i had to use the german version because the other cover bothered me lol

this was such a good book although very academic and at times slow. i think everyone should read about him as his mental model is extremely impressive and goes to show what you can achieve when you don’t fall victim to others peoples incorrect takes in business. also he is a virtuoso so it is interesting to hear him speak

i will definitely be rereading and annotating the book as there is so much to absorb

This is a just collection of Charlie Munger’s speeches. Despite the elisions added by the editor, there’s still significant repetition across the speeches.

Speaking of the editor, this is hands down the worst edited book (4th abridged edition; 2023). I’ve ever read. There were multiple typos per page; mis-spellings, missing and mis-placed punctuation, missing spaces everywhere.

All considered, I’d skip the book and find transcripts of monger speeches elsewhere.

Could easily be a five star to some. It was a challenging read for me at times. Definitely didn’t want to pick the book back up after setting it down. Overall, the book has enormous amounts of wisdom and well worth the money.

A lot of great thoughts and ideas in here, but also very repetitive. Was an incredibly boring read for many sections and there’s not THAT much stuff that you can actually apply to your life on a day to day basis. Be multi-disciplinarian, there just saved you a month of reading.

I wish I could give this book 5 stars because I love the way Charlie thinks and the books gives a good idea about how his brain works

But it’s very repetitive
