Two enemies. One fake-dating romance. Unexpected fireworks.
Aspiring author Sarah should be happy—she’s just landed her dream job at the Romance Library. Instead, thanks to relentless writer’s block and the news that her cheating ex is bringing his girlfriend to her brother’s wedding in Spain, Sarah is reeling. Going alone isn’t an option. She needs a fake date. Fast.
The last person she expects to volunteer is Ben—the infuriatingly handsome playboy and romance-book-hating property developer Sarah’s been forced to work with to open the library’s idyllic reader’s retreat.
Sarah would rather stick pins in her eyes than spend time with a man who disrespects her favourite genre, but she has no choice. And it’s only for one weekend —how bad could it be?
Except when Ben impresses her family, then charms his way into Sarah’s good books and her knickers, the words suddenly spill onto the page faster than she can say ‘only one bed’ and he becomes her unexpected muse.
But with Ben’s time in town running out, will their story end in heartbreak? Or can they write their own happily ever after?
The Romcom Writer is a dual POV, steamy, enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating, small-town, forced proximity, only one bed, workplace romance. Ideal for fans of The Spanish Love Deception, The Hating Game and Book Lovers.

Please can I stay in Sarah and Bens world forever!!
This book is just so amazing it’s so dreamy from beginning to end. I adored the romance library on my first visit in the series and I can’t wait to return and read books 1 and 2.
There were so many book references, tropes that I just love and I legitimately loved every second I spent reading this book.
I was rooting for both Sarah and Ben from the beginning. I laughed with them, celebrated with them at the wedding in Spain (I would love to have witnessed Trent’s face in person) and just literally want Sarah to be my friend in real life.
Her love of books and supporting bookstagrammers made my heart sing and I felt seen with how she suffered with her cycles.
Another great book Olivia. I can’t wait for the next I’m so lucky to have your back catalogue to catch up on.
I was so glad to be back at The Romance Library to meet another couple and fall in love with their love story and I absolutely adored Sarah and Ben. What a clever idea to make Sarah the ultimate romance reader and aspiring romance writer who is attracted to Ben who at first dislikes romance novels. It is the ultimate enemies-to-lovers (on Sarah’s end) romance and then throw in some fake dating, forced proximity and only one bed, and you know they are destined to give into their attraction and fall in love. Even though their romance grew in connection and intimacy throughout the book, I appreciated that there was a little something for them to work through before getting their HEA and then their HEA was so perfect. Thank you to author Olivia Spring for another opportunity to read one of her books early! It truly was my pleasure!
Ahhhhh I love going back to the Romance Library where everyone gets a HEA! Olivia, thank you again for writing such a beautiful romance! This has the perfect amount of spice peppered throughout the wonderful story! I need my own romance library
When a great lover of romance books meets a hater of romance books…
Not only is Sarah a huge lover of romance books, but her big dream is to write one too. After facing the biggest betrayal of the people that should love her the most, Sarah is ready to have a fresh start, with the help of her best friends, who are running the Romance Library in Sunshine Bay. However, her journey to Sunshine Bay couldn’t start any worse, as she sees the biggest hater of romance books there. Sarah understands that not everybody loves the same genre, but what that stranger says on the train is so unrespectful that even upon her arrival in Sunshine Bay she is still fuming. And then she learns that the same man is no one else but Ben Eaves, brother of Theo, owner of the Romance Library and in a loving relationship with Jess, Sarah’s BFF. How can her friends allow Ben to help out with the library, when he is so against everything it stands for? Yet after some time passes, Ben for sure shows his worth. And when Sarah is in need of a fake date at her own brother’s wedding, Ben surprises everyone by offering his help. Once in Spain, Sarah and Ben find themselves unable to deny the attraction that is simmering between them. However, even once back home and the closer they are getting, Ben’s plan is to leave Sunshine Bay once his work is done. So how will this romance end for the biggest romcom lover and the biggest romcom hater?
