I only bought this book because I saw that it was going to be drawn by Juan Ferreyra, and I wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic work from him. Some great stuff from Straczynski too, I’m not usually a huge fan of his but this was a really great little treatise on purpose.

This is the most philosophical of the stories in this series of one-shots from JMS, and it has the best artwork. Still, I think I like Doctor Doom/Rocket Raccoon just a little bit more. Though, this story ties in very brilliantly and very specifically with the Doom/Rocket story! The tie-in provides a cohesion to these one-shots. The themes in this one are the meaning of life and the universe, as well as the significance of beauty in the world. JMS also builds on the ethical issues that made Galactus such a unique villain when Lee and Kirby first introduced him. Galactus is driven by the need to survive and fill his hunger, plus this story shows the greater significance behind Galactus’s world-consuming acts. Also, Ghost Rider is super OP in this story.

Bait and switch. Galactus is only in this for a few panels, and there is really no fight to speak of.
The first part of this is Ghost Rider and The Thing, and it's basically a comedy. Then, it wraps up with The Watcher giving a very wordy explanation about the nature of Galactus and of the cycles of dying and rebirthed universes.

It had nice art at least.

The worst one of these by a large margin. I don't think Straczynski has ever read a Ghost Rider comic because that's not how he works. Of course, Ghost Rider can't give Galactus his Penance Stare. How would that even work? This whole thing is just pure nonsense. Also, Juan Ferreyra, Ghost Rider in no way has bone eyebrows.

Funny how you find things in places you never would suspect you would find them...the main takeaway from this book...this is the clearest explanation of why Galactus (G) exists! Do yourself a favor: read this issue before the new FF movie is released! G looks like he is coming on super strong! And be sure to tell Santa what a good boy I was for recommending this book...could use the help!

Ngl, this is one of my favorite comics I have read in recent times.
Very insightful- I thought it was going to be a big brawl but i got something better in my opinion
Gives you insight on WHO galactus is.
I love the interaction with the thing and ghost rider, its very wholesome

I recommend this for anyone interested in learning why galactus does the things he does.

Amazing

Not a lot of ppl will like this one-shot. In a world of Multi-verse characters and stories this title does not stand out or is it particularly interesting. I liked it, though. The simplicity of the story hides a really good philosophical debate. Does death make life worth more?

Beautiful art.

The art was the real star of the show. So good. The story was good too. Very thoughtful. One of the better stories in this series.

I was not expecting an existential dissertation but here we are. The Galactus What If’s left such a poor taste in my mouth I was scared to pick this up. But they got me.

Feels like the author hasn't read much Ghost Rider stories as this is literally not how Ghost Rider works.

Galactus has been my favorite character in comics for a long time. I find him to be such a compelling figure when written well (as most characters are). This issue treats him with that respect. Ghost Rider tries to defeat Galactus and the Watcher explains things. Without spoiling the story I loved how it was handled. The art was also very nice and Galactus looks great in some of the panels.
