Make sure to check all T/W. Collide Is a dark paranormal romance that's a spicy read it covers a lot of topics once you read it you’ll know why.

I’m definitely a fan of Kaine between him and one of his friends i won’t say who cause I don’t wanna spoil it for anyone I was laughing and kicking my feet. The banter and random moments of humor in this kept me wanting more. To be honest I still want more lol this story moves quickly meaning with every chapter something is going on you won’t be asking yourself when is it gonna pick up. I promise you’ll either be laughing or gasping

It gives vibes of a different type dark rom-com in a sense it’s spicy and funny when you least expect it which I love since it crept up on me Collide is a perfect balance of dark romance mixed with growth and finding their voices. Both main characters have a lot going on with the dual pov it gives you a sense of what’s going on and why.

The first few pages had me hooked and ready for the story. Yes, I love long book series however sometimes you just need everything in one book.

If you’re looking for a dark romance read with a twist and an amazing plot. it’s this right here.

One of my favorite moments - “You’re the first in the four years I’ve been here.”

If you like your romance with a shadowy twist and your heroes just a bit too obsessed, Collide is the kind of dark paranormal ride you’ll want to buckle up for.

Eden and Kaine are both dragging around some seriously heavy baggage—but instead of breaking them, it binds them. Eden literally can’t die (talk about a plot twist), and watching her unravel that mystery had me flipping pages like my life depended on it. Kaine? Whew. Possessive, intense, and definitely falling first. He’s the kind of MMC that makes you question all your standards.

With dual POV, forbidden romance, and forced proximity thrown into a paranormal blender of supernatural secrets and darker themes, this story doesn’t shy away from the heavy stuff. (Trigger warnings are a must-check.)

I’ll be honest—Eden’s weight insecurities popped up a little too often for my taste, but I also get how it shaped her character and gave her more depth. It made her journey feel raw and real.

Dark, twisty, and intense with a splash of the unexplainable—Collide is a solid pick for dark romance lovers craving something a little different.

(I truly wanted to love every inch of this but.. I can’t.)

I LOVED the premise of the book, but there was so.much.fighting. between the two mcs and for over half of it I found the fmc kinda insufferable with her negativity (I get that’s her whole “But she’s damaged and traumatized!” but I don’t need a reminder every chapter-).
The spice does spice, I’ll give credit where it’s due. But truly it just felt like them fighting or having some sort of bickering or miscommunication every other chapter.
I WISH there was more of the supernatural element to it. Specifically the last 5ish chapters is what I would’ve loved to see more of and expanded upon heavily rather than “okay here’s the explanation, enjoy” right at the end and then moves on because.. it’s the end of the book yk?

But *overall*, I did enjoy this read! I loved the lore we slowly learned about the characters, their traumas, their university research, the twists/turns, the hateable characters, and the cake has a special place in my heart.

Adrenaline packed and incredible story. When I thought I knew where the plot was heading, here comes a past trauma, spicy scene or a death to remind me that I know absolutely nothing about writing an awesome book and that’s the reason I'm reading them instead! I know we usually fall in love with the main characters but I truly loved Reese and I hope the Author writes a book about him.

PLEASE PLEASE please read ALL triggers before starting this. It's jam-packed with them, but that's what makes it my favorite kind of read.

***While I absolutely LOVED it, we're all uniquely gifted, and I want to respect your individuality. Please honor my review with the same kindness you'd offer your own***

"I finally feel free. I finally feel whole. I finally feel loved."

I went into this book blind. Did not except it to suck me in as much as it did. I cried, laughed, and screamed profanities. The bomb that was dropped 😲🫣... I was NOT expecting that, but it cleared up all my questions.

Eden and Kaine have become my next fav🖤

Obsession, spicy, dark, complex.

If I would of came across this naturally I honestly wouldn't of read it. The tropes are ones I like, for the most part, but I am not big on paranormal or supernatural themes. I really have to be in a mood for them. I had a friend suggest this book and insist that it was amazing. ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR FRIENDS. From the first chapter I was hook, line, and sinker in the story. There were so many elements to the story that wove together so beautifully, it was a perfect blend of plot, spice, drama, and comedy. Now the author in the dedication says "if you have a problem with the word c**k... I have bad news... 99 times.." I waited and waited and wondered did I read that right? Where is the steam? Where is that word? Stop flirting and slow burning and get to it already! WELL they did. AGAIN. AND AGAIN. AND AGAIN. You get the point. As always with books like these check triggers and all that. But if you are looking for a fresh ride with a crazy twist with some taboo. This is it.

