Ember I knew the minute he barged into my father’s office I was in trouble. It was evident in the way his flinty, coal black gaze raked over my body. The way my body instantly reacted to the challenge in his eyes horrified me. He was the president of the Immortal Descendants, barbaric, merciless. His presence is wreaking havoc on my senses. He makes me want to submit to him. Destroyed by the truth about my father, I’m incapable of fighting him off. No matter how many times I run, he always finds me.
Priest I hate her, I swear I do. She’s nothing more than a manipulative, beguiling succubus. I’ll expose her for what she truly is and ruin everything innocent about her. I won’t stop until she submits to me, on her knees. Whatever good she thinks she sees in me, she’s wrong. She doesn’t know that my soul is tainted, my heart nonexistent. She’s thawing my frozen heart. I have to eliminate her before she destroys me.
Okay, let me start out by saying the author did an amazing job writing this MC story on Priest and September. I just didn't care for Priest and his band of brothers. It was the name ho's that the women were referred to and the kidnapping, which alluded to possibly killing September. He was a cold ass mf.
This was absolutely a plethora of emotions and feelings displayed by the two throughout this story. Love missing, anger, both experienced painful deaths of their mothers, finding out/confirming family secrets, and eventually catching feelings.
Near the end, Priest grew on me. I appreciated how much he had grown, letting go of that anger and animosity. Letting love in.
I loved this story and everything about it!! Priest and his energy is everything! I loved how he was somewhat the villain in the beginning but they got their happy ending at the end. I couldn’t help but smile throughout the book!! Also I’m glass September’s father got exactly what he deserved!
The beginning of this story was disturbing, don’t get wrong, I love a spicy book, but let’s stop confusing sexual assault as an invitation for secs. I wish some of these writers would stop that and then want to give disclaimers for triggers. Also giving extremely younger women to men 25yrs senior to them is grooming. Once you get past that part it’s an okay read. I loved her determination to get to the truth of who her father truly was and his journey to open up and trust.
There was NOTHING sexy or romantic about this book. Did I give up on it too fast? I don't know, but main characters like Priest don't appeal to everyone. I got to 32% and couldn't go further. Not knocking the author, just hated this book and characters. Sorry.
Priest and September's interaction started out as revenge on Priest's part. They had always been attracted to each other from afar, but after her kidnapping, their chemistry grew and grew until they gave in to their passionate feelings. They ended up bringing each other love and peace which helped them overcome their traumatic childhood issues. I was glad to see the growth in Priest which allowed him to let September and her love heal him as well as herself. I didn't expect the connection between their families that came out. I was happy when they didn't let that come between them. I couldn't stand September's daddy and fiance. You could tell that they didn't respect women or anyone else with the type of illegal activity that they were involved with. Ms. Cynae has written another great book that I couldn't put down!!
Everybody in this book ain’t shit except for September lol. I’d put Priest a little lower on that scale because he’s some sort of vigilante and aware that he isn’t that good of a person, but September’s daddy? That 🥷🏾 is astronomically higher than everyone on the ain’t shit scale.
I don’t have much else to say about this book. I liked it, and it’s similar to other books in this series (as far as there’s a motorcycle club and a kidnapping). I thought the reveal at the end was really good. I figured out why Priest was exacting revenge after he told his story, but September surprised me. Also, when Egypt had Priest mention he didn’t know his daddy, I was nervous af that this was going to be an accidental incest situation. (It’s not.)
& for my smut girlies, Priest is nasty with it, so be ready for those scenes.
This oil was drama filled from the 1st page to the last page and it was good good!!!… September life was good, trauma filled and at the cost of other ppl lives!!!…I was so happy she found out who her daddy really was and what he was about!!!…Even she had a price tag on her head, according to her daddy!!!… Priest was a man on a mission and the fact that he walked in another man’s house and walked out with is daughter!!!…Once his story unfolded, I was disturbed and disappointed!!!… I was glad the relationship btwn the 2 was sealed and they bonded to find what they needed in each other!!!…
Wow, I didn't know where this story was going until I did. September's dad was a piece of work. Grimy as hell and only cared about himself. Giving her to Priest saved her life because her fiance Daniel was no better.
Everything in their lives had been painful. However , they found peace, love, and acceptance in each other. Lies and destruction caused chaos, but healing and love brought happiness to their story.
This was my time reading a book by Egypt Cynae`and she did not disappoint. I truly enjoyed getting to know Priest and September.
Priest was September's savior in more ways than one. She tried escaping him on more than one occasion but was never successful, not that she really wanted it. Priest and his MC crew believed in helping people, especially women and children that were being mistreated. Priest and September both wanted the other before they ever ended up in their predicament. Their love was beautiful. She brought things out of Priest that nobody could. He would guard his Princess with his life. The fact that he protected her, eliminated problems, and solved at the same time was amazing. This was an outstanding read!