So, where to start with this review… Okay, I will start by saying that having read several books and series of this wonderful author, and that with each book/series I fall more and more with her writing talents and the wonderful stories she writes! Just when I think that I cannot devour any of her books any more or faster, she makes me fall into the non – stop – reading – trap all over again!
I don’t know if I am speaking for every booklover like me, but whenever the main character is a bookaholic, and especially with romcoms, I am immediately hooked and I immediately love him/her!
So of course I absolutely adored Sarah from the very start! Her passion for books is so palpable from every page and I admired her wanting to give writing her own romance a shot. It is easy to read a book, but writing one yourself, that cannot be easy, otherwise everyone would be writing bestsellers, right?
What I do have to admit, is that I found it a bit strange how easily Sarah decided to make the move to Sunshine Bay. As I am very rooted to my own home, I cannot see myself packing up and leave the place I used to call home. However, the moment I got to know her background, I could understand her motivations even better. Even if working in the Romance Library would be already enough of motivation 😊.
Sarah is also the kind of person that wouldn’t hesitate to help her friends and loved ones out. She doesn’t hesitate one moment to help out Jess and Theo, and even when they ask her to work together with Ben, she puts her own thoughts aside, for her friends.
I understand that not everyone shares the same opinions and thoughts, that is just normal. And I can for sure understand Sarah’s fury upon hearing Ben’s conversation where he just trashes out about romance books. But I also have to say, that it wasn’t Ben’s brightest idea to say such things out loud, in public, whether he means it or not. It needs to be said, Ben isn’t just against romance books, but he also doesn’t believe in love (anymore). And it saddened me to read that, because everyone should believe in love and its power…
Sarah and Ben couldn’t be more opposites than they are in this book, and of course that means that they are clashing several times. And those clashes for sure were funny to read, especially when Sarah is tasked with making Ben read romance books, in order to change his mind 😊.
But the greatest bits were where Sarah and Ben are actually getting along. Even if they don’t always share the same thoughts, together they have the best ideas to improve the Romance Library. And they slowly see that in fact there are many things they *do* have in common.
And I was smiling when Sarah realizes that Ben is in fact a great guy, despite him not believing in love. Because Ben shows his amazing character in so many different ways. Not only when he suggests to accompany Sarah to the destination wedding of her brother, but we see his gentle, caring character also when Sarah is going through that painful time of the month. Doesn’t every woman wants to be pampered like Ben is pampering Sarah???
And then there is Spain, where things truly take a different turn for this pair. What starts as a supportive role for Ben, shifts into a fake – date, trying to fool everyone and show how passionately in love Sarah and Ben are with each other. I have to say, on a sidenote, I truly despised Sarah’s sister and Sarah’s ex. I just cannot understand how you can just be like that…
But in Spain everyone sees what Sarah and Ben aren’t seeing themselves yet. And seeing them realizing that what they are feelings goes beyond, was just an ‘aaaw – moment’ for us readers. Of course sparks fly around since that moment and I wasn’t sorry for it! 😊
I have had several laughs in this book too. Obviously the clashing between Sarah and Ben is one reason. But the main laughs came from reading how all the ‘typical tropes’ were being ridiculed by Ben, like the enemies – to – friends, the fake – date, the only – one – bed,… And yet then suddenly…
Now, of course things don’t go completely straightforward, as both Sarah and Ben have been terribly hurt and scarred in the past. And that pain and those scars make them not truly really understand their feelings and emotions, nor do that pain and those scars give them the courage to admit and speak out about what they are feeling.
It was absolutely amazing how the amazing author that Olivia Spring is, is able to show us all these cliché tropes, and have a little laugh about them, yet shows us that at the most unexpected moments and ways, well, clichés are created for a reason! But Olivia also perfectly pinpoints the struggles that people are facing. How a love that broke you, can hold you back from experiencing the greatest feelings and emotions that love can bring with it.
This was a wonderful story, as it gave me all the emotions I expected. But it also gave me so much more, as I truly connected with all the great characters, I felt everything they were going through in my bones. And like I said, I just devoured this book. I don’t think it would be even possible to read it more and faster than I already did!
