Taku is a Japanese mystery writer. He is a member of the Honkaku Mystery Writers Club of Japan and one of the representative writers of the new traditionalist movement in Japanese mystery writing.
I had a hard time considering which was real and which was not (they all were fictional anyway). As someone who’s Ranpo fan, I would say this book is too short and it lacks the dynamic between murderer and detective as it always happened in detective Kogoro series.
There are a lot of his works and other authors’ mentioned in this book. I think it would be good for reader to be familiar with these works to get going.
There is ONE topic I would love to talk about but it would appear to be a major spoiler. So, I won’t write about it here.
