definitely my breath broke for poor baby and what he had to endure again after being taken, everything was still chaotic and so unfair to all those involved. Again, whom couldn’t love those sweet cats? They were amazing and had me enamored lol. A due I definitely recommend about second chances after being broken and keep fighting as life will always give you light and hope.”