Olivia Spring shows with this book once again what a talented author she is. I don’t think that she will ever be able to write a book that I won’t love or devour! 😊
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Fake Relationship, Workplace Romance, Slow Burn, Friends to Lovers. Proximity, Mutual Friends/Relative, Small Town Olivia Spring’s latest work, The Romcom Writer, is the third book in her series, The Romance Library. Like the other books in this series, the story is delightfully rendered from start to finish. I also love that Ms. Spring sprinkles in couples from her other books, featuring characters from her various series, such fun! After a toxic breakup (involving her boyfriend and her SISTER), would be writer Sarah is ecstatic about starting her new job at the Romance Library. She will get to work closely with her best friend Jess and Jess’ fiancé Theo. If that wasn’t enough Ben, Theo’s handsome younger brother is a part of the work crew. On the train, when she hears her gorgeous riding partner trash talking the ENTIRE genre of romance books she is infuriated. Imagine her chagrin and disappointment when she discovers that the romance book basher is none other than Ben. The pair is off to a very rock start! Disappointed in love, Ben has no reason to think that romance stories have any hint of reality! However, he regrets that his intriguing new co-worker heard his views on something she holds dear. Will he be able to forge a working relationship with her or at best a friendship? Conclusion: Ben and Sarah have tons of amazing chemistry, and their wicked sense of humor complement each other giving readers sparkling dialog and chuckles along the way. Ben and Sarah are at different crossroads in their lives and their responses to the love they lost couldn’t be more different. Ben has shut himself off to the idea of happily ever after while budding romance writer Sarah believes firmly that true love exists. While they are grappling with these very different concepts of romance, they form a beautiful friendship that could lead to a lasting connection, if only Ben would allow himself to see that he is enough. Final word, I had so much fun reading this book and I really enjoyed the shenanigans at Sarah’s brother’s wedding. This book is my favorite one in the series. I am looking forward to seeing what the gifted and prolific Ms. Spring brings us next. Favorite Lines: Fifteen minutes later, I added, ‘a romance novel written by Sarah Jeffries’. I got the feeling he was a bit of a player, so no doubt he’d probably try and charm library members so he could invite them upstairs. I’d only known her a week and I could already see how impressive Sarah was. Which proves once again that romance novels are realistic. Boom!’ I expected Ben to gloat or reply with some kind of cocky comeback, but instead he just flashed that infuriatingly gorgeous Colgate smile and left. I was starting to think that what Jess had said in the beginning was actually true: Ben was a good guy. ‘Isn’t it just!’ Glenda said. ‘Those Eaves boys are real good ’uns. Ben’s a sweetheart just like his big brother.’ His eyes widened, then he blushed, like it was the first time he’d ever been paid a compliment. https://theretiredreader.com/f/the-ro...
First, I want to thank Olivia Spring and Hartley Publishing for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.
Olivia Spring is back in her third book in The Romance Library Series entitled The Romcom Writer! OMG seriously no joke I was at the gyn where my dr was running for an hour and a half and I didn’t care!! Olivia had me cracking up laughing and very entertained! I literally forgot how funny her books were and may I add how spicy too lol.
As I mentioned earlier this is Olivia’s third book in The Romance Library Series. You may read this as a standalone book however if you would like to know the backstory of the characters I suggest you read the first two books in the series. Book one is The Romance Library (Jess and Theo’s story) and book two is the Love Librarian (Jane and Jackson’s story).
Olivia dedicates this book to all romance book lovers out there who seek their real-life book boyfriend. (That would be me lol) Ohh Olivia it would be very nice to find a man who buys you books, encourages my reading addiction and reenacts my favorite spicy scenes.
Rachel needs to be commended for her beautiful cover graphics on The Romcom Writer book cover! It is Olivia’s favorite and I can totally understand why it is a perfect fit for this book!
OMG!! That very first line in the first paragraph totally threw me off gaurd and I couldn’t help laughing!!! What a way to start off the book!!! I was not the only mind that went straight to the gutter at that moment!!
