I was given this book as part of the blog tour. I when I started reading this book. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a totally different thought process when I started reading. You meet Eric Holtzer, A spoiled rich Prince, so I automatically he was going to be a brooding Alpha. His mother sends him to America in hopes of making a man out of him, When he first meets Vivian DeCrane in a hotel lobby . she was different and he knew it. She turned his life upside down.

This book was a good read. I really loved Vivian, she is a no nonsense woman. Who won't take crap from anyone including a playboy prince with a passion for fast cars and women. She keeps him in his place a lot of the time. When Eric is cut off his mother asks Vivian to help him out. She has second thoughts about it but does. She kicks butt big time

Eric on the other hand kind a drove me crazy, he seems too weak at times. He does need a bit of a back bone. He is such a spoiled brat you kind a want to spank him, But he does start to grow up by the end of the book. He realizes that he is in love and will do what it takes to.

The book was a little disjointed at the beginning but the author does make up for as she progresses through the book. You see the characters grow and become better people towards the end. You can feel the heartbreak in both their lives and the author portrays that very well. Over all this was an enjoyable read for me. If you don't want tor read about a man that isn't a brooding alpha and the woman who builds him back up into a better person,

Eric Holtzer is a young Prince who is sent to the US to help in reviving the trees and greenery at some of the local parks. He is there to attend a conference and it is in that very hotel where he sets his eyes on Vivian DuCrane. He is immediately taken with her beauty and feelings that he's never had before.

Vivian DuCrane is an owner of several bars. Her family is well known bar keepers that go way back. She is a very strong, independent woman. She has her secrets as well and doesn't quite immediately give Eric the attention that he wants.

Eric is falling for Vivian hard and he wants to be a better person. He wants to change his ways and make her see that they can be good together. I kind of felt sorry for Eric some and wanted to just yell and scold him like the spoiled child he would act like.

This was a good read. I really liked Vivian's character. It's always the strong woman that gets my attention. I'm really glad that Candy O'Donnell didn't go the route of damsel in distress. Instead she sort of reversed the roles. Eric is the one that seemed weak and very much spoiled that he grated on my nerves a time or two.

This was a very well written story. The characters develop and grow as the story plays out. Candy did a great job of conveying the emotions of the characters and making it so that you are able to connect with them emotionally. A good romance story that isn't like others that start off from the jump by slowly eases it's way into it. I enjoyed reading this story and read it in one sitting.

Eric Holtzer, prince and playboy extraordinaire goes through the motions of being a spoiled royal. He eventually grows up and learns the value of people and doing right. Eric is in the US doing goodwill work when he meets Vivian DuCrane by chance. Vivian basically knocks the breath out of Eric as he falls for her in that instant meeting.

As the book progresses, I felt a little disjointed about Eric and Vivian. I wasn’t sure about who they were and how they interacted. Then it suddenly dawned on me, if the roles were reversed it would be totally normal. Eric’s point of view and being unsure of Vivian and her feelings is more like what I’m used to reading for a gal. Vivian is the strong and remote character. Vivian has her own secrets but wants Eric to understand.

There is a lot of growing up on Eric’s part as we follow the events through the book. Without spoiling the events, I can just say they are pretty severe and would make anyone grow up and stop being spoiled. I liked the details and descriptions of the places and events. Once I had my ah ha moment about Eric & Vivian, I was able to settle in and enjoy the rest of the book. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this playboy falling in love and becoming a better person.

First Encounter was a great read. Eric Holtzer is a Prince and is used to getting whatever he wants. He is a ladies man and has them falling at his knees. At first he seemed a little to cocky and thought he was entitled to things just because of who he is. Eric is attracted to Vivian DuCrane. Vivian seems to be a down earth, level headed person. She come from money too but she doesn't have the view that she is entitled to everything.

Some things happen that brings Eric back down to earth and gives him a little better perception on life. Eric goes through somethings that pull at your heartstrings. It does bring him and Vivian closer. You can't help but root for them to have a successful relationship but of course when things start to go good Eric messing things up. Eric begin the Prince has some great resources to use to try to win Vivian back. I was surprised at something in Vivian's past that comes out towards the end.

It's a short quick read. The ending left me, trying to turn the page to read me. It's book one in A Lady's Series and I hope we get more of Eric and Vivian.

This was such a fun and exciting book. I really enjoyed it. I haven’t read many romance novels like this one. It was very original, and I really liked the romance between Vivian and Eric.

This book was very well written with amazing details. The relationships were rich and I connected easily. This book will keep your attention and you won’t want to put it down.

I truly love this book and I would recommend it.

This was a fantastic short read. About Prince Eric. He had it all cars, money and women anytime anywhere. His parents were getting fed up with his craziness and vowed to make him go out into the world on his own. In walks Vivian little did he know his mother was behind him meeting her. This book definitely made you turn the pages faster. It kept my attention and it was a one sitting book. You must pick it up and read it and find out if Prince Eric and Vivian end up together. Also to see if he can live without all his riches...

Prince Eric has it all. Money, cars and any woman he wants. He meets Vivian while doing some charity work in the US. When he meets her he wants to change. He needs to change to have her.

Really great quick read that I enjoyed.
