I loved this picture book. It was an engaging book because on each page there were different textures describing the examples. For example, the tiger felt soft. Students are able to feel and see which helps connect what they are learning.

My toddler loves carrying this around! Great vocabulary building with nice colorful pictures. We have the bilingual version, it’s great!

This book is great for toddlers. It is a small board book that can not only be easily carried around but also introduces or reinforces five basic colors as well as descriptive vocabulary like shiny, fuzzy, fast, bumpy, and shimmery providing examples of each. The young learner can touch, feel, lift, or slide on each page as the colors are shown. Brightly colored simplistic illustrations also accompany each page highlighting one color at a time. In addition each page has an activity to engage the toddler such as crawl like a ladybug, roar like a lion, make a fishy face, put out their tongue like a frog, and spread their arms like butterfly wings. Lastly the final sentence asks the child what his or her favorite color is to start a discussion between reader and child. I highly recommend this book.

This book does very well to help young children learn their colors. It has different interactive features throughout to keep the child entertained. Also has certain spots to touch and feel to keep them entertained.