So good! I laughed, I cried, I screamed. Eden had so much trauma to try and push through, and Kaine was beyond patient with her doubts. Their relationship was rocky at times, but I loved every minute of it. The banter! The internal monologue and the banter between characters was hilarious and had me laughing like I did with lights out. I love paranormal books in general, but the twist in this one was new and fun in its own way.
This author has a knack for making me fall in love with side characters, and I'm really hoping we get more of Reese! He's funny on his own, and i'm super curious what is actually going on with his family. He doesn't really talk about them in this book, but there's enough there to make me question his past. Also, Avery?? Hello shadow daddy?? Can we have more of him too please, cuz that was a tease and a half of a possible really good character lol

🖤Dark Romcom

If you love dark paranormal romances with a lot of spice I definitely recommend reading Collide! Eden and Kaiden both have extremely traumatic pasts that seems to follow them where ever they go! No matter what you do to keep them apart it won't happen and the plot twist will shock you!

Kaiden will do everything in his power to keep Eden safe and he's truly the definition of a possessive MMC😏 Eden try's to stay her self but just can't seem to stay safe and have a major weight insecurity.

Overall I truly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by Melissa Silva🖤 Thank you for picking me to be an ARC for Collide!

Collide is available as of today 🖤

Collide Review

This story was hauntingly beautiful. A paranormal romance that weaves together two halves of a soul destined to find one another. What I loved most was how it didn’t rush the connection. Instead, it lets you walk beside them on their broken, jagged paths, feeling every wound, every ache, and every small piece of healing that brings them closer.

It’s the kind of story that reminds you love isn’t always easy, sometimes it’s forged in pain, shaped by destiny, and written in the stars. Watching these characters grow, fall apart, and find their way back to each other was pure magic.

Collide by Melissa Silva is a dark paranormal taboo romance.

I was sent this book as an arc and went in nearly completely blind.

Please check your trigger warnings as this is dark and spicy.

This book made me laugh out loud - the banter is fantastic - which adds another dimension to this book.
For me it was a fast moving story lots going on to keep you engaged and I read it pretty quickly because of this.

The side characters are just as good as the main characters which I absolutely loved.

After losing her father, Eden must move cities and live with her mother & her husband while finishing college. Only problem is his son, Kaine also lives there and he was not so nice upon meeting. Kaine and his friends give her a hard time, one even hits her with his vehicle. It doesn’t take them long to make nice and then realize the attraction. There are numerous triggers in this book so Check the warnings if you have them. I give it a ⭐️ -taboo, ⭐️⭐️- paranormal, ⭐️⭐️⭐️- spice, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- trauma.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall & I would recommend it.

Eden may have thought her life was complicated before moving in with her mother… now that she’s met her new step brother Kaine, her life is more complex than she would’ve ever imagined. Get ready for a wild ride with a twist that’ll have your jaw on the floor. Collide has the perfect mix of romance and thriller to keep you hooked until the last page. Literally.

holy shit that was so good. The comedy, the trauma and the way both MCs had to overcome their own problems and learn to lean on each other. I really hope there's a second book because Reese was also top tier. There were so many dark aspects interlaced in this and a ton of moments that hit home with Eden. I really loved this story completely

The premise for this book was intriguing and I was very excited for it. Being able to come back after death and knowing nearly no one else can or how it happens was interesting. It was a journey to figuring out as to why it happened. I was excited the MFC and MMC were able to figure out, at least partially, why it was happening. Though I didn’t see the ending coming. Good book and premise

3.75 - I was hoping for more insight into the paranormal aspect. While a good book, that focused on the relationship and the trauma they both incurred, I would have like more in depth on the Lazarus instead of the few paragraphs here and there.

Who doesn’t love a spicy dark romance? Eden and Kaine have a lot of trauma to work through, it does however bring them together in a way that links their journey. This forced proximity, supernatural connection is the very thing that brings the most intense tension in all the good ways.
If you like dark and spicy with a side plot of paranormal then this book is for you.
Definitely check the trigger warnings!
Totally feel head over heels for the MMC

Thank you to the Author for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review of the book.

Eden, our FMC, is plagued by death. Death.. it keeps happening. And what makes it worse, you might ask? A new stepbrother, Kaine (Our MMC), adding to Edens tally of deaths. Boy, is Kaine a dick. Eden and Kaine, find out that they are attending the same university and are doing the same thesis project; A project on Lazarus Syndrome, its origins and how it works.

Lord have mercy the tension between our two main characters is intense, actual enemies to lovers kind of intense. There is witty banter. There is a lot of technically murder. There is a lot of actually murder.

The characters display a lot of personal growth during the story and that just adds to the stories unique view on death. In fact, the stories unique view on death is quite intriguing. I'd enjoy reading further books in this series *stares at the author* Its a series right? Cause I'm kinda sorta upset at the fact that Daddy Dom Reese is not a part of this relationship. He was set up in a way that I would expect him to become a part of the relationship in an lgbtqia kinda way. Besides that, I'm not super thrilled with how the story has ended(?) for him.

This book is well written, I didn't notice any errors or serious immersion breaking issues. I will admit I was not a huge fan of the rushed ending as such, as that could have been alluded to more in the story, and it would have been less of a "wut?" moment. But even with that, its still a good book. In fact, I'd actually recommend reading this book if you enjoy dark romance with a splash of death.