Mr. Train guy who for a brief minute could have been book boyfriend material quickly became a dud! However, this girl right here does not want to date a 6 ft man seeing as I am only 5’2” and you don’t need to look like god. Just have a good heart. Oh and the conversations about the books being realistic I was dying when I read this part of it!!! I agree….where are the short guys (for the short girls like me)? Where are women falling in love with men with receding hair lines, ED, and my favorite man boobs?! However, for him to say all this I would have probably given him a piece of my mind as well.
I could not smile and giggle with the whole library scene!! Never did I think you could pick up a guy in a library…but according to The Romcom Writer they do. Guess I should hang out at the library more often and maybe I will find my person!
This is the book for you if you like fake dating, enemies-to-lover, small-town romance, workplace romance, forced proximity, library setting, destination wedding and oh she has some spicy scenes thrown into the mix!! She adds a lot of fun twists into this book that will make you smile and have you crack up laughing! This is such a fun read that needs to be put on your TBR List.
5 ⭐️ Tropes: dual POV, enemies to lovers, workplace romance, fake dating, small town romance, only one bed, forced proximity, destination romance, bookish FMC, reformed playboy
“ It didn’t matter if he was pretty, he was a d!ck. If you sprinkled glitter on a turd, of course it would look better, but underneath it’d still be a lump of shit. I just had to remember that.”
I LOVED the instant hate and enemies to lovers in this book! Because I’d be just as outraged as Sarah hearing someone trash romance novels the way Ben did. To make things worse she thought she would never see that jerk again but the universe had a different idea and the jerk was not only her new coworker but her besties husband’s bother! AND they were both working at her friends romance themed library / book store; which made him hating romance novels so much worse!
Sarah and Ben were thrown together, to work on special projects and help each other out and I ate it up! I LOVED the hateful and hilarious banter between them and their chemistry was undeniable 😍
Sarah very verbally made it known she hated him. When her brother told her he was getting married in Spain in less than a month she was a wreck knowing she would have to face things and people she ran away from. To her surprise Ben offered to be her date and her fake boyfriend for the wedding to help her safe face.
“But remember, Jeffries, don’t go falling in love with me like they do in those books of yours. This is just to get revenge on your ex.”
But in true romcom fashion spending time together pretending to be a couple slowly blurred those lines and neither Sarah or Ben stood a chance!
“If you’d asked me about Ben a couple of weeks ago, I would’ve said that he was the red flag poster boy. But now, it was like those flags had all been bathed in green paint.”
I seriously SWOONED over Ben, HARD! He hated love yet he was so sweet and attentive, caring and protective of Sarah. It was adorable and I loved everything about it. They were seriously so perfect together.
AND not only were they perfect but the setting and the town?! It was MAGICAL 😍 I adored the bookish theme and the romance library, it was such a cute concept and honestly wish it was a real place because everything about it is a book lovers dream.
Mark your calendars for March 20th 2026 because you won’t want to miss this!
Thank you to Olivia Spring for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Right from the very first sentence i was pulled into the story, it was hilarious and i definitely wanted to keep reading to see how it all unfolded. It also kept me intrigued throughout the story about Sarah and Ben and why they had both relocated to Sunshine Bay to start afresh…
Both Sarah and Ben were such likeable characters and i loved them both, they were such wonderful people. When you got to know him Ben was amazing and so kind and caring and just wanted to look after people, especially Sarah. They were both hilariously funny and i lived for the banter between them, it was soooo funny! And Sarah was such a nice person and was just trying to be the best at what she does and be happy doing it too.
I absolutely loved the descriptions of all the places in this book and i love Olivia’s writing style and descriptions and as always i build a picture in my head of what everything looks like and its always wonderful. Sunshine Bay sounds like such an amazing place and i wish it was real because i would love to go and live there and go to The Romance Library too, that would be perfect!!
I LOVED the whole story, everything about it was wonderful, i loved the characters, i loved the banter, i loved the Romance Library, i loved Sunshine Bay, I loved the cameos from previous characters, i particularly loved all the mentions of Bookstagram and all the things that book nerds do!
