Ex-SRR operative Liam Harper only came to Blüdridge for a funeral... but he'll stay to deliver justice.
When his former comrade dies in a suspicious "accident" at his auto shop, Harper knows it's murder. The widow wants out, but two ruthless crime families have transformed this small town—in the shadow of Maryland's Civil War battlefields, and known as "Blood" Ridge—into their personal battlefield, with the garage as ground zero.
The Daggetts rule through money and addiction, the Brennans answer with violence and blood, and between them stands a duplicitous foreman playing both sides against the middle. Posing as a mechanic, Harper infiltrates the operation and discovers his friend was killed for the secrets he uncovered... and now the same killers are hunting Harper.
With corrupt cops on the payroll and innocent townspeople caught in the crossfire, Harper executes what soldiers do best—strategic chaos—turning predator against predator until the truth is exposed... no matter how bloody the reckoning.
In the town of "Blood Ridge" justice isn't served. It's engineered.
The second book in a new series of Liam Harper thrillers.

A real page turner with every page holding more breathtaking issues needing to be settled. Highly recommend.
The second Liam Harper thriller was another action-packed tale. Harper travels to Bludridge, Maryland to attend the funeral of a friend. He discovers that the town is at war, and his friend was caught in the crossfire. Harper helps the widow get justice for her husband, and he helps the townspeople stand up to corrupt officials and gangs. I will definitely read the next one.
I e read the whole series and am always excited for the next episode! Another fantastic read with shocks and turns, I also even cried at one point. As brilliant as always! Long live Liam Harper!
Blood Ridge by Jack Gatland is book 2 in the Liam Harper series. It is published on 13 July. Liam arrives in Bludridge, Maryland, for his mate’s funeral. Mike Colton served with him in the Middle East and saved his life at least twice. The town is full of tension and, on meeting Mike’s wife, Sarah, and son, Jake, finds that Mike’s death is suspicious. He didn’t intend to get caught up in the storm that erupted, but he owed Mike. There are a few different players in the town all with their own motives and agenda. What had Mike uncovered that had got him killed. A town on edge is well portrayed. Harper is a very resourceful man, and I enjoyed him getting to grips with what was happening and setting out to fix things. Full of action with great characters and a fabulous storyline.