This standalone is so lit. Babygirl pops was no good at all with all the stuff he has done. He kills Priest baby sister and string his mom out on drugs. Put a hit on his wife and gets her killed. Sale his daughter to the highest bidder. I feel like Daniel is the one that killed his wife cause u fell in love with his daughter when she was just 16 something didn’t feel right with ol boy. U did good on the first book I read of urs and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet and while sipping on Pepsi while eating popcorn and waiting on ur next book to read
Love when a revenge story gives ALL the good feels, especially when the real villains get exactly what they deserve and more. Love when the FMC finally gets to stand up for herself after years of shrinking herself to please others and love when the MMC has been pivotal in her recognizing her worth and exposing her to the lies and guilt that were keeping her trapped in a bad situation Love when the MCs reveal their vulnerabilities and fall even harder than they could have thought was happening. Love when the MCs encourage and support each other in their healing. And it certainly helps her emotional well being when Priest eliminates the men responsible for September's subjugation and pain.
I was completely swept up in the story of Priest and September, and I couldn't help but feel a deep connection to their journey. At first, their interaction was fueled by revenge, but as they spent more time together, their mutual attraction grew into a passionate and all-consuming love. What I found particularly compelling was how their relationship helped them overcome the traumatic experiences of their childhoods. It was beautiful to see them support and heal each other, and I was heartened by the way their love brought them peace.
I also appreciated the way the author wove in the complexities of their families' dynamics. While September's father and fiancé were certainly unsavory characters, I understood why Ruby felt strongly about them. Their involvement in illegal activities and general disrespect towards others made them difficult to stomach. However, it was clear that Priest and September's love was strong enough to withstand these external challenges.
It was empowering to see September turn into the woman she was destined to be after the truth was revealed and stand up to her father. Great read

Priest was diabolical and patient. He had his eyes set on someone whom he wanted in his life watched her until he was ready to have her. September was a weak sole until she had to stand up for what was right and it wasn’t what was being done to her but what had been done to Priest. They were two flames destined for each other. Good stuff first book by this author.
This was my first read from this author and it won’t be the last. This is definitely going on my favorites list. In the beginning, Priest was aggravating lmao but he redeemed himself. I love how he slowly started to open up to Ember. I’m glad that Ember found herself and started to learn about herself. Will definitely read this again and will be checking out other books from this author.
I loved Priest!! He is epitome of bad boy doing good things. September was the pampered princess but not a stupid princess. Their mutual attraction to one another could not be denied even though both tried, but it only made for some explicit sensual scenes. Five stars Ms. Cynae’
Priest to me was a very crazy man and could hold a grudge to save his life . The way he did September in the. Being was dead wrong because she really didn’t do anything but it was her father. She had to be stong during the this time because she didn’t want to break . Priest end up letting go of his anger and he show his love for September and would die for her

I couldn’t imagine watching my own mom be killed just to find out later my dad was responsible . Priest I feel your drama I didn’t lose anyone til later but my favorite Aunt was forced into drugs that cause her to die I never could get over it but for you to be so young see your sister die and mom get worse I understand why you left live on the streets
Absolutely loved this book the most so far. The trauma that Priest and September entered at such an young age then to find out that the same person causes both of their pain. September dad was an sick evil man and was only all about himself, he didn't care what he had to do or use to accomplish his goals, he got exactly what he deserved.
Everyone was in denial about the aspects of their lives. Priest about his intentions, ember about her father and her father about who he is. I loved that after everyone accepted their part in this journey it worked out. I loved priest and PP together and how their lives intertwined before they knew each other.
What a ride!!!!!! Man there was so many ups and downs. But there were also many times when I wanted to punch Priest. And beg September not to fall for him 😩😂😂😂 But he definitely redeemed himself and I was happy they were able to be there for each other.
Wow is all I can really say. For a short read I was so intrigued the entire time and it didn't feel rushed. I really enjoyed this story. It was my first time reading a book by Egypt and I can tell that I'm going to a fan.
Egypt, I loved this journey. It had some terrible things but the loyalty formed between September and Priest was one for the books. To know that many heinous things were happening wasn't fit to see. To find true love wins every time.
What a low down evil man. He ruined so many lies and was willing to give away his daughter to another lowlife for money and power. I didn't see September and Priest ending up a couple. I thought ok girl would definitely block that. Glad it ended happily.
September father was a mess. He put his daughter through he!! and then expected her to follows his rules. He got what he deserved. Priest when they say have patience he really did have that. I’m glad he finally opened September eyes 👀.
It scares me how much some men really do view women and children as property that they can use and disregard so easily ! ! ! Priest and September complimented and completed each other ! ! !
There’s something about people’s paths crossing in such a way that you know they’ll come together. I didn’t see that huge connection but it was worth the exact moment it all came together.