I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole of The Romance Library series but i actually think that this book is my absolute favourite one…..
Love spicy rom coms and books about books?! This one is for you! And can I just say that I wish I could visit the Romance Library! It is such a magical place!
A not so pleasant meet cute with a very handsome stranger. And then you get a big shock when you find out you have to work with him. But maybe you shouldn’t judge him so harshly based on that first impression….
This book is rom com gold and just like all of Olivia’s books, you forget you’re even reading! It immediately drew me in and I couldn’t get enough of the tension and silly disagreements between Sarah and Ben. She is determined to turn him into a romance book lover if it’s the last thing she does.
Their interactions had me so intrigued with their playful banter disguised as giving each other a hard time! So entertaining! And add in close proximity as they are sort of forced to work on some projects together at the romance library. Their “enemies”energy of course transforms into feelings of attraction that they both try to brush off. We all know where this is going and following along with them to see how they get there was chef’s kiss! So many caring and thoughtful gestures that gave me all the warm fuzzies! And the spicy scenes are top tier! I could rave about this book all day!
I really enjoyed all of the romance book references in this story, and the concept of a business devoted to the genre. Sarah is excited about her new full-time job as a marketing manager for a romance library and bookstore in the seaside town of Sunshine Bay (England). She’s escaping a messy broken relationship involving her sister back in her tiny home-town, and is looking forward to trying to write her own romance book. While traveling to her new job, Sarah overhears a hot man dissing romance on the train. That irritating man turns out to have his own connections to the romance library business. Ben is traveling to Sunshine Bay to temporarily help his brother and his fiancé with their romance business’ expansion and to serve as his brother’s best man. After Ben offers to be Sarah’s fake date for her own brother’s wedding and they start to spend time together, Sarah begins to realize her perceptions of Ben were wrong. Feelings grow, but Ben has his own baggage. His time in Sunshine Bay has always been temporary, and their clock is running out. This romance has adult spice along the way to the HEA. It’s a satisfyingly swoony story that’s hard to put down! I received an advance copy and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Today is my turn on the book tour for this gorgeous book!
This book had me giggling, kicking my feet, AND tearing up. Basically the full romcom experience 🥹💕
Ben and Sarah’s dynamic is so addictive! The banter? Top tier. The tension? IMMACULATE. And don’t even get me started on our MMC. The way this man went from annoying, anti-romance grump to the most swoon-worthy, secretly soft hero had me MELTING 🫠💘
And the emotional layers? I was not prepared 🥹 Between the family drama, the betrayals, and Sarah’s journey through writer’s block, it gave the romance so much depth. What really surprised me though was how much heart this story had. It wasn’t just fun and flirty, it was about healing, trusting again, and finding your spark 💫
I closed this book with the biggest smile and the strongest urge to book a seaside getaway and fall in love 🥰 loved!
Available on KU now!
Thank you so much to @ospringauthor for sending me a digital copy to review and for having me on your book tour 🙏🏻 I am beyond grateful xx
Anything Olivia writes, I’ll read it! Which means I have her whole back catalogue to buy and read.♥️
Oh, my days! This was incredible. I love every single thing about this book. From the moment we meet Sarah I adored her. She’s fierce, strong and hilarious! I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I literally laughed out loud because of Sarah. The hashtag was *chefs kiss* lol (read it and you’ll know). Ben is just as amazing (My new book boyfriend lol). He completely stole my heart especially once you get to know the real him and see beneath the facade. The banter is on point. I lapped it all up. Honestly, just read it. And, of course, the spice was so damn hot and sexy. Maybe one day, I’ll recreate some of those scenes! 🔥🌶️
Yes there is a plethora of tropes in this book but they work, fit in the story perfectly and aren’t forced.
When it comes to the epilogue in romcoms, they can be hit or miss. This was a….. smash! It ended the book perfectly.
Olivia just knows how to write the most lovable characters ever and stories that warm your romance loving heart.
And regarding the dedication, definitely think I’ve found my own book boyfriend 😜
Thank you, Olivia, for the arc of this phenomenal book. It was a pure joy to read
‘What the hell are you doing here?’ I snapped as my stomach bottomed out. ‘Sarah?’ Jess looked at me and frowned. ‘What’s wrong?’ ‘That’s him!’ I shouted, pointing furiously as I tried to process what was happening. ‘He’s the twat who was talking shit about romance books on the train!’
And that’s when I stopped reading. Because this lady has announced that she is an aspiring romance novelist no fewer than 10 times in the first chapter and she’s so naïve and so ridiculous. She sees this man on the train and he complains about women liking romcoms. I’m not saying he’s any prize but the first time she sees him again the above is what happens. She loses her mind on a perfect stranger who wasn’t even talking to her and she had never ever met. I just can’t even who does that. She has all these hearts in her eyes about switching to a career. She has never even attempted, and is angry at anyone who has a different opinion. Ugh. Hard pass.
Wow! From the first time this couple encounter each other on a train to the incredibly happy ending, I really got taken in to the story of Sarah and Ben, intended fellow workers in the Romance Library coming from such different viewpoints. Sarah is a thorough romance novel devotee and Ben, shades of Jane Austen's Mr. Darcy, gets caught making scathing statements that set her firmly against him despite his drop dead looks and single status. Thereafter author Olivia Spring brought a romance filled with tropes that shape their relationship, shifting from stone cold to passionate. It's a fun read that I devoured in a little over a day.
Warning: Ben at the story's start was hard to take. But as his layers of protection fall away, he's oh, so dreamy!
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
This was such a fun read, so much so that I didn't want to put it down and ended up reading it in 2 sittings! 😍 We follow the story of Sarah and Ben who have both relocated to the small town of Sunshine Bay. Sarah is an aspiring romance writer and Ben doesn't believe in romance stories! Both characters are completely relatable and as we follow their story, their backgrounds become clearer and we see why they both behave the way they do. I absolutely loved the banter they have together which left me chuckling while I was reading it! 😂 There were so many tropes throughout this book and honestly it kept me so hooked because I kept wondering how each one would be tackled and what the outcomes for Sarah and Ben would be! If you want a book that will have you laughing. crying and kicking your feet up in glee then read this! 💕
I received a digital ARC of this book. This is the third and current final book in the series, if you want to avoid spoilers you should read them in order. I have loved this whole series, and every Olivia Spring book that I’ve ever read. She pulls you into the story and you can’t stop turning the pages. There are some spicy scenes along the way. Sarah is moving to Sunshine Bay to work full time at the Romance Library. She’s also trying to become a writer. Ben is moving temporarily to Sunshine Bay to help his brother with some renovations on the Romance library. Instant enemies until Sarah needs a date to her brother’s wedding and Ben offers to be her fake boyfriend. But what happens when the fake starts to feel real? Do they give in, or just deny it and go back to being enemies? You’ll have to read to find out! Clear your schedule because you won’t want to stop turning the pages.
When Sarah uproots her life to work at the Romance Library - and write a romance novel of her own - she's excited to meet Ben, the brother of her best friend's fiance. They clash at first, but soon the friction between them becomes sparks. They both vow it's a short-term arrangement, but their connection is too strong to ignore.
This rom com has some of my very favorite tropes in its first half: Enemies to Lovers, Fake Dating, and Only One Bed. Not to mention a wedding! In its second half, it settles into a more bookish vibe, with lots of details about the Romance Library interspersed with the burgeoning relationship between Sarah and Ben. Best of all, the book culminates with another wedding - in the Romance Library!
A tropey romp with plenty of heart and heat. 4.5 stars.
[I received a complimentary ARC from the author. Opinions are my own.]
Sarah Jeffries and Ben Eaves have the opposite of a meet cute after she overhears him berating romance novels. But then she’s forced to work alongside him at The Romance Library.
Jess, the library owner, and Sarah’s best friend also tasks Sarah with picking out one romance book per week for Ben to read as a way to make him appreciate the genre.
After a trip to Sarah’s brother’s wedding, Ben and Sarah become bed buddies, and it inspires Sarah’s writing streak.
I enjoyed these two characters, the ups and downs, the push and pull. And it all started with this quote from the book:
Ben using sarcasm: ‘The couple always live happily ever after at the end.’ ‘But that’s the point!’ Sarah snapped. ‘It’s comforting. Life’s depressing, so readers need the reassurance of knowing that everything’s going to work out.’
Having read the first two books in this series of course I jumped at the chance to read this one.
We follow Sarah and Ben who have both relocated to the small town of Sunshine Bay. Sarah is an aspiring writer and Ben doesn’t like romance stories. Will Sarah be able to change his mind?
There are so many tropes in this story including enemies to lovers, fake dating, small town romance, workplace romance, forced proximity, only one bed and it’s absolutely the perfect book for book lovers.
I loved every minute of this story and didn’t want it to end. The banter and chemistry between these two was off the charts. It was fantastic to catch up with previous characters in the book.
A spicy book set in a Romance Library? Sign me up. Ben and Sarah have top tier banter and serious chemistry. While he’s completely jaded and done with love, she’s an aspiring romance writer who still believes in the happily ever after even after a hurtful heartbreak. She's determined to make him understand the appeal of romance. Watching their enemies to lovers tension evolve was fabulous. Between the swoon worthy small but significant acts of love and the spicy scenes, this book is a fantastic read. If you like steamy, fake-dating, small-town romances with a bookish component, this is your read.
Really enjoyed The Romcom Writer. I read it in one sitting.
Benjamin Buttface and Jeffries were well written and likable, even if Ben is a little egotistical at the beginning. He has a certain charm and I love that Sarah doesn't take any of his crap!
'mammoth magic stick' had me howling 😂
I really want to visit The Romance Library and the retreat and bar sound amazing!
So Charming! The English seaside village of Sunshine Bay is the charming setting for the final installation in the Romance Library series. It’s where all our reader dreams come true. Sarah is equally repulsed and attracted to co-worker Ben when she starts her new job at the Romance Library. After working closely together, Sarah soon learns that Ben’s swagger is all for show. Enter the fake-dating trope portion of the show! This book was so much fun, I loved Ben and Sarah!
I’ve not read this particular series by Olivia spring however I’ve read a few of her previous books and this one does not disappoint!
At first I found the characters abit unlikeable due to how they were both very “I love/hate romance so much” however I LOVED the character building. And as the story progressed I understood why the characters felt that way. Benjamin buttface you have redeemed yourself🤣and I also love how Sarah grew in her confidence.
I lovedddd this fake dating trope and it made the whole story for me!! The whole setting and romance library felt so dreamy, wish it was real miss Olivia!!!
Book 3 in this lovely Sunshine Bay series. These books can be read as a standalone, but I don’t know why you’d want to miss out on all the amazingness.
Ben and Sarah have such a fun story. Their disdain for each other from the beginning morphs into a beautiful story of love. These two love each other so well and it’s so sweet to see how they support each other. ❤️
highly recommend the series . I’m not mark it’s under my husbands account
Another fantastic read from Olivia spring love love love the library series . Just as much as the love hotel . Great author with relatable characters and lots of spicy scenes . Can’t get enough of Olivia spring . Highly recommend
Really nice book with very exquisite spice. I absolutely loved it. This type of misunderstanding turned to banter to love was amazing. I really liked both of them and their happy ending. Really happy about the ending, even if it was no grovelling involved.
I’ve loved every minute of these books! Ben and Sarah are amazing and definitely live up to the expectation imo 😍😍 I will 100% be revisiting the Romance Library often 💜
I enjoyed reading Ben and Sarah's love atory. I loved their humor and especially loved Sarah's snarkiness when she was teading Ben. It was nice to get a glimpse of oir friends from The Love Hotel. I recommend The Romcom Writer!
I am obsessed with this series, and I just want to be in the library with the characters! The chemistry between these enemies to lovers was off the charts, and it was addictive to read. The scenes at the wedding were wild! I can't wait to see what Olivia writes next.
